As I watch, I'm fiddling with my latest favorite fidget knife--an Opinel No. 8. Granted, right out of the box, it wasn't much fun. But then I spent an afternoon whittling the handle for a better grip (how many knives can you mod with another knife?), reshaping the blade from clip to drop for carving, and opening up the blade slot every so slightly. That was one whole afternoon of fidgeting, and now the blade flicks out and back, with just enough friction to stay open, and it locks solid. It opens with a solid click against the lockring, and closes with a satisfying thwack against beech wood. That's a bunch of entertainment for $14.
My most recent knife was a Mini Sheepdog. I like the design and for the price I had to give it a shot. I’m blown away by the quality, fit and finish! It sounds great too!
"when you have a particularly long fidget session and your hand gets tired" As my GF walks by and says 'Awwww yeaaaaaah'. This quarantine needs to end.. lol. Love the video. Thanks Bryan! Keep 'em coming!
With this increase in your videos, I haven't gotten any school work done in the past few weeks😂 definitely not complaining though. Keep up the great work!
One of my favorite budget knives is the Real Steel T101 Thor. I've got a couple of standard editions (black G10 and brown G10) and the black Special Edition. The action of those knives is unreal. Another great budget knife is the Ganzo Firebird FB series.
Just finally got a smock. Got the new KnifeJoy exclusive in 20cv and couldn’t be happier on much fun this knife is. Just have to be careful with it because it is wicked sharp
Great list Bryan, these kinds of vids are my favorite I have to say! When you highlight a list of knives in a given category it really speaks to some great knives that are attainable by all! 👍🏻
Great review Brian. The 0562 ti is what dragged me into this hobby and hooked on action. My primary quarantine flippers have been the Ferrum Forge Fortis 2.0 and the Olamic Whippersnapper but great to see some new options to eye.
I got a lil native about 2 months ago cuz u responded to my comment and damn is it a knife im in love with wouldn't have seen it if it wasn't for you thanks keep up the great vids!
Great video! I appreciate that you put this much info together on the fidget blades that are currently available, and from any budget. Fidget factor definitely makes a difference for me personally, as to which knives I keep. You definitely sold me on a couple of knives here. It's funny because I've been wanting to try a smock. So I waited the whole video, post Mordax, to see if you would mention the Smock. Definitely going to be picking one up. As well as an Ikuchi.. and maybe a Mordax.. haha! Great video!👍
Great video. I am going to habe a closer look to some of these (especially the Ikuchi). I am also having a LOT of fun with the iQ since it arrived - the mechanical feel and sound of it is just fantastic.
Enjoyable video; hopefully you'll also do another installment with the knives you labeled 'unobtainium'. Many of us simply enjoy the beauty and ingenuity of knives, period. Let's be honest many of us regularly view things we will never be able to own, or is impossible to buy individually: high-end cars, houses, mail-order brides, etc. etc. and yet we can still enjoy their existence.
You should try the mini freek. I can spidey and index flick it. It is far superior to the bugout for figiting and the limited edition jade is still available everywhere.
I'm a sucker for a good axis lock blade though the size of the utx-85 is perfect for edc. Especially when you also carry a fixed blade with it daily. Great video
I broke the omega springs on a Benchmade 940 by opening/closing (fidgeting) with it in less than a month. There’s a definite cap on the number of times you can open/close a BM knife. I’ve sent my other BM back three times for broken omega springs.
WE 609 (most drop smooth knife ever), Bestech swordfish, skaha 2, Boker Kalashnikov (fires out harder than protech), but still Protech tr-4, Kizer begleiter ti, Koenig arius, Reate jack to name a few.
The Real Steel Rokot costs 55-75 Euros here in Europe. Real Steel in general, and other Brands. But the other ones like Spyderco and others, are bit more expensive than in the USA. The Rokot is on my list since I saw it last week on a Chanel from an Russian guy. I don't remember his Channel name because he doesn't say, HALLO SLICEY DICERS!
My poor wife has gotten used to my “fiddling” with the knives I buy. She has endured 18 years of click...click....click...click.... It could probably drive a lesser person insane, but some knives, some knives, you just MUST play with.
A friend owns a 562 ti. and wit a little practice you can middle finger flick it. My friend does it great and in a few minutes I was doin it wit his 562. And his is all beat up. And still smooth as butter.
Great list I would recommend the new Kizer Maestro you can open it tons of ways it sounds great and it full black titanium for like $180 I think I paid
I greatly urge you to get your hands on a Freeman outdoor gear 451 button lock. Same price as the mordax give or take and they make an unbelievably good sound and are ridiculously fidgety
Question: when you closed the last 2 Spydercos Ikuchi and Smock? It seemed like the blades were bouncing, are they hitting the standoffs in the handles? Thanks for putting out these videos, they are entertaining.
@@SliceyDicey Highly recommend getting one in hand. Crazy smooth washer action and a lovely little "🎶ping🎶" upon closing. Only real bummer about it is you need a scale swap and clip right out of the box on a $248 knife... but I'm quite pleased with mine!
@@erich_raw certainly respect your freedom to believe in whatever religion you choose, and express it (as I would expect the same in return); just took me off guard in a knife review video.
I just need to stop Fidgeting with them in public now LOL, I get funny looks as I walk through the store flipping a overly tactical knife and not even realizing that i’m doing it
Got a random unnamed switchblade i don't carry that opens so hard it jumps out of peoples hands because im an asshole and tell them how it opens not how hard
Slicey, hey checkin your vid out. It says something like 21k views an like a 130 likes! I am not a u tuber but can you explain that to me. Cause obviously something ain't right.
@@mjc7778 Right! My wife can not hear me when I am talking to her from 6 feet away. but I can be in a different room flipping a knife with the door shut and she will come in and tell me to go to the garage. lol

My wife recently shut down my fidgeting with my Civivi McKenna. Seems that I exceeded her fidget threshold that day!

I thought that as it was coming out of my mouth and I just let it happen. Wait... that’s not any better...
Bruh.. 😂😂😂
Absolutely love the Spyderco Smock, strong work Brian. Your videos are keeping me sane during the quarantine! Thx
Glad you like them!

Thanks for the Video Bryan! It's perfect timing, doesn't matter when I get the notification!
Mine are: Smock, Mordax, Redencion Street, 0562, Para3, Griptilian, Vector, Texel, Hornet and WE 617. 👍🏽🔪

I’m glad the Ikuchi made the list. It’s so addicting
Happy Birthday, some good picks for sure. I figured Nick was saving the best friend key for your present.🔑🎁
Got my smock a few weeks ago and it's definitely the one I fidget with the most.

The Massdrop Kubota. Nothing can match that.
The perfect video I’ve been looking for!!!! 👍👍👍
I believe the reason for the extra detent in the smock is so it will not open in your pocket if the button is pushed.
You sold me on the mordax just ordered one i can't wait. Think its gotta be my fav knife i own.
Whenever I pick up my Civivi McKenna, it leads to a fidgety blitzkrieg of clicking.
A clickzkrieg, actually.

What ya need is a mantra 3. It's like the smock in deployment but doesn't look like, well, the smock lol.
I'm so glad I live by myself. Nobody thinks I'm crazy when I play with a Rambo knife on my couch... Until I tell everyone on the internet about it. 🤔
I love the Texel so much. What a fantastic knife.
Sog kiku xr is extremely fun to fidget with.
As molly hatchett would say "you are flirting with disaster"....get the box of bandaides ready.

Why are knive enthusiasts such elitists? Not you Slicey. You aren’t. Which is why I watch you.
The Mordax is such a fun knife!! The Centauri is such a dreamy knife...lol!!
My top 10 in order; Brown / Exponent, Benchmade / 943, Gareth Bull / Trapper, Boker Plus / Exskelibur, Chris Reeve / Small Inkosi, Kershaw / Launch 11, Piranha / DNA, Olamic / Busker, Gareth Bull / Shamwari and Benchmade / Bugout.

What about the Kizer Cormorant? That thing looks suuuuuper fidgety, and I’m planning on buying it in a bit
Great list. Can't speak for the autos, never had my hands on one. Mordax would have been my #1. But I liked the Smock so much that I bought 2 of them.
You forgot the JHO jokr. It’s literally a fidget spinner knife!!
Nice variety
How did I know it would be a micro tech the second he said second most annoying knife
My US made Kershaw Link is my main fidgeter right now
Can I just say you sound like the tennis dude from the bee movie. Love ya
There are 8 ways to open the Benchmade 300!! I own most of the ones in your video and agree with your choices especially the sound of the 0562Ti.
Got my first Honey Badger! I love it! Now I want to collect them all.
Didn't you have a BM anthem? Hard to beat imo. Although they need a mini anthem.
I love that smock. And them micarta scales. That's a sexy knife. I will have one soon.
Nice video. Couldn't agree with you more on the Vanguard Sheepdog. ZT 0562 ti sound with thumbstuds = the Kizer T1.
I watched your fidget video from last year this morning lol
I think it might just be worth it for me to move to another state so I can get in on the Protech & Microtech fidget action!
Me to I'm ready I'm would just worried about finding a job
Footprints In The Sierra that’s dedication

It could probably drive a lesser person insane, but some knives, some knives, you just MUST play with.
I've still yet to find a knife as fidgety as my zt 0462, a few of the boos blades offerings come close though
The Ikuchi is awesome.
Ooh the Malice! That is a sexy beast! Perfect timing for this video
Benchmade Precipice is pretty smooth as well.
Excellent choices. I enjoyed this topic along with comments about your wife/daughter😅
I can see you like bestechs. I have the bestech goblin cf and it has an amazing action, fantastic finish and quality, overall excellent fidget knife.
The ZT0562Ti... That sound made me get up to grab it....haha
So torn between what spyderco to get next.

You can't open the 562 with the thumb studs so I can't imagine how you do it with the middle finger flick. What is the trick?
YAY BLADE SHOW IS BACK ON!!!!!!!!!
Wouldn't hold my breath yet.
Great list I would recommend the new Kizer Maestro you can open it tons of ways it sounds great and it full black titanium for like $180 I think I paid
Hey...that’s a bunch of great fidgets ...
i got a 20cv smock from knifejoy on the way as i watch this video. very excited!
I’ve recently switched to fidgeting with my bolt action pen. Knife fidgeting in public is a no go usually.
Sbr great knife
Budget knife CRKT BT Fighter. Which I’m sure would have been on the list but you sent it to me. Fidget is about all it is good for though.
I usually don’t get flipper fatigue, my thumb gets raw from lock jimping and stuff like that first lol
I greatly urge you to get your hands on a Freeman outdoor gear 451 button lock. Same price as the mordax give or take and they make an unbelievably good sound and are ridiculously fidgety
Been wanting one.
6:09 reminds me of 'Cultösaurus Erectus', thankfully doesn't have a black blade, cuz that would be bad luck😉
Question: when you closed the last 2 Spydercos Ikuchi and Smock? It seemed like the blades were bouncing, are they hitting the standoffs in the handles? Thanks for putting out these videos, they are entertaining.
Hitting the stop pins as they're supposed to.

Never held one.

Does the zt hard to flip using the flipper tab? Is it the same as xm18 that is hard to flip?
I use the thumb studs on my 0562
No Spyderco manix?
I read this as best budget knives.
Absolutely love my Hogue Dekka. That Able Lock is SWEEY!
Would you please to a review of your Real Steel G slip? Thanks!!
Sometime soon.
You forgot any balisong, most fidget friendly knives ever!!!
Didn't forget. Don't like them.
Best fidget knife is a balisong and nobody can tell me otherwise.
LOVE my Smock
2:08 you said 5th pocket like I’m supposed to know what that is. Is that like a prison wallet?
You're the only person to ask what that is. Coin pocket/watch pocket/fifth pocket. It has many names.
Pretty disappointing that you didn’t even show the blade on the Microtech!
My 940 is good, but my BM 417 is unparralled.

Super glue

Yep!

Did you find yourself missing your Skaha 2 when compiling this list?
Kinda. I don’t miss it quite as much as I thought I would.
I could flip my skaha 2 for hours. Amazing action for its light weight.
Kershaw Launch are major wife annoyers
