Thank you once again Callum. There are some cracking club layouts that have inspired me to make a few detail improvement. Metcalfe stuff is a great way into budget model railways but it has no en masse place in an exhibition layout (yes I have a few remodelled Metcalfe kits on my model railway with several dozens of buildings). I laughed out loud at the terrible track laying on some and then felt a warm glow knowing that my track is almost perfect and that took months of hard work to achieve.
Some really good, and some absolutely superb layouts. Loved the GWR setting, wobbly track and all! Loved the (N Gauge?) snow scene - superb. The American layout, with the extra personnel made a difference. Thanks for sharing. Al.
The important thing to remember is that these layout are portable so that raises the bar in terms of complexity. These railways are a joy to watch and someone is sharing their slice of heaven with us. Must be great for mental health to close the doors on a barmy world and work on your own idyllic microcosm.
Sidmouth? The "Country Resort by the Sea"??? I walked thru there while hiking the coast in 1979. I used to have a poster with that slogan on it. A lovely place! thank you for this!
I've been watching a lot of these types of videos recently, this one stood out (in a good way). Many of these layouts look spectacular, and some of that is down to your filming and editing.
Cheers Tim. Glad you enjoyed the video of the show. Really are some superb Modeller out there. Currently working on my annual compilation video, feature some of my favourite layout I've seen over the past year at various shows. All the best
My god your a genius, those structures u make are incredible, fantastic to see all the different ideas following, thank u ,apologies for not always keeping up to date or commenting more . Look forward to the next project
Really is stunning and always a pleasure to see at shows! Saw it again at the Exeter show the weekend just gone (running steam this time), a video featuring it at the event is in the works as we speak
Some very good layouts on show. The snow scene is beautiful. Your filming of the 08 shunting at 5.48 is most realistic. The underground and traverser layouts were quite unique and we'll done. Your filming is really good as you have managed to only get the railways in without the general public and show back ground activity.
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed the coverage. Really were some interesting layout in display. The wagon works layout really does show what can be achieved I O gauge in a small space. So much operational potential
I've seen that N gauge one with the winter scene and large viaduct. My favourite train on there was a class 37 dragging a HST. What a train 😊 is the Chard Junction layout based off the real Chard in Somerset?
Amazing, but just looking at that beautifully done weather had me thinking, one thing I've never seen is an attempt to make the scene seem alive, like trees shaking in the wind, a gust of wind moving across as the trees gently shake from one side of the set up to the other, like a wave moving across, granted you couldn't do that on this scale but on a table top scene would look good
Still plenty of "Ghost Trains", running around amazingly detailed layouts, with people everywhere except where they should be, i.e. in the train cabs. Got them on platforms, in traffic, but no passengers or train crew. Only done half the job again, disgruntled ex BR train driver.
Some very imaginative work on show here. Love the snow scenery.
Glad you enjoyed the coverage! Was a good local show
The snow scene is amazing. Outstanding video. Very enjoyable. Thanks for sharing. Dave
Moors View certainly does pull the snow effect off well! Got to be the best i've seen
Wonderful - an eye feast...
Excelent model railway video. Quality in every detail. Thanks.

Just what a small local show should be Callum, and beautifully presented by the excellent camera work.
Some really nice layouts on show. Cheers, Bob

He doesn't make the layouts in these videos, he records other people's work at exhibitions.
Nice😊
Good video, like!
Hiya - Oh I thought I'd recognized that Bridge from your 'Thumb Nail' - It was from the RM Mag back in Jan 2022!!! Very good 🙂🚂🚂🚂
Indeed! Really is a stunning layout
Looks like a great exhibition. Really liked Moors View. Don’t really see to many layouts set in snow. Looked really good 👍

@@SDJR7F88 I’ve seen it in Railway Modeller I think a while ago. So impressive and yet actually a very simple layout…….. scenics aside!!
Agreed! One of the layout where it really does look like the photos :)
Wow
Glad you enjoyed it
Really sorry that I couldn’t make it to this show, the layouts look very impressive. Great filming too 😊
Next time. Glad you enjoyed the coverage

Beautiful layouts. However some good buffer stops on 8:46 ;)

Indeed! Got that on film when I saw the layout at a previous show. Believe it is loosely based on it. Certainly a busy scene
interesting account of the event 🙂👍
Glad you enjoyed the coverage

Hi Andy. Now that's an interesting idea! I'm sure it could be done
Best layout was the first
Moor View is amazing. Is it n gauge or 00 ?
It's N Gauge :)

So where’s the footage of your layout, complete with passengers?
