- After styling clothes I hate for a week, I realized how many clothes I don't like are in my own closet. So, this week I changed my style and I styled clothes I never wear. In this style swap, I'm changing my look by choosing clothes I don't wear and trying to make cute outfits I feel confident in!
❤ OPEN ME!
I was feeling like it was time for a closet purge, time for a closet clean out, so when I found some clothing I never wear, I decided to give them a second chance before putting them in the donation box. In this fashion challenge, I'm wearing my own clothes that I never wear!

Hate when I like an outfit and my mom doesn’t 😂😭makes me over think the whole outfit
Same
I get suspicious when mom says I look really good. She will throw me to the wolves!! I insist on a picture as proof of what I look like. She’s my mom and she means well...she just wants to make me feel good about myself...but I need THE TRUTH!! Lol! 😐
Sooooo true
Same, I know my mum is great at fashion, she studied it, so I take her word for anything fashion related, so now I don’t like shopping without her 😂
Same but not mom but my sis she always makes me over think
Girl, that blue dress gave you BODY. I thought you looked amazing! Order up if it makes you feel more comfortable, but honestly, I think that dress is perfect for your figure.
It is
Yass she looks so good in the blue dress
Agreed!
She was stunning in it!
I totally agree! She could style it make it much more casual!
Hey can you do a I wear the same top for a whole week I would like to see different ways you could style one
Ingrid Lazo Thant’s a really good idea
I love this!
Great idea fam
This is a good one.
Ingrid Lazo that’s like a AWESOME IDEA 👏👏👏
Out of all the things I’ve ever seen you wear, that blue dress is the most flattering
Noone I know or myself can style clothes the way you do and you look so adorable in all of these clothes. I need you in my life !!!

The first outfit is so “sight seeing in Paris” 😍📷🥐
Ashley K scarp
Going to Europe this summer with school and bought an outfit very similar to this for Paris lol
My thoughts exactly and I’m French! ;)
I love the boxy coat! To me the leather jacket was more "mom trying to be edgy". The longer jacket was chic!
Yeah personally I think it brought a lot more sophistication where her style is usually more vsco and lighthearted.
I’m 14 and in the 9 grade. I have been watching you for a year and my confidence journey has progressed soooo much because of you❤️
It’s so good to hear you are feeling more confident. The secret is that you are the creator of your own life and watching people who inspire you is a great way to help you figure out what you want to create. If you can learn this and put it into practice at 14, you’ll be way ahead of the crowd.
See now, McKenzie, _this_ is the kind of comment I love reading - yes, even on someone else's channel! Lol! :) It's encouraging, uplifting, totally positive - telling Sierra this probably made her entire month, not just her day!!! *Good for you, girl!!!* You be you 'cause you are beautiful! :) Blessings, Shannon A.
Wow, her life has changed so much in the last two years. Imagine if current Sierra could come tell this sierra about her new house, and her curly hair, and her BABY!
The navy dress is so flattering on you!!!
it reminds me of the barden bellas from pitch perfect loll
I know right Omg ❤️
It’s very sexy yet modest and quite a good shape/fit. I wish I looked that good in a tighter dress. It’s flared skirts only for me lol
Random Persona right

You should do a video recreating bitmoji outfits. I think that'd be fun 🙂
Fr tho that would b sooooooo fun!!
Ya like that
Yesss 😊
Yes that would be so cute!!
Noooooo! That blue button dress looks so gorgeous on you! You should keep it! 🤩
I agree...maybe worn with a scarf to guard against a potential wardrobe malfunction? But I dont blame Sierra for donating it, if I'm constantly worrying about buttons, I'm uncomfortable all day.
I agree! I just wear a dress like that with a tank top underneath and open the top buttons! :)
Agreed! What was the brand on that one? I want to try it too!
You could also put an extra hook and eye closure in it.
Linda Huinink I know!!!! Same!
Girl!! Add that blue dress into your clothing rotation! Your waist is so defined and it fits you perfectly
Lol when your mom said the outfit was “interesting” I died 😂😂. Oh but I love that boxy jacket it kind of reminds me of the 90s male jackets which I’ve been into bc of watching Friends.
She just wore the dress, there was no styling involved. There is so much you could do with it to make it more fun! Add little white sneakers and a tank underneath and it's more casual. Add a pullover sweater and a different belt and use it as a skirt. Unbutton it and wear it over leggings and a tee. Come On!
Megan Hansen didn’t she say it was her style? It makes sense if she wants to try and see if it fits into her closet. It would be cool to see her maybe in the future style something in multiple ways.
Also, I think most of the outfits would look so much better with other types of shoes! You should try to leave the brown flats for a bit
You should make a poshmark!!! I am sure myself and other mid size girls would love it! You could alwyas take the money and donate to a charity if it makes you feel weird!
yay
Amazing idea
Or a depop so that it can be internationally
Great idea!
Anyone know how long it usually takes her to ship an item from poshmark? I ordered skates a week ago and it's still pending shipment.
That navy dress was fabulous. You should have kept it
I love “shopping” in my closet. Wearing “new” clothes without the bill!
Same😅
I "shop" in my mom's clothes lol
Can we just all applaud her for sticking through this challenge, even during a high profile event for her, like a panel? You're fantastic!
I think the blue dress would of looked so pretty with some white sneaker platforms or white converse :D
omg yessss
YESSSSS! So true! Even with some espadrilles too!
* Would have looked 😂😂
Andrea 17 ok grammar patrol
or some boat sperrys
When he kissed your cheek and you said “hi!” That was the cutest thing ever.
4) Should have paired the skirt with a cute crop top. Would have looked less mature and more fun!
Pairing sweet girly pieces with more edgy pieces always works too
The skirt is great on you, but...why the hell the gray top and that BELT????????
@@karenmeschede8983 That was my thought too. It looked frumpy. She needed something fun for the top and that would have helped.
Ooh, very 50’s Hollywood siren sort of look! 🔥
I also thought she should turn the skirt to the side. I didn't like that weird gathering in the front.
Girl you look AMAZING in that blue dress!!
Can you pleaseeee do a video where you go get a fitting for a bra size and they give you tips on how you know your wearing the correct bra size because also being a larger chested woman its hard to know if I'm wearing the correct bra size but never have time to go get a fitting for myself.
smiles like sunshine there’s the subreddit r/abrathatfits that gives a lot of tips for sizing yourself at home! A video of Sierra following that would be cool too
Omg I was just thinking same thing a major curvy body issue
Would be cool to compare getting fitted in store and measuring yourself
Brooklyn and Bailey just posted a video all about bras.
I SELL BRAS!!!! Crash course on knowing if bras fit right: the cup is neither gapping nor squeezing you. The center gore (the little piece of fabric between the two cups on the front) is laying flat against you chest. The wires are sitting flat against your ribs. The wings (the back part of the bra that has the hooks) are parallel with the ground. The straps are neither falling off nor squeezing you. If they hit all of those points its a perfect bra. How you measure yourself: take a tape measure to right below your busy and measure the circumference. If the number you get is an even number, add 4 inches. If it is an odd number, add 5. This end result is your band size. Next, measure over the highest part of your bust. Then take the difference between that and your band number (post addition of 4/5). Each inch is equal to a cup size: 0in difference- AA cup, 1 in- A cup, 2in- B cup, etc. Sister-size tips: sister sizing is for when your true size doesnt fit you quite right (it happens). What you do is you go up in one measurement and down in another. For example, if my true size has me squeezing out of my 32D cup just a little bit, i would go to a size 30 DD because it will fit me a bit better. When in doubt, find someone to help you. I work at aerie and were super well trained at this stuff. If your uncomfortable with us seeing your bra we can totally grab you a t-shirt to put on top, but its cool jf your down to just show us your bra. I tease my guy friends that ive seen more boobs than all of them combined (its definitely true). Aerie is a really amazing bra shop that is all about body positivity. We dont retouch our images and we celebrate diversity. But they are hard to find. You can always try your local american eagle (we are sister companies) or you can try another bra shop. Good luck!
Love that you are re-using your own clothes instead of fast fashion!
Striped mock neck shirt with those green overalls you tried in that one video!!!
If I remember correctly, she actually considered pairing them together, but decided against it because it looked a little bit too mimey. :)
That second dress looks so good on you!!!I think you generally look better in dresses than pants/ jeans. And I like the first outfit without the jacket too :p
Love the navy blue dress on you!!! So flattering! Quick style tip on the floral dress! crop jackets that come just above the hips will look perfect with fit and flare dresses.
Agree on the cropped jacket but it's too short for my liking if she's fine with it cool but I'd feel totally uncomfortable
That polka dot skirt is classic!glad you’re keeping it. Try styling it with a cute white top and a red lip and a little bow in your hair I think you’ll look amazing xx
Try the midi skirt with fitted white crop top or tucked in vneck and cute white keds!! This will dress it down a little but keep it super cute
Yes! That look will be great and keep her from feeling like a mom!
Agree! Or add fitted white t shirt or tank top with rolled sleeve jean jacket & white keds.
Well, "Boxy Jackets" and coats are making a comback along with a lot of other 80's yuppie-professionel-bosslike style. You are so on point for this fall and 2020!
That floral dress looks SO nice on you. That is the perfect style dress for you.
A great busty girl tip for the button front dress; leave the top 3 buttons open and wear a complimentary tank top underneath.
I LOVED the boxy jacket on you!! It's such a modern city look, like you said, makes you look extra fierce and strong!
That blue dress is gorgeous on you. Great length for you and what a shape you have.
I don't think that jacket suits your height and body shape. The leather one looked a lot better with the first outfit
The leather one looked way too small.
Yup, I agreed with her mom on the boxy. She would look much better in one that is tailored in the waist to begin with. And because she's not that tall shorter, cropped jackets - or max hip length - looks always better. If she wants to keep wearing it, styling it with a belt and wearing a heel might make a positive difference.
@@ellebee511 but the length of the leather definitely suits her height and shape much better. The longer boxier one made her seem shorter and wider
maybe it’s just personal preference but I thought the boxy look was cool. Idk I’m kind of into fashion that brings a masculine element to a feminine outfit. It also had like a “workplace casual” vibe which I thought was fitting for her style
Naomi Doll agreed. was not flattering
I loved the boxy jacket, personally. Maybe not the most flattering, but I love the look and style of it. Not everything has to be “flattering” all the time!
That blue dress looked great on you! I also think a white tee knitted with that blue Anthropologie skirt would be so cute!!
Sierra: I’m gonna style this
Also Sierra: Adds a denim jacket and some booties
That's how I style things lol
Wait what am I missing here? Is that not styling?
@@sabbaby4430 ever heard of accessories? Completing a outfit isnt really styling it
Also that polka dot skirt with a fitted retro tee and a denim jacket would be super cute, paired with some converse, very casual.
Yes and I think she should wear the last dress with a denim jacket and white adidas or something like that. The brown booties was not a fit for me with this dress!
A cropped denim jacket though! She keeps putting the longer one she has over pieces where the waist is higher/defined and completely ruining the line of her body
I wear midi skirts most days bc even though it’s a bit extra for just sitting on my computer during uni work, it’s super comfortable and makes me feel good
Great video!
Kind of sad you gave up the dress fro day two. It was a bit mature, but you looked so fabulous in it!
I need that polka dot skirt in my life.
The blue button up dress looks so flattering and cute on you! Keep it!
When you showed the polka dot midi skirt I immediately was like “I would totally wear that for teaching!” Lol! I love a midi skirt and some wedges
GIRL. That navy dress and the polka dot skirt both look AMAZING on you! But those brown flats gotta go 😂 and I wasn't a fan on the boxy jacket. Just not my style.
For the 1% that see this
You are beautiful/handsome and you are so amazing! Have an amazing day😁
Ella T Aww thank you ❤️🥰😊... ur beautiful also😍🤩😻
You too!
I love how your a body positive role model for young people today!! Thank you so much for being who you are!! I love your videos!
Not super into boxy jackets. Loved the outfit with the leather jacket instead though!
I agree i loved the leather jacket look
same!! the leather jacket looked so much better...
Same
agreeed!
To more "casual down" the skirt.. Try an off shoulder top or a white tee.. Or a shirt with alil graphic on it.. Or a spaghetti bodysuit.. I'm very glad you kept the skiry
Yes! So inspired to do this with my own closet and donate those ones that I just can’t get behind anymore. Could you do a video walking us through the clothes you have normally on the clothing rack in your filming setup? Maybe on the vlog? I can’t stop eyeing the blue dress you keep back there on the far left!
That floral dress from express is the most flattering thing you’ve ever worn!!! That floral is so pretty on you, the colors make you look so tan.
Sorry Sierra. I have got to agree with your mom on that. The jacket it's too boxy. I was hoping you would have worn the leather Jacket.
Phantomcelebi OwO funny how I believe it’s the other way around, the leather makes her look boxy.
I agree - the boxy jacket looked awesome and I thought the leather jacket was too small.
the leather was better for sure
@@bonniesinclair100 the leather jacket hit her in the right spot and was super tough looking. Plus it went well with the booties.
@@heidicain the leather jacket was small but hit her waist so it gives her a shape.
That Bollie dress is insane! So good! You could make it feel 'younger' by adding fun accessories. A pop of color shoe would be amazing. Also, it would be great to see you branch out from high-waisted everything and black booties.
Same with the skirt, you need to pair it with a fun color in the top, and fun accessories. You said the skirt makes you feel mature, but the whole outfit is kind of blah.
You should sell them on poshmark because I would totally buy some of these!

I never want to get rid of clothing because I feel like my wardrobe is so limited already, but this is a great way to make a final decision.
Moms and more “mature” women like to drink wine and watch the bachelor too
Amanda Bray being a mom I LOL’d at the “mommy blogger mature skirt” comment
Amanda Bray
That moment, when a trendy, young RUclipsr talks about ‚mature‘ women and you realize, she means women like you...😆
Amanda Bray agreed. I kind of felt judged at that moment. Like, we don’t all spend time at the library and changing diapers. We have life too!
@@MrsGMBG Honestly half way into the video and I'm already annoyed by her mentioning twice how something is 'too mature' for her and calling it something more for ' a mom' etc. Like dressing nice and mature means you have to be a mom to do so and also moms don't have anything other to do then be bussy with kids and be seriouse the whole time?! I'm 25 and I really think she could stop almost shaming people like this. She doesn't think of herself as a mature grown up, fine, we get it. But she clearly has NO idea what mature means nor what mature people (aka those moms she keeps mentioning...) do. She is right though; she really isn't mature enough to wear a mature look.
@@leonoormulder2872 lol you're really pressed. everyone knew what she meant but get your feelings hurt if you want.
Tip from another busty lady whose buttons pull always: you can add a little invisible snap button in between the buttons of the piece to keep it nice and flat!
I think that navy dress would be paired with some more modern/bright accessories to tone down the "journalist" aspect.
Love u dear😍😍😍so much positivity in ur body language👌😍😍love from india😍
That polka dot skirt would also look super cute dressed down with a graphic tee and some sandals or slip on sneakers! 😍
SOOOO into this new intro! Seriously, y’all are KILLING IT with the content, and overall new style of the channel ❤️
I LOOOOVVEE that floral dress on its own
Can we just appreciate how beautiful Sierra is? Like... wow❤️
Hana Rachel yessss!
Oh no! I really liked that day 2 dress on you!
I love the jacket with the first outfit! So sophisticated and like..."adult-y" LOL
I almost always think your outfits are super cute, but your shoe selection needs help. Even the greatest outfits can be ruined by wrong shoes.
Jenna Proctor I wear converse with everything and it looks great
@@karaadams269 do you mean that YOU think that it looks great? I'm sure converse shoes won't look great with everything, mostly just boring
fan of you wow thanks for the insult! I’ll wear my converse even more often now :) you’re welcome.
@@karaadams269 yeah man i really do not care, wear whatever you want
Kara Adams I’m actually sure they do not look great 😂
This is so inspirational 🙏🏻! Everybody should do this once in a while. Buy less and shop in your closet 🙌🏻 it’s better for the environment and saves also money 😊 I like most of the outfits very much! Greetings from a big fan from Germany 🖤
no hate but does anyone else hate when people pair ankle boots with shorts/skirts/dresses. Idk man I feel like I need some tights and socks to pull it off
I hate ankle boots/booties with skirts/dresses and shorts
chloe crawley i hate it as well. I feel like it makes me look shorter and stockier.
It works when you’ve got long skinny legs lol
I think ankle boots go with everything... they are also basically the only thing i wear
Ankle boots w heels are always cute, no heels it depends
Double sided fashion tape works great for keeping buttoned items closed and flat.
I feel like that skirt would have looked awesome with a white graphic tee and some white sneakers would have looked so fire girl.
Yess
I don’t understand the hate for “mom” looks (what does that even mean?)... I think it’s better than looking like a high schooler as an adult, but that’s just me. Not saying she looks that way btw; I’m just saying all the classy looks are deemed “older, mature woman” as if that’s bad.
Love the jacket. The outfit works with or without it, but I love the extra dimension to the look when he jacket is on.
I LOVE both the jackets in that first look. Totally gave me badass businesswoman by day and rockstar by night vibes! Also I audibly GASPED when I saw that blue button dress, I need it in my life! (It looked AMAZING on you btw!)
Sierra, since I started watching your videos I feel like I have changed my mind about my body, i used to put me down every time I saw myself on the mirror, but now I love my body as it is, I don’t really care what society thinks how I should look and I take care of myself more often than before, thank you for being that support I need it, I’ll keep growing with you and every video. You’re an inspiration 💕
I love you!!! I'm new, but you've already helped me sooo much. Mommy of 3, but I'm 26 and don't know how to embrace my youth through clothing without looking like I'm trying too hard, but I also don't want to look frumpy. Keep up the good work❤️ I'm taking notes
I'm 22 with 2 kiddos and I completely understand exactly what your talking about. I never know how to dress without looking slumpy or looking more "mature" or older than I actually am. I'm always in jeans and hoodies with the hair in a mom bun. It's difficult for me to find clothes thats cute and trendy without looking "older".
@@brewise5341 That's my issue too. I have a couple trends I can "pull off" but for the most part I feel dumb trying. I don't know what I'm doing, or how to execute the ideas/trends in my size without it being obvious that I'm trying too hard.
Hey Sierra , just letting you know that you inspired me (a plus sized gal ) to finally go shopping for jeans with your shopping videos. I spent the time and invested in myself and found myself some jeans that fit my body and shut up the voices in my head that always tell me that my body is broken , and just kept looking until I found clothing that was made properly for my body. I haven't been able to do that EVER. And I'm 29 years old. So thank you. ❤
2) Should have kept the blue button up dress. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Amber Smith Well... she didn’t
A tied up white t shirt and tennis shoes would be a cute way to incorporate that polka dot skirt into your everyday style.
That Blue bodycon button down dress 😍. You looked AMAZING in it!! Where did you get it?
I would love to get one like it!
I need a Skylar in my life.
that button up dress is soo stunning on you!
With that polka dot skirt, I think it would be so cute with a maroon coloured top!! & that floral print dress, best of both worlds, you should get a denim vest so you can show off the cute sleeves but you still have the denim to break it up!
Honestly I need to do this cause I have so many clothes I NEVER wear 😭😭😩
I like the first outfit without the jacket BUT I am IN LOVE with the jacket in general. I personally would just style it differently. You look great in everything though! Love it.
when her mom said, "interesting." Best part of the whole video
I loved the jacket your mom thought was interesting lol. I loved the whole outfit but I'll definitely be looking for a similar jacket for myself
I’m a teacher and thought that I would a skirt like that to wear to work, and then you said the thing about liking it if you were a teacher
I think that blue dress was so much cuter without the belt because I think it interrupts the buttons and cuts almost weirdly in the waist, but I also love it because if the tie and definition
I liked the edgy sexy leather jacket. its less like a jacket and more of the outfit look. But you look great! What matters that you like it :) also i loved the midi skirt outfit! Looks amazing!
OMG THAT BUTTONDOWN DRESS!! THAT IS YOUR FIT GIRL! YOUR BODY IS BANGIN & SO CURVE DEFINING IN IT! BUY IT IN EVERY COLOR!
I love the jacket in the first outfit ;) sometimes, SOMETIMES moms don't know best ;)
Hi Seirra, I loved the fact you paired the outfits with the denim jacket you owned but I really think you should buy a denim jacket that hits at your natural waist it would look stunning on you! x
Seirra wear the polka skirt with a white graphic tee... Or a tank n denim jacket to dress it down
I put a mini safety pin in the space inbetween buttons in the chest area on shirts and when it's not necessary to unbutton to put on/take off a buttoned garment i sew a stitch next to and between the buttons to prevent gaping. Same with too plunging necklines, use a safety pin or sew a stitch or two.
Girl deodorant on the inner thighs helps stop the chub rub. Also I feel the need to buy you jewelry! Whenever I think about styling things I think jewelry and you rarely wear it. But that's a personal preference.
I’ve tied a denim jacket, or a camo or plaid jacket/flannel in certain cases, around my waist so it breaks up colors/patterns and accentuates my waist as well. But I totally agree a denim jacket can definitely help make an outfit better at times.
Sierra you should try Monistat anti chaffing gel. Has changed my life and no longer need bike shorts. You can buy three on amazon for like $29
for short dresses and skirts, the arm and hammer anti chaffing stick, i think it’s called friction defense or something, is a total game changer for chub rub! it’s super cheap on amazon and it’s worked wonders for me
I want that blue button down dress so freaking bad! It's exactly my style, and color. I could see myself wearing that to work constantly!!! Ugh and that skirt!!! I am weak 😭
That polka dot skirt would look super cute with your leather jacket and some black booties. I think that would bring it more into your edgy style. The ballet flats make it too 'girly' for you. Great video. Made me have a rethink about some of the pieces in my own wardrobe
