Why I’m not a fan of the Apple Vision Pro

- Hi all. This is a different video from what I usually create. This is just a video of my genuine thoughts, unscripted, about Apple's new Vision Pro product. While I'm definitely intrigued by the product and do plan to check it out once it's released, I am genuinely worried about the impact it can have on humanity as a whole if people choose to immerse themselves in AR/VR the way Apple is presenting.
I go into detail about my thoughts, and what I think Apple's marketing is hinting at, while also pointing out the positives of the product.
If you're new, welcome! I hope you join in on the discussion in the comments below. Keep in mind, I'm not trying to bash Apple or the Vision Pro in any way. This is simply my gut reaction to the product a few days removed from WWDC. I hope we can have a productive conversation about why you agree or disagree with my take in this video.

Totally agree. It's as creepy as Google Glasses. Putting headphones on is one thing, but cutting yourself off from everything for long periods is too isolating.

I was very excited at first and didn‘t think of it this way. You are totally right. No one needs this. Let‘s hope it stays a luxury product.

everyone is already in there own world, now they just gonna be more comfortable in it. very scary future when this product becomes more accessible to the masses
The perfect time to introduce Apple Vision Pro should be during the COVID lock down. But that's okay, there will be another pandemic. And I think the best movie that illustrates the future society (if we go down the path of Apple Vision Pro) is Surrogates (2009).
Totally agree, we just keep pushing tech without considering the consequences. Phones/media already creating zombies, this is just another enabling piece of kit for media/advertising to abuse. I could've live without my phone at times and remind myself to live the moment, but too far is too far. Saying that, it would be a good tool for short term tasks, certainly not for day to day integration as Apple advertises, that's revenue talking.
