Aint that a bitch..... Ive ran into "self inflicted" problems myself occasionally, I think we've all been there - done that. I dont think Id trust those stereo jack connectors anyways. They've always looked a little sketchy??
I really didn’t/don’t like the stereo jacks. I ended up just soldering the wires together because the solder didn’t stick well to that pin jack. Had to open it up about three times to finally get it fixed. It was a LONG day. Very tedious work. Seems like the Tron god always causes a self-inflicted wound on me. But! I get around them somehow. rofl
If you really care about the cosmetic side, try covering foil. Did a skyhunter in grey, came out nicely, adds some rigidity aswell. Do some colors tho, grey was stupid, looks too much like danger in the skies.
That connector should be fed from the control surface to the leading edge of the wing. That metal connector has rings around it to keep it from being pushed forward when the boom is inserted. What side of the wing is it? I might have the plastic piece laying around from one i crashed.

I actually have been thinking of laminating. Just have not gotten to it yet. Good suggestion. Thank you.

I got it fixed by soldering it. Most likely better than the original. :)
That coax cable, set too high. Wow. As long as it works now, not a worry in the world.
👍💪✌
Yeah, I think I now remember if I kind of angled the boom up, it did slip past it. At my age I failed to remember than yesterday. lol
