Emory University looks good. First of all, congratulations on your admission to Emory University. I am a parent of a student who is considering entering Emory. By the way, are there air conditioning facilities in the dormitory, library, and lecture room of the school (especially in the student dormitory)? And this school is in the south of the United States, and the place where the school is located in a humid area, so I have a question. How many terrible bugs (such as cockroaches) have you encountered in your room while living in a student dormitory? I wish you a happy school life. Thank you.
Hey Abby, thx for the video. Wondering if you could share a bit about your experience in neuroscience. Interested in knowing if there is any child trauma research happening on campus and how easy it is to do research as a freshman or sophomore? Thx!
I’m not sure if there is research on child trauma specifically (you may have to look on Google), but I’m taking PSYC 111 with a professor named Arber Tasimi and his lab focuses on child psychology such as moral decision making. I also participated in a research study about childhood memory! Super easy to do research! I feel like there are so many labs at Emory that it’s not hard to find one wiling to take you. I like that because it gives me the freedom to pick a research lab that i’m truly interested in. I started my freshman year :)
Hi!! I’m in my senior year and my sat score for the first round was’nt so good and due to co vid i do not think I’ll be able to get another try in :(. If I have the GPA range for Emory, should I still consider doing ED? Also how is the business department and academic rigour in the school?
hi Leisha! you should consider going test optional. The business school and pre-business track is very popular at Emory! The academic rigor is good. I feel challenged in all of my classes but there is also a lot of resources to make sure I succeed

Hey! Do all freshman get a separate room? And how's the business school there? is it easy to transfer from one college to the other? Btw... Love your decor! and your vid! thanks!!
nope! i only got my own room because of COVID. There are some singles available to freshmen every year but they are half the size of my dorm and are difficult to get unless you have something like a medical need. The business school is great! Our Goizueta Business School is a top 30 school (rank #26). By transfer do you mean transfer majors? We only have one “college”. It is easy to transfer for most majors! You don’t have to declare a major until the end of your second year.

hi! you said that raoul hall was "the luck of the draw," so does that mean one doesn't necessarily get their first choice pick of residence hall? I'm going to be an incoming freshman in the fall, and I am interested in raoul hall!
raoul, hamilton, turman, and eagle are on the freshman quad and have the newest rooms. dobbs is the smallest/oldest but is next to the student center and middle of campus. complex and harris are also older and by the business school (harris is slightly nicer but it houses both first and second years). alabama is by cox (one of the dining halls) and has good rooms! it’s just by the clock tower so it can be a little noisy
@@michellevenegas4031 yes and no. if you have special accommodations you can request a single. otherwise, you have no influence on whether you get a double suite, regular double, triple, etc (triples are really rare. there’s a lot of suites in eagle and raoul). you can choose your roommate though! most colleges have random housing- this isn’t an emory specific thing. for second year and upperclassmen housing you can pick which room and building! it’s actually a good thing that housing is random! it prevents friend groups from all selecting the same floor / all the halls have their pros and cons. emory housing is good for the most part
