I'm glad this video was made; I feel like these new "fans" of FD don't realize most of the pack today was not doing the best their first few years in drifting, get rookie of the year, first qualifier and podiums right away. I've been a Chelsea fan since the bmw days and love seeing him do great now; but it didn't use to be that way. It was pro drivers in other racing Motorsports winning championships in the beginning. I grew up racing karts on dirt ovals, so I understand a little bit. I don't know if it's the street car take over guys bringing this toxic energy to drifting but there's some disgusting stuff said about drivers on the FD chat, it's sad. Anyway Congratulations to Chelsea man! 2021🏆

Love Chelsea in a Mustang, but he was the most exciting driver to watch in a BMW. I knew literally nothing about BMWs when I saw his e36 at FD. I remember walking by his pits in Atlanta and asking him if it was a JZ and he was like Nope, it's an S54 (i think) And I was like what the hell is that lmao. I also think the RX8 was pretty rad as well, most people won't remember that car, he was probably the most competitive rotary driver ever in FD and he isn't even a rotary guy.

I remember being in the pits at WTAC in Sydney and seeing what the time attack cars do to their tyres is crazy. Gotta be just as hard on tyres as drifting

Would be very interesting to see a comparison. Racing is tough on tyres/brakes, and I'd imagine you'd use a fair bit more fuel as these drift cars do short runs at a time. Could be wrong though

LSA would be a reliable high power engine that doesn’t need a rebuild every yr 🤷🏾‍♂️

wouldn't make it a single round without being rebuilt. You need a race motor to make it through a race weekend.
