Happened to me but it was a month after, Had the cylinder sleeve twist (RM125), found out the machine shop did a slip fit for the sleeve and not a press fit, i ended up taking the bike in and paid for a new cylinder, had him pay for the other parts and put it back together for him. ~ 5 months later i am still getting photos of the adventures he's having on it. cost me ~$400 from profit but i wanted to make sure it was right, sold the cylinder without sleeve on ebay and got a few $ back.

Long ago I sold a '75 Kawasaki 175 enduro. I told the guy it runs great, it always did when I had it, but it's seen lots of hard use and almost zero maintenance, and it might not last 15 minutes if you really get on it. He came back about a week later and said it lasted 20 minutes before the induction disk broke, and he wondered if I had any parts for it around. (I didn't)

M6 bolt on aluminum threads, iirc 6.5Nm, just a little shy of 5lbft.
For anyone with no built-in torque wrench wrist, even a cheap torque wrench saves a lot of money. Specially young kids who are growing up and double their strength every year tend to ruin their mopeds by being too heavy handed.

With dirtbikes, I feel its 'buyer beware'. You can buy a bike in good faith and find a heap of things wrong, conversely, you can sell a perfectly running bike and it can break down a few hours later. I maintain the attitude that if you are buying 'used' then you are buying a pile of parts and it is impossible to measure and account for how much trouble-free riding you will get to your first major issue.

I just picked up a dr650 rode good on the first ride but in 4th and 5th I felt the clutch slip, it was a from a friend purchase, and let him take it out and he was saying it didn't do it for him, kinda up in the air about that at the moment. Goes to show even a friend can steer you wrong, he's going to help me put a new clutch in when I get one but the initial impression was slightly off. He's a friend that's more of a you can do it, but is willing to help.
