This should be considered some of the most fascinating research humans should look into. Sadly this know-how seems to be coopted and manipulated to the point where the true knowledge of these principles is being veiled. Not to mention the insects themselves aren't unlimited for research.
Wouldn’t it be possible to find out the materials and nano structures of the shell? Maybe this can help us understand how they work, how light refracts, or maybe even how the anti-gravity phenomenon works without the need to hunt down more of those insects?
