So singing is like speaking to her. Damn, it's truly sad how hard life was on her from the very beginning and I'm glad that now she's in a much better situation. Maybe due to past harships, when she sings she seems to have a very old soul. With her unique voice, the way she sings and how she immerses herself into the song, she transports you into another world. I hope she has a great career and first and foremost a great life. Her voice would fit so nicely in folk, neo-folk or even folk-metal music, also rock operas. Just imagine her working with Dimash, Wardruna, Heilung... I'm sure there would be a lot of people eager to hear her perform more songs like Rechenka.
Her story is even sadder than that, she is the only survivor out of 7 siblings, the rest died during birth, by neglect or (suspected) outright murder by her mother, shortly before her 4 years birth day, her mother broke her right collar bone and arm and threw her out into A Siberian Winter in February, some relatives of her Mom caught her before she died and took her in. As for the song, it is a wedding song (of the Russian kind) and tells the story about a young girl who goes into to the forest and down to the river to talk with her dead mother (Rivers are connected with the dead in Russian folklore) and ask her if she should marry a young boy she has met and fallen in love with.
Hello darlings just want to thank you for your reactions to Diana Ankudinova I've been watching reactions to her for the past 3 days sad thing is seems I found these reactions about 5 months to late I did find a bunch of her stuff including an audition for the Russian version of the voice where she appears to be 10 or 12 years old sadly none of them turned although they gave her great reviews before she left the stage she sang a yodel song and I can tell you she spoke like a normal child then and also normally in later interview I have found so she speaks normal and sings like an angel also there are still things coming out with Diana sadly all still in Russia she was truly a gifted artist in 2018 and 2019 and still has the same tone in the other songs i have viewed where I live in Canada the only place i can find Diana Ankudinova is on RUclips so again I thank you for the gift of her beautiful voice she has won many awards appears to be all in Russia

She now 16,but while the show she was 14-15.....you watched Rechenka it's an old Russian folk song about young orphan girl who calls out her dead mother soul from the river before marriage,to ask her permission.... smthing like that. This show is for kids with hard life experience, Diana was almost killed by her own native mother who did 6 abortion, but somehow failed with Diana, but than poore little girl was beaten, wasn't fed regularly, she put off cigarettes by her body, and almost drowned her in the bathtub- special!! and than she was thrown on the street on February,in cold Russian winter with broken arm while she was 3 years old! So she ended up in kids house and after a while was taken by massagist( she worked there) who you saw in video,who already had her own 2 children( raising by herself), but she fell in love with this little, always smiling and happy girl, although she had such tragic life! At the age of 5 she was still traumatized and unable to speak properly. Thank you for your reaction to Diana Ankudinova. Diana actually turned 16 on 31st May 2019, but was indeed 14 at the time of this performance. The show she is on here is Ты супер! (translated as "You are Super") and it is for children who have found themselves without parental care at some point in life. According to the programme, Diana was abused by her biological mother until around the age of 3 years, and ended up in an orphanage. While there, a massage nurse named Irina Ponik took care of her, and a strong bond was formed, to the extent that a year afterward Diana was adopted by Irina, and Irina has been her "Mom" ever since. (That is indeed Irina who you referred to in the video). It seems that for the first year or so Diana would hardly speak, and singing lessons were recommended, and the rest is history. Diana is now with a loving family, and her music training goes from strength to strength. Since winning the show, she has received much support from Igor Krutoy, the bald guy on the judges panel, and who is one of Russia's foremost composers and song writers. You may have seen him play piano for Dimash in recent months. Diana has even been likened to Dimash, in the sense of her beautiful voice control, the quality of her singing and her unusually low range, by contrast of course to Dimash's unusually high range. *She is just 16 now! (That's NOT her mom...read) From what I know on her story* ....what hard fate this girl had. She did not know her father, the mother was a complete alcoholic and constantly gave birth to many siblings, 8 of which were aborted. Her mother did not feed her, constantly hitting and even tried to drown her in the bathtub but in the end she threw her away in the night like a kitten on the street with a broken collarbone. 3 year old Diana was picked up on the street by her own relatives, but since she did not talk at all, they thought that she was mentally retarded and gave her to an orphanage. From the orphanage, she was taken by her foster mother and in 5 years gave her to vocal courses to develop her speech. It is through the efforts of the foster mother that we see this unique treasure
As an uneducated american I have learned this is an old Russian Slovic Ballad called the River. It was traditionaly sung by brides at the wedding feast. The bride would sing then the village would sing a verse back. There were something like 30 or more verses available and the story of the song and its ending changed by which verses were exchanged. The story was about a young girl being married off to an older man in an arranged wedding. She had lost a mother or grandmother to the river and was contemplating whether to join her mother in the river or go through with the marriage. She communicated with the spirits of her lost loved ones to decide. Having learned all that..... This will still be Diana's "Hot Potato" song to me.😊

So singing is like speaking to her. Damn, it's truly sad how hard life was on her from the very beginning and I'm glad that now she's in a much better situation. Maybe due to past harships, when she sings she seems to have a very old soul. With her unique voice, the way she sings and how she immerses herself into the song, she transports you into another world. I hope she has a great career and first and foremost a great life. Her voice would fit so nicely in folk, neo-folk or even folk-metal music, also rock operas. Just imagine her working with Dimash, Wardruna, Heilung... I'm sure there would be a lot of people eager to hear her perform more songs like Rechenka.
Her story is even sadder than that, she is the only survivor out of 7 siblings, the rest died during birth, by neglect or (suspected) outright murder by her mother, shortly before her 4 years birth day, her mother broke her right collar bone and arm and threw her out into A Siberian Winter in February, some relatives of her Mom caught her before she died and took her in.
As for the song, it is a wedding song (of the Russian kind) and tells the story about a young girl who goes into to the forest and down to the river to talk with her dead mother (Rivers are connected with the dead in Russian folklore) and ask her if she should marry a young boy she has met and fallen in love with.

Hello darlings just want to thank you for your reactions to Diana Ankudinova I've been watching reactions to her for the past 3 days sad thing is seems I found these reactions about 5 months to late I did find a bunch of her stuff including an audition for the Russian version of the voice where she appears to be 10 or 12 years old sadly none of them turned although they gave her great reviews before she left the stage she sang a yodel song and I can tell you she spoke like a normal child then and also normally in later interview I have found so she speaks normal and sings like an angel also there are still things coming out with Diana sadly all still in Russia she was truly a gifted artist in 2018 and 2019 and still has the same tone in the other songs i have viewed where I live in Canada the only place i can find Diana Ankudinova is on RUclips so again I thank you for the gift of her beautiful voice she has won many awards appears to be all in Russia

She now 16,but while the show she was 14-15.....you watched Rechenka it's an old Russian folk song about young orphan girl who calls out her dead mother soul from the river before marriage,to ask her permission.... smthing like that. This show is for kids with hard life experience, Diana was almost killed by her own native mother who did 6 abortion, but somehow failed with Diana, but than poore little girl was beaten, wasn't fed regularly, she put off cigarettes by her body, and almost drowned her in the bathtub- special!! and than she was thrown on the street on February,in cold Russian winter with broken arm while she was 3 years old! So she ended up in kids house and after a while was taken by massagist( she worked there) who you saw in video,who already had her own 2 children( raising by herself), but she fell in love with this little, always smiling and happy girl, although she had such tragic life! But Diana almost wasn't speaking, didn't knew many words, cause she was raised amongst alcoholic friends of her native mother like a Maugli by animals in the woods.., so some doc decided that it would be better if her new mom will take her to singing lessons so she would start speaking better, and boy that was a bulleye shot! Cause this girl was kissed by Gods like Dimash!!! As you said she just love to perform, she was born to be a star, and I think all that happened in her life it's a Destiny to become great! Now in this show she was in 2 seasons and you can react in cronologicaly order to her songs( you watched her 2nd performance) ,so show" Ты Супер" 1- Derniere Danse 2- It's a man's world 3 Tomorrow is a lie 4- Вьюга or Snowstorm 5- Wicked Games 6- Human , by every performance she was getting better and better! Last 2 it's just blows your mind!!! By the way you didn't notice ,there was Igor Krutoy in jury, so now he is mentoring her, he presented her an expensive appsrtment in Moscow so she with her family will be near him and far away from her native mother,who saw her on TV, after Diana caught immediate glory ,from 1st song, and this alcoholic mother suddenly remembered that she has a daughter and wanted her back,and after Diana's refusal,and her words that she has only one mom- who raised her, this b*tch started to threaten her and her mother, so Krutoy decided to move her in Moscow so she can continue safely studying singing and record her 1st songs and album,cause she won both seasons and was awarded with such prizes!! far northern Winter she was abandoned, injured, at a bus stop
where she was rescued and sent to an orphanage. At the age of 5
she was still traumatized and unable to speak properly. A massage
therapist who visited the orphanage trying to help kids, was the
first to recognize something special in this little girl, and
eventually adopted her. Diana was sent for singing lessons because
it was thought that this might help her learn to speak without
impediment.
Only two years later she started singing in local theater, and in

Thank you for your reaction to Diana Ankudinova. Diana actually turned 16 on 31st May 2019, but was indeed 14 at the time of this performance. The show she is on here is Ты супер! (translated as "You are Super") and it is for children who have found themselves without parental care at some point in life. According to the programme, Diana was abused by her biological mother until around the age of 3 years, and ended up in an orphanage. While there, a massage nurse named Irina Ponik took care of her, and a strong bond was formed, to the extent that a year afterward Diana was adopted by Irina, and Irina has been her "Mom" ever since. (That is indeed Irina who you referred to in the video). It seems that for the first year or so Diana would hardly speak, and singing lessons were recommended, and the rest is history. Diana is now with a loving family, and her music training goes from strength to strength. Since winning the show, she has received much support from Igor Krutoy, the bald guy on the judges panel, and who is one of Russia's foremost composers and song writers. You may have seen him play piano for Dimash in recent months. Diana has even been likened to Dimash, in the sense of her beautiful voice control, the quality of her singing and her unusually low range, by contrast of course to Dimash's unusually high range. Either way, Diana is a unique talent.

*She is just 16 now! (That's NOT her mom...read) From what I know on her story* ....what hard fate this girl had. She did not know her father, the mother was a complete alcoholic and constantly gave birth to many siblings, 8 of which were aborted. Her mother did not feed her, constantly hitting and even tried to drown her in the bathtub but in the end she threw her away in the night like a kitten on the street with a broken collarbone. 3 year old Diana was picked up on the street by her own relatives, but since she did not talk at all, they thought that she was mentally retarded and gave her to an orphanage. From the orphanage, she was taken by her foster mother and in 5 years gave her to vocal courses to develop her speech. It is through the efforts of the foster mother that we see this unique treasure

As an uneducated american I have learned this is an old Russian Slovic Ballad called the River. It was traditionaly sung by brides at the wedding feast. The bride would sing then the village would sing a verse back. There were something like 30 or more verses available and the story of the song and its ending changed by which verses were exchanged. The story was about a young girl being married off to an older man in an arranged wedding. She had lost a mother or grandmother to the river and was contemplating whether to join her mother in the river or go through with the marriage. She communicated with the spirits of her lost loved ones to decide.

-Diana was 14 when she first entered this competition, 15 when she sang this song, and turned 16 somewhere this year.
-That woman is indeed her mother. She adopted Diana at a very young age after Diana's biological mother had mistreated her. In order to help Diana with learning to speak, which she had problems with, she took her to a singing class, which is where her vocal talents were discovered!
-This competition ('You're Super') is a singing competition specifically for children with troubled childhoods. Diana won the finals of the first season she took part in, and the next year, when the competition held a 'Super Season' where finalists from previous years could re-enter if they wanted to, she won again!
