- Here is an in depth review of the new modular roof rack from Badass Tents for the Ford Bronco. You can see more details in my written review with more pics on the Bronco6g.com forum here: www.bronco6g.c...
Very good video, thanks. You answered a couple of my questions, number one was, can the roof panels be removed. 👍 I may be putting my order in soon, I have a build date of 3/28. Badlands lux Sasquatched.
Some type of stick on foam might be a good idea on the underside of the rack to prevent scratching of the roof panels
I'm very interested in this roof rack for my Bronco.
How long does it take to remove? Do you have to disassemble the crossbars if you take it off or just the rear two?
Did you end up taking the first bar off from the front?
Would it take a 180 or 280 degree awning?
Great question, I'd like to know that myself!
Nice! I was looking at this rack. How's the wind noise when driving?
Wind noise with windows up is not noticeable until you get to about 55 and then you can hear it. But that is at least somewhat true with every rack I've owned - especially with skis on it. There is a wind deflector available - that might help. I don't know if it's louder or quieter than the OEM rack.
OEM rack on our Ford Edge or Ford Explorer has absolutely zero wind noise even over 90 MPH. So … it IS possible to make a rack without wind noise, but it probably requires education in aerodynamics or a wind tunnel.
@@davidheckart639 have you ever removed the rack to see if there is a difference? Also, given that the bronco is a hard top convertible it's not reasonable to expect the same level of sound insulation through the thin roof panels. But I agree that some are going to be quieter than others... But this is a Bronco - not a Mercedes S500.
