CLASS of YAROSLAV SEKH

Class of curse 6/I taught by Yaroslav Sekh at GITIS, Moscow's Russian Institute of Theatrical Arts.
Yaroslav Danilovich Sekh was born on October 1st 1930 in Poland. In 1951 he graduated from Moscow's Choreographic School with the legendary teacher Nikolai Tarasov.
Since then and up to 1973 he was a soloist at the Bolshoi Theatre, time during which he took classes with famous Marina Semyonova.
He also graduated from GITIS as a Teacher/Choreographer, where once again studied with Tarasov, and later taught himself Methods of Teaching Classical Dance at the same institute until his decease in November 19th 2020.

Yaroslav Danilovich Cekh fue mi Maestro de Ballet durante mis años de estudiante en el GITIS en la facultad de Pedagogía y Coreografía desde 1980 a 1984 lo recuerdo con mucha admiración y respeto, me encantaban sus clases las cuales dictaba en el Instituto a 7:30 am. antes de comenzar las clases asignadas a cada curso...su interpretación de Paganini era excelente !
