I'm not sure the Supra driver is familiar with how to launch. Yes, doing a burnout helps warm up the tires...but you're not supposed to launch while still burning out lol. You guys should re-do this for a more accurate race.
The guy didn’t understand how to activate the launch control … he basically put foot on break and gas and was spinning the tires to start… the Supra actually has a very good launch control and it would have probably edged out the 240
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a worse driver of a 0-60 race. The Supra was just sitting on his tires burning them up. You don’t mash it off the line until you roll a couple of feet. I demand a redo with an experienced driver! Take his license away!

I've had my rear wheels spin like that on launch. The rear brakes can't hold the wheels once the launch control starts building boost. My car is a 2014 335i X-drive for reference.
@@cliffelmore5834 then the surface mustve been wet, had a W204 FBO stage 2 supercharged C63 that launched just fine without doing a burnout, and trust me, if a FBO Stage 2 C63 can launch just fine, so can a supra. C63's are burnout monsters
Good races. The XDrive with the B58 engine is no joke. I have no issues launching my M340i RWD from a dig. Hardly any spin of the rear wheels. It just goes. But I do believe AWD cars do slow down at higher speeds compared to RWD cars. Maybe get a M340i RWD to run the Supra. The races may be closer from a dig and roll.

The BMW had a major jump ahead of the supra off the line..it would definitely had been a closer race on the 1st run if the Supra didn't spin...Supra took the roll run wins..That BMW shot off like a rocket from a dig!.
The BMW still would have lost on the roll. The Supra pulled the entire time. If the jump really made a difference, the BMW would have gradually reeled the Supra in.

Your other videos with the white Supra shows the proper way to launch a Supra. Well, maybe it’s different here in Southern California since we have warmer weather with hotter streets.
Supra driver had no idea what they were doing to launch the car and the fact that ya'll did multiple races without correcting that is amazing. Also the supra has 50/50 weight distribution, so that doesn't explain the user error. Tons of videos of other teams launching the Supra properly.

Who is driving supra? Launch control wasn’t done properly. When I had one for a weekend, I was able to get it it launch really well with minimum wheel spin and it got out of the whole with plenty of torque

BIG QUESTION. When you did the two ROLL competitions, did you use the SPRINT FEATURE? because I"m sure you would have beaten the supra in all 3 events had you used it (and if you did use it, you didn't make that clear).
Your driver in the Supra is horrible. He doesn't understand how to launch a car at a dig. He sat there and started spinning the tires before go! Then on the rolls you could hear he sat back and started accelerating just before the starting point.
No it would not be even simple logic shows that drivetran loss(AWD vs RWD) and the extra weight players a big roll straight pipes did these same races and had the same outcome

I rarely comment, but it needs to be said - this performance comparison video has zero value. You could as well do a drag race between a potato and the M240i and conclude on M240i's performance with similar meaningfulness. Potato would spin its tires less than the Supra though.

Supra guy kept hitting it earlier on the roll. Second roll looked very close, and would probably be quite even if the M240i pressed earlier.
