I’m Filipino living in the US. I see Latin American cultural dress called Guayabera. Very similar to ours. What I love about the Barong are the intricate embroidery by hand. Total handmade craftsmanship. Sure a machine can replicate the embellishments, personally I would choose the handmade versions any day. I have visited their website, beautiful Barongs. I prefer the traditional versions. I plan on moving to Florida with similar climate such as the Philippines. I will look for a cotton or Linen fabrics, much cooler in hot weather.
