I think that catwalk makes a game interesting. This dome is so unique in MLB.
rast nin exactly. I think people just love to hate tropicana field and most havent even been here. They do need a new stadium closer to or actually in Tampa and not st pete. But people love to jump on the bandwagon hate that the espn loves to promote at least once or twice a year in a major way.
That was the first mlb stadium I’ve ever been to back in 97’ at 11 years old. I got to see the Devil Rays take on the Braves, and when I walked into that stadium it took my breath away. I had never been inside a structure so big and bright before. I’ll always have a special place in my heart for the Trop.

Google worst MLB stadiums and your poverty franchise’s stadium is #1 on every list. It’s garbage just like the owner.
I guess people want no quirkiness or individualism to ballparks anymore. Lets just have 8 foot evenly spaced walls with uniform lengths in every stadium. I get it people hate tropicana, but ive always loved the stadium even back when it really was cavernous. At least they threw millions into renovations so it feels like a ballpark now, we have catwalks (that have ground rules by the way and normally doesnt effect the outcomes of games) and fenway has the green monster. Every stadium is unique and different. Get over the trop's differences. Get off the rays hate bandwaggon that espn loves to push on people

@@skycorrigan6511 Yeah, that place gets hit with stray bullets all the time. One time a guy was in the stands watching a game and a bullet grazed his leg.

I don't like how they handled it, though. It's very distracting - unlike the traditional black bars, which I feel are a much better alternative.
Still I prefer that kind of reasoning over someone messing with Adobe Premiere for the first time and thinking the effect looks rad, which was my first assumption when I saw the video. Oops!

Detroit and NY used to have overhangs in fair territory. Why would catwalks be any different?
