    Yellow - Great informative video. I have recently purcahsed ETF's through commpocket but would love to see a video on the difference between commpocket and commsec and what you would use each one for 😊 being self taught, I have watched hundreds upon hundreds of videos.. yours are the simplest to understand, thankyou!

      Hey Ellie, thanks so much! Makes me happy that my videos has helped you. I’ll definitely do a detailed video to explain the difference. But, long story short - Pocket is Commsec on training wheels. It only offers a limited number of ETFs you can invest in. Whereas, Commsec allows you to invest in every stock/ETF in the ASX.

    If you had to choose would you go with IOO or IVV. Both seem more or less the same and the advantage of IOO via the app is the lower trading fees. Thoughts? Thanks.

    • @BryanInvest
      @BryanInvest  Год назад

      Hey Greg, IVV is the US top 500 companies. IOO is Global 100 companies, although majority is US. I think IOO is more comparable to VGS. Anyway, they all have inter-lapping companies and will likely provide the same return long term so I would just go with the most convenient one.

      Yes, unfortunately there is a rule called the 'minimum marketable parcel' where you must buy at least $500 for your first parcel of any stocks if you are using a chess sponsored broker. You can then top up in smaller amounts once you've made the initial purchase.

    Is there any fee to transfer money from saving account to CDIA ? Second is it necessary to have some money in CDIA account to buy share or we can buy share from saving account money , ?

    • @BryanInvest
      @BryanInvest  11 месяцев назад

      No fees to transfer. The CDIA acts as your settlement account. You don’t actually need money in there when you buy shares. Commsec uses T+2 meaning they will settle and take your money 2 business days after you buy the shares. So you’ll need to have the correct amount in the CDIA within 2 days of purchase.

    • @BryanInvest

      Hey Pratik, if you have a CDIA account then it will be the same fee as when you buy ($10-19.95 depending on how much you sell)
      The amount will be deducted at the point of sale so you’ll know exactly how much to have in your settlement (CDIA) account.

    • @BryanInvest
      @BryanInvest  10 месяцев назад

      Hi, once you have bought the shares, they don't 'expire'. You can keep them forever. The expiry date is for your order. For example, you can create a buy order to buy 10 shares of Company A for $100 each. If the share price does not fall to $100 within 20 days (or however long you set your expiry date to) then your order will get canceled :)
