Shimmy's fear was technically justified. All she knew was that *someone* was behind her, she didn't know if they were going to be friendly or be mean and force her into the water. But she *definitely* wasn't expecting the person behind her to give her a headpat.
Shinmy immediatly recognized Eiki Shiki sama and got scared due to how Eiki usually acts (the never ending lectures). Shinmy sure felt relieved when all Eiki did was a gentle headpat. (that is just how I saw the scene tbh)
