I think, due to her lower range and the tone quality of her voice, no pop producer knows what to do with her. She released a lovely pop tune called in English "Into the Skies" along with a beautiful music video. I think Diana is a different kind of star. She is above pop stars. She is a rare talent whose performances touch deeply. She is so much more than just entertainment.

So nice to see a native Russian speaker react to this great number in English. I have watched Russian RUclipsrs react to this number, but in Russian (which is sadly a Language I can’t speak) and I can not understand a thing they say. I think I speak for most of Diana’s Fans when I say, she should be a world star.
By the way, Igor Krutoy is the richest producer in the world with a net worth of over 16 Billion dollars. I think (or at least hope) he is letting her finish her studies and then would help her with a career.

What kind of career can an 18-year-old girl have? She is still studying. She writes songs by Brandon Stone. With his song "Tajikistan" she represented Russia at the official celebration of the 30th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Now Diana participates in the new project of NTV "Showmaskgoon" and, judging by the announcement videos, she performs there brilliantly.
The project "You are super!" does not abandon a single semi-finalist and winner, all of them are paid scholarships from the TV channel.
At 13! She entered her first kids contest in Russia where she sang a song that required masterful yodeling.
It was a masterpiece, a tour de force, some say one of the best yodeling performances on any talent show but in this performance it was the controversial aftermath that prompted the audience to give her a 5 minute Standing Ovation and caused a scandal and shouts of Diana being “ robbed”.

As far as her career, I am PRETTY SURE that Diana wanted to finish school first (but maybe her adopted mom just forbade her from doing anything until she finished school, I don't REALLY know, there is so much conjecture). If Diana herself wanted to finish school, then I HAVE to applaud her for the very adult decision, it shows HUGE insight. We know she is intelligent but thinking that far ahead is amazing.

Thank you for your insightful reaction. I would love to hear your reaction to two songs that Diana sang. The first one is a song called SOLDIER YOU SURVIVED. She sang in honor of the veterans from The Great Patriotic War. The second song is called BY/WITH YOUR VOICE. She sang this song with Brandon Stone. Mr. Stone has written several songs for Diana. Diana has just started her 2nd year at University (G.I.T.I.S.) in Moscow. She is also working to improve her English language skills. She did just sing in from of a very large stadium in Tajikistan to celebrate the 30th anniversary of that Country. I had heard she was planning on coming to the West after she graduates from University. That idea makes sense to me. With more musical credentials and time to improve her English. She will be a huge star here in the West. At age 22 or so. Please stay safe.

She is about 14 yo here. Krutoy has definitely helped her career. You will find him with her on piano very often.
I agree with you that she is not huge all over the world as she should be and i also do not know if the Russian showbusiness has to be blamed for that, but from my understanding she chose to finish school first before trying to really get in the whole showbusiness stuff, also covid was and still is an issue the recent years.
Now that she turned 18 though you can see that she is doing things, she was called to sing for the 30 year independence anniversary of Tajikistan and also will be on a new show that will start in a few days.
I like your reactions to her because except being a singer yourself, you are also a Russian and you can provide a unique perspective on the subject.

There is a problem of the "establishment" in the entertainment business in Russia - turn on any show and you get the same old talent-less people all the time and many of them can't sing but are "IN" - it really is a mess and there is little room for new talent, especially someone who does not produce the same garbage as they do.

@@mike6174 Yes it's true. I really hope that the situation will change. This year, the composition of the "New Wave" has changed a lot. It was really the absolute diversity of all generations of stars, including absolutely fresh faces. And this is not only Dimash, who, of course, was the main decoration of the festival. In his interview, Igor Krutoy said that when forming a concert program, he also has to take into account those artists whom he cannot refuse for one reason or another. And although the names were not named, this is a rather bold frankness of Igor Krutoy.

There was also a party rep present. I was, of course, very diplomatic in my comments. The Cosmonaut was not. He said exactly what he felt about every subject, and the party guy kept getting redder and redder. But he couldn't do anything. The Cosmonaut was a Hero of the Soviet Union :).

The best there is, she won the grand prize on "You are Super" twice..She was only 14 when she did this show.. As for her childhood her mother beat her and starved her and tried to drown her She finally was abandoned on the streets at age 3..Then was taken to an Orphanage and adopted the rest is history..

Unfortunately, the music business is not a fair one. It seems that it's a worldwide phenomenon (by some degree higher or lower). There are many really talented ones all around the world, but neglected by this unfair business.
I see the absence of noble and original styles, like blues and jazz, even in well-known music awards.
We have alien Prince Dimash in Kazakhstan, dearest Princess D in Russia, heavenly Morissette Amon in Philippines, majestic Angelina Jordan in Norway, great Homayun Shajarian in Iran and many great great artists all around the world, but if you add all their followers in YT, it's still much lower than an ordinary pop music singer who is over showed up by the music business.
This is why I chose YT. Because here's the place where I can find real pure talent and great artists.

да, интересно услышать реакцию русского человека, погруженного в штатовскую жизнь. я бы еще обратил внимание на то, что йодль не является частью русского фольклора, ну т.е. никаким образом, а тем не менее... очень смелое и главное уместное решение Дианы и тех людей, которые помогали ей на этом конкурсе. еще я бы смягчил вашу оценку того, как складывалась профессиональная карьера Дианы. По-моему, все отлично складывается, всем бы талантам в мире быть вовремя замеченными и получить поддержку от таких состоявшихся и действительно замечательных людей как Крутой, Дробыш, Лазарев, Арбенинина, Моргулис и многие, многие другие. Диана широко популярна в России уже минимум 2 года. Также она принята в узком круге культурной элиты, участвует в квартирниках, регулярно бывает в бардовском кафе "Гнездо глухаря", некоторых других не очень людных, но значимых местах. В Москву (да, в подаренную квартиру) она переехала с мамой именно для продолжения учебы (в ГИТИСе), причем предложений было несколько (хотя институт им.Гнесиных в итоге отказался, подозреваю, просто потому, что у них нет подходящего педагога по вокалу для драматического контральто). Для Дианы пишут несколько человек, больше всего песен специально для нее написано Брендоном Стоуном. Отгадайте, кто их познакомил. И круг желающих работать вместе с ней все растет. На подходе ее первый диск, этот проект полностью самостоятельный (на краудфандинговые средства, с большой переподпиской), не связанный ни с какими обязывающими контрактами. Замечен интерес к Диане на самом верху правительства (думаю, песня Далиды на арабском появилась в ее репертуаре не случайно, да, и "Таджикистан" на этот интерес указывает). Через несколько дней начнется ТВ-шоу с масками "ШоуМаскГоуон", на котором Диане выступит с несколькими новыми песнями. Не пропустите! И все это при том, что Диане лишь 18 и у нее еще есть интерес и к сочинительству, и к режиссуре. Хватило бы на все сил !!! Главное, мне нравится, что она не полагается на долгосрочные контракты со всякими продюсерами и звукозаписывающими студиями. Такая практика для молодых творческих людей не обязательно/всегда ведет к хорошим результатам. Ну, западный шоубиз вы лучше меня знаете. А к российскому у меня особых симпатий нет, это вотчина нескольких человек, от отсутствия общения с которыми Диана ничего не потеряет.

Diana participated in 2 seasons of this show - in 2018 and in super season with the finalists of the previous two seasons. Altogether 7 songs. Best.)
I found this amazing singer yesterday, and fell down a rabbit hole. From what I can make out she has not long finished her exams and wants to go to university, she has also crowd funded an album, she does have a vocal coach.
And Igor Krutoy is behind Dimash, who also, I believe, does not have a music label, and Dimash is becoming huge.
I get the feeling that she has been advised to do what a lot of new artists are doing, and that is staying away from the music industry and doing it themselves. The internet has opened up the world to great artists that would have never seen the light of day otherwise. It allows them to do what they want, and express themselves the way they want and not what someone in an office who is chasing the money wants. As you said, the music industy can rip you appart and try and make you somthing you are not. For me now music labels are only really going to be for the big artists that have the power to tell a label what they want, the likes of Metallica or Elton John.

A recent video of Diana's, in my sight, is a total masterpiece the like of which I don't remember ever seeing before in my long life. It's a must see for anyone that loves singing with unending emotion. The background of the song is essential to know. The title of the song is "Fastidious (or Finicky) Horses". The song has nothing to do with horses in reality - the horses are being used as a metaphor for life. The author of song is begging the horses to slow down (he is aware he is approaching death), but, at the same time he is whipping them along (his chaotic lifestyle) - he knows that his lifestyle is taking him to an early death, however, he is unable to change it.....the composer of the song, Vladimir Vysotsky, was an alcoholic & drug addict and died in 1980 at the age of 42. ruclips.net/video/lu8iW9BcWmY/видео.html

Диана полностью ее преобразила, как она преображает все, что поет. И то, что получается в итоге, на мой взгляд, выходит за рамки жанра поп-музыки и становится чем-то большим. Как и в случае с "Реченькой", здесь также не просто исполнение песни - а вокальное представление, пусть и со скромным антуражем на сцене.
Также понравилось ваше замечание о произношении слов в "Реченьке" - в стиле "старой русской школы". Я не обращал на это внимания, а теперь послушал внимательнее. Вообще, у Дианы отличная артикуляция, она не смазывает окончания слов, как некоторые певцы, и все слышно очень отчетливо. Она прошла хорошую школу музыкальных спектаклей с детских лет, где требовалось не только хорошо петь, но и выразительно говорить. Спасибо, с нетерпением ждем продолжения вашего знакомства с Дианой.
P.S. Уже записано несколько новых каверов на новом телевизионном шоу (первая песня - Элвиса Пресли: "Can't Help Falling in Love "). Там тоже будут своего рода представления на очень хорошем уровне по видео и звуку. Всего - 9 вещей до конца осени. Так что хорошие продюсеры ( это телекомпания НТВ, финансируется "Газпромом") все-таки с ней работают, пусть и не постоянно.

There is no singer or performer that compares with her. I know of none that even comes close. Even at age 10, she already had that amazing voice, timbre, and vocal control. See her at age 10 covering The Beatles "Oh! Darling".

Но увы опять после блокировки просмотры теряются, я вам посоветовал ставить загруженные реакции с этого шоу на трансляцию (broadcast) с отложенным таймером. Это даёт двойной эффект. Подписчики узнают о реакции заранее, а за время до реакции, можно подать аппеляцию и получить разблокировку и на момент выхода видео в онлайн, люди снова получат уведомление о выходе видео, и будут видеть его через поиск.
Конечно можно и сейчас найти это видео в поиске, но за два дня может появится 50 и более видео с Дианой - реакции, видео с ТикТока, видео со Сториса, работы фанов.
И те кто каждый день проверяют новые видео не будут отматывать ленту поиска слишком глубоко.

Маленькая поправка - в ШОУМАСКГООН участвует 8 взрослых ПЕВЦОВ, артистов в возрасте до 40-50 лет. ДИАНА самая младшая, ей всего 18 лет.
В нашем шоу-бизнесе преобладает не голос, а деньги. За все надо платить(и не мало), даже за выступления на каких-то концертах или праздничных шоу, а у нее их нет. Сейчас она много ездит по городам с концертами, хотя и учится в ГИТИСе. Диана -молодец, добивается всего сама! В декабре 2021 года у неё вышел альбом и песни там замечательные. Ей помогал Брендон Стоун(музыкант, композитор,певец). Найдите и послушайте их совместную песню "Side by side". Я была на концерте Дианы и с этой песни (Реченька")"она начала концерт в полной темноте, голос звучал как иерихонская труба. Ощущения - не передать! Я искала эту песню, узнать и наткнулась на исполнение этой песни Аллой Пугачёвой и Диана, конечно-же лучше! Спасибо за реакцию и продолжайте дальше!

Diana came to a poor but loving family when she was 5 years old.
Diana spoke badly, cried a lot and was still very scared but she all sing songs from cartoons. And so, the singing teacher Elena Kazantseva discovered Diana's talent. And all started ...
During 2008 to 2012 Diana sang around 40 songs, including at competitions.
Her mother, Irina Ponik, turned her whole life inside out and started all over with a new motherhood and many new professions - seamstress, manager, vblogger… admirable. Everything that has to do with Diana's singing training, performances, competitions, looking for sponsors is organized and coordinated by her mother Irina Ponik. She took extra sewing courses too. Since then, she's been sewing all of Diana's stage costumes, because all of these things consume the family budget. She accompanies her daughter on trips and captures her life in photos and videos with the persistence of a visionary. It is admirable how she promotes her daughter's career, teaching her how to fly but makes sure that she is down to earth Remains.
Diana impressed with her talent in over 50 national and international competitions. Her confidence grew, her voice continued to develop ... until one day she was asked to compete in more distant competitions so that other children could have a chance to win.
So, 2012 Irina’s family moved to her hometown of Toglyatti, much closer to Moscow. Diana lost her fear that the woman who gave birth to her would kidnap her.
In 2017 Diana went to Moscow, at the Russian 'The Voice Kids'. Diana entered another competition in 2018 and 2019 and won twice. This project is unique in the world, an international TV- competition: 'You are Super', especially for adopted and orphaned children.
2018 (3rd season) Diana sang 'Derniere danse' (French), 'It's a Man's Man's Man's World' (Engl.), 'The River' (Russ.), 'Tomorrow Is A Lie' (Engl.) and 2019 (super season) Diana won the Grand Prix with 'Blizzard' (Russ.), 'Wicked Game' (Engl.) and 'Human' (Engl.).
The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote and the final took place in the Kremlin Palace and her videos were uploaded to RUclips and soon she had millions of fans.
The project producers help the finalists start studying and encourage their creativity. Diana won a scholarship to the College of Music. Igor Krutoy, here as a juror, gave her a small apartment in Moscow. So, she could start her vocal training with the best teachers such as Professor Olga Donskoy (She died of Covid-19 in Oct. 2020).
The break of voice made Diana’s voice even darker and deeper. She has mastered this time very professionally and has worked hard to bring back the lost high notes and has expanded her vocal range, currently from C3 to D6. Her genres are folk-rock, folk-pop, jazz, soul, blues, soldier songs and Diana-stile… tradition meets modernity.
She loves to sing in French, but also sings in English, German, Arabic and Spanish... but only phonetically.
But she is not only a great singer and storyteller, but also a humble, intelligent and hardworking young woman. She also gives charity concerts. She loves her family and her fans. They are 'friends' to her and they are very supportive of her. Diana is grateful that they helped improve her home studio and also supported her future plans. Her Russian Friends have chosen Diana as "National Treasure" (no official title).
2020 Diana graduated from high school a year earlier with honor, as an external student and now, she is a student at the legendary Russian State Institute of Theater and Variety Arts (Juilliard similar to GITIS). She is already composing songs and we will definitely hear her own song soon.
She will only take part in major competitions if invited. Such competitions require a lot of time, effort and strength. As a result, participants often have large educational gaps and problems later on. Diana is a smart young woman. She focuses on her studies, her voice and expanding her repertoire.
