Dude i've spent half a year of my life searching this, there was another video of this, but it is lost in time.
I was there all those years back. It was a first time I was at a live orchestra event and I'm not ashamed to say that I cried like a little b*tch

Whoa that's incredible! I used to watch this video all the time back then. Even now, I think it's probably still the best orchestral performance of these songs on RUclips. Absolutely wild to randomly see someone in the comments who helped with part of the arrangement! Kudos!

Many years ago I watched this video and realized that people do in fact love video game music as much as I do...and I found a whole new world of people who remix game music since then. I've also been playing guitar for 5 years now and I would never have if it wasn't for game music and knowing that others feel just as passionate as I do about it!

You and me both. I'm more of a Sonic the Hedgehog VGM fan (own a Genesis, sue me) but I would absolutely LOVE a chance to do something like this, either on drums, or bass guitar, or even a clarinet.

I am sitting here at 3am on a Sat. night and when 1:46 dropped I almost cried out. I am overwhelmed by this. Only the experience of video games can produce an emotion like this. Freaking BRAVO.
After listening to a handful of the other orchestral renditions on youtube, I have to say, this concert is hands down the most faithful and best sounding rendition. There's one on here with a guitar forced into the medley and it really, REALLY sounds out of place. Other ones have some sort of weird pacing and strange instrument choices.
agreed. This orchestra does the best job blending and staying true to the original music. While watching several other orchestras on here I couldnt help but think that if I were to hear their renditions in person that I would just end up being disappointed.
Yeah, the Synphinic fantasies version was awesome too but it went on for waaaaay too long.

.....The memories just came back to me with this music. Well done guys. Chrono Trigger was my favorite game of all time. This orchestra nailed it for me. I played the game over a hundred times and this group was oustanding in playing it pretty damn close if not almost identical. 👏👏👏

One of THE best RPGs out there...CHRONO TRIGGER! Many will say Final Fantasy because of the commercial success of it, but back in the SNES days, the storyline, multiple endings and death of a main character was really emotional! Love this vid!!

This is amazing. Chrono Trigger has the best soundtrack I've ever heard in an RPG, and this orchestra version was a tear jerker.
I find it amazing how 3:04 isn't marred by the video quality at all.
Mitsuda's melodies really are the best in gaming.
All these years later, still gets me choked up with emotion. I actually met Yasunori Mitsuda in Paris once, along with Nobuo Uematsu and Yoko Shimomura. I was there to see a live orchestral concert of theirs (each one conducting some of their most famous pieces). I was so damn starstruck I didn't even manage to tell him that Chrono Trigger is, in my 43 years of life so far, the OST that has touched me the most. I can't really think of too many other soundtracks that hit me in the feels just like this one.
I started watching this video in 2010 and here I am. I always return here. I just love Chrono Trigger/Cross.

I've been going around the related videos to watch the drums guy play. Man he's a frigging beast and so is the rest of this orchestra. This is some real beautiful music, unlike what we have nowadays in the mainstream where they just synthesize some crap in a computer program and put a catchy dance with it.

this concert premiered on May 27, 2006 at the Rosemont Theater in Rosemont, Illinois (wikipedia). An album was released in 2009 that was recorded in Prague, however 2009 rendition of CT medley was cut out ending with time's scar thus you do no have frog's theme and to farway times.

Jimmy Lim there wasn't a release of this in the market. to date, no one knows if there ever was a DVD release of this concert.

Put a smile on my face hearing this :) I remember this game from when I was 3.. when it came out.. it was my favorite, and it made me want to learn to read so I could understand what the storyline was. So not only did it keep me entertained for hours, but helped learning to read so much easier. Thank you Chrono Trigger!
I remember playing this back in middle school. I've been playing video games since the old NES through the current PS3/360/Wii generation and Chrono Trigger is my favorite game of all time. I still play it on the PS3 though it is the PS version.

That is and advantage that Chrono Trigger has. As you advance in the game you go knowing every character story as they join your party. And as you progress trough the game, you know more and more about them, so for that reason you have a so deep emotional connection with them, and in the end you love them.

It has been 4 years now since this video was uploaded in 2007 and there are still people watching and giving comment on this masterpiece every day. I believe there are lots of people like me watching this over and over again. Its awesomeness just never get old.
CT is truly the legendary EPIC best RPG of all time.
I was at this concert 12 years ago. Mitsuda was not in attendance, but I met Uematsu, who signed a copy of my Final Fantasy VI cartridge.
Time flies. If only we could traverse it like Crono.

Chrono Trigger means a lot to me. It inspired me a young boy. It made me want adventure in my life and it made me appreciate cathartic music at a young age. To this day, when I hear this music it takes me back. I don't even care for video games at all these days, but I would play Chrono Trigger again in a heart beat. Why don't I? I still have my original cartridge :) (my save is maxed out too - lvl 99, and I'm fully stocked with MegaElixers and the like) Yeah, maybe I'll jump in the time machine
boy its been 15 years and counting and im still no able to find a better performance than this one, i hope someday PLAY! can release a better audio quality version.

Hey im only15 and I've been playing CT and CC science age 7 and I can tell you as a youth the music in these games were the best by far FOR ALL ETERNITY!!
i grew up playing this game...maybe now i know why i wanted to major in music for college wasn't sure why for a while but watching this and listening to music from my old favorite games this one stands out may have been an Unconcious Inspiration lol

This is incredible, an epic songs that marked my childhood and still shake my feelings and memories of a part of my life now, but that will never be forgotten or erased. When I hear these songs, all these good feelings with him and bring back the nostalgia of a very happy time in my life. Chrono Cross is part of my life.
