Buff had everything. The look, work, charisma.....was sabotaged.
Christopher Comitini Mommas boy that had a body and could talk but couldn't work. Scott Stieners bitch
@@williamsimmerman3576 prove it
It was proven 20 years ago when he had his mommy call in sick for him.
By vince russo
Who cares what his mom did. Hes more widely known than any of us motherfu*kers ever will be. Haters. smh
This is a very interesting interview. I'm watching it to prepare for interviewing Buff myself later this week.
How'd that go, Hannibal?
Buff was one of my favorite wrestlers on WCW circa 1991/1992 when he was young and up-and-coming Marcus Bagwell.
Buff The Stuff...Bagwell was the man..
That interview was "Totally Buffed"
Buff gives his number out at the end of one of these shoots. I Texted him and he responded and called me!!
Shame what they did to him. The fact that we still talk about it is proof of how good he was. Buff Bagwell was easily Top 5 WCW homegrown talent.
Buff bro , why did JR do it bro ? He’s not our bro bro
Thank you for doing this interview, Vince. It really is a crying shame that he didn't get that run in WWE. Buff has a better body than ANYONE on the current roster and has more charisma.
Knowing McMahon's penchant for big muscular men, it is even more puzzling.
Vince paid for WCW just to let it purposely burn! He never had any plans for anything or anyone WCW! He just wanted to watch it burn
All i know is, i really enjoyed Buff Bagwell as a kid, he made me laugh & had a cool finisher. I remember thinking what happen to Buff? He most definitely was at least a top mid-carder for WWE if they used him.
We love you Bagwell!! Thanks for the upload Vince!
If you were to count the amount of times the word "Bro" was said during this interview it would probably be more than the amount of somas Buff took in his life.
Watching this interview and seeing how Buff made a success of his life despite the shitty circumstances is really a great motivator to many to do what you need to be happy.
Always loved buff ...Glad to hear your clean again.
buff bagwell had it all everything wwe image was looking for
BUFF went through a lot of STUFF
What a great interview. No matter what, Buff is the man. Feel horrible for the way he was treated by the WWE. Happy the way he kicked the stuff and got back to being in a good space. Russo...thanks for a great interview!
Will tolerate Vince Russo to hear from Buff Bagwell.
My dude Buff the Stuff N.W.O 4 life. tell it all bro, tell it all
Interview Summary: Bro, bro, bro, bro, bro, bro, bro, bro, bro, bro
I feel like mcman buried this dude.
Always had a great time whenever buff the stuff was on TV.
A Fib is the perfect way to describe this interview.
I don't know the truth. what are the biggest lies?
Corbin Drake That’s funny
I miss the golden age of wrestling. We need the attitude and drama back.
I feel u buff I've struggled with drugs since I was 16 looking back anxiety and not knowing how to deal with it caused me to fall into a bad place
Buff is STILL the Stuff
Wow on his birthday. Nice.
The audio levels are more JACKED than Buff. Lol. Good interview though. Love The Stuff.
Buff was over…entertaining & funny af..respect bro glad he sober & doing better 💪
Good interview..I've always been a buff fan since day one ...such a SHAME wwe didn't give a chance he had a lot to offer
.. much respect hope all the best for buff an Vince
Buff is still The Stuff
Buff should have stayed on WWE. They really messed up. They could have done something good with him.
Not really. None of the WWE fans liked him. He was booed by the entire arena during his WWE debut.
I agree. I think they missed the ball on having a great heel in Buff Bagwell.
You loved to hate the guy and and would have been a credible threat during the invasion. And after that, he could have teamed up with Steiner again for a monster tag run.

It's sad that WCW went under.
¡I respect vince russo because he has done a lot, for WCW monday night wars! My favorite pro wrestlers are buff bagwell, scott steiner, rey mysterio, sting and sid vicious in WCW. 👍
Back in 2001 I was excited to see Buff and Booker not Shane Helms or the other low carders. And then WWE fucked up
WWE dropped the ball with Buff
I used to be a hardcore wrestling fan in the 70's to early 2002
Now it's just pure garbage
damn you old lol
Jim Ross screwed Buff Bagwell. Never forget.
Buff loves Buff
Buff is Buff’s biggest fan
i think the flood of talent at the time 2001 just made him look less than what he truly was ( a wcw legend ).
Buff was so good he didn't even need to wrestle
Love hearing sides of wrestling talk from anyone, Big Plus if they actually worked it
Now Shane Helms talks like a 1970s pimp from Tennessee
I was a teen in the late nineties and Buff really was tough and the stuff . How wwe screwed him over was almost unforgivable because not only did wwe fu*k Buff over , the wwe fu*ked us fans over most of all by doing so. Buff had everything apart from some important peoples loyalty and it was sad
God bless all the attics out there
Love Buff he should have been given a chance in the WWF
Addicts always blame anything or anyone but themselves.
Hey fuck u pussy!!...got me so pissed off I'm going 2 get hi!!!thanks allot!....no really thanks.
Why who did he blame it on I must of missed that part
I know I’m late on this interview but it’s 🔥💯
I’m listening to this while driving. I keep hearing a thumping and I panicked my new tires were flat. But it turned out to be Vince tapping on the f&@$ing microphone 🎤
This just happened to me 😂
Damn man
Hold on a minute here . He said he was at 25 Loritabs and 40 somas a day …. Seriously think about those amounts .
I'm buff I'm the stuff and the girls just can't get enough! I enjoyed watching buff's matches and promo's were pretty good too!
I adore Bagwell. Huge fan of his and while I’m not saying he would have been a Rock/Austin type of star, he definitely could have filled a solid role for WWE in their mid card for at least a couple of years. I think if he even had a somewhat decent 2 year run with WWE, his career would have benefitted greatly from it.
“BRO”
Russo needs Jason Sensation as a co host
That would be Pure Gold, instead of having that annoying Disco Inferno who sounds like Ernie from Sesame Street (Bert & Ernie) *lol*
Exactly lol
Just watched the Booker / Buff match again. Honestly, it wasn't that bad. It didnt have a main event feel, but the execution was okay for the measly 5 minutes they were given (with no storyline and no buildup).
The problem is that the way it was booked in the WCW vs WWF era is that this was essentially a heel vs heel match and the crowd wasn't involved, so it felt more boring than it actually was. And because of the way this was promoted, it wasn't heel heat, but legitimate disdain for these 2 "outsiders". They were put in an impossible situation.
Now Buff may have been a freaking prick backstage, and maybe he deserved to get fired for that, I don't know, but that match wasn't the sole reason.
The entire arena booed both booker T and buff. They were shouting "Boring Boring". It was quite embarrassing!!
The video has the same quality as his "booking".
He was my favorite wrestler... I bought a Colorado Buffaloes hat in 1998 that had Buff on it and wore it until I lost it. He could have been more, 6"3 250, and had the promos as well as the look.. did he say i never used Roids but heart doctor said he knew.. if he's full of shit I don't give af, he's still my all time fav...
Buff has given the same answers to the same questions for years, but the contract numbers keep changing. 🤦🏻♂️
At 1:33:00, doesn't matter why he was let go. If they really wanted to keep him, they would have. At 2:00:00, for a second chance, you need an "in" (inside friend, connection). Hope they put him on Impact.
So his addiction is because of fellow wrestlers like sting and sleep apnea. The dui x 5 is sleep apnea. The accident is a seizure issue. I mean he seems genuine but when someone is that arrogant they just cant come to any type of negative conclusion when ot involves themself.
He telling u exactly what happened he didn't blame anyone, every drug addict was given there first pill wtf
Can’t believe Vince passed on the next Rock or Austin…..
Listen, I don't know Buff obviously, but I do believe him, as it pertains to him saying that the Sleep Apnea caused him to become an addict. I know too many people that suffer from Sleep Apnea, & I can understand what he's saying. However, I don't believe he was taking "A Soma." EVERY Pro Wrestler that was hooked on Soma's, & talked about taking them, & their addiction phase, was taking 10 + & more often than not, 10 or more was taken at once to start with lol. I have taken 2 at a time probably 20 or more yrs ago, thus causing me to coin the phrase "Soma Comma!" I'd never heard that phrase B4, but regardless if I coined the phrase or not, is neither here nor there lol
its all from the" HEART" I put my hat on them! ...lol
Buff was such a momas boy and we all are us men but he takes the biscuit
Russo is the lost sock of humanity
Lolol is that a compliment or insult??
Why couldnt buff come back today? Hed make a great mouth piece for stroman...or aop...
Id drop a hundred for a tape of bagwell walking out explaining that he'd been fired and crying because he realized he was suddenly a nobody lmao
Buff... bro plz stop trying so hard to put yourself over man if u do good things for other people it will get noticed.. its okay man its okay
New drinking game...”blue chipper”
Do we take somas with said drink?
APizzle90 Gotta ask moms permission first
The Real wooooooo
In the back of my mind back in 1998 and 1999 I always thought to myself why is Jim Ross all over Austin's nuts? Just because he's the man? Now listening to his story I feel Jim Ross is shady as fuck to certain people. I did hear the story about Buff's mom calling the WWF from Jim Ross. That's a bullshit story. Even if she did call so fucking what?
1:58:24 The next question is why? Especially when so many others didn't.
Russo has a unique style of story telling...it fills toilets quite nicely...
Who's mind did this blow.
Self medicating to a diagnosis that hasn't been figured out yet is the reason why a lot of people become addicts.
Buff shoulda been wcw champ atleast once....for god sakes david arquette was champ.lol
Vince’s man objective was to try to make himself the next Vince in WCW. He thought he was the star.
so many adbreak's ... really like Bagwell but his voice 😨 so annoying.
I had to see if Vince had a show slash podcast. Not that I would ever waste my time listening to it. I have better things to do with my time. I would sooner read green eggs and ham continuously for 8 hours than listen to this goof for 10 minutes.
As a wrestler he was the stuff. As a person lol,. Me being a recovering addict, he is a joke.
BRO,
Never liked Lex Luger like when he left the ring cause bruiser was putting big hands to him...in my book he was a big baby
Considering he's nicknamed 'Buff' he sure has weak looking biceps in the thumbnail pic, I thought it was leg day you skipped not biceps...
1:53:56
Buff was probably wcws most promising prospect heading into the invasion...that probably put a ugh target on his back...and buff probably got while the getting was good...
I have never meet you in real life will you send me a picture of your family.
Buff was a difficult person. This is why he didn’t last at wwf/wwe . Thinks he is the shit . Star power went to his head. His career was done once WCW was bought by WWE . Always blaming everyone else
I remember buff made nwo seem even more sinister as he whould laugh and carry on , no matter how evil they got...i think buff made ok moments better ...
Buff never shuts up lol I know this is an interview but damn.
Says doesnt want to waist time. Keeps talking forever. And to say that buff could be as good as rock austin and cena is fust fucking crazy
Wwf
Captain caveman
He contradicted himself on roids. I wonder if he caught that. I dont like how he comes off as very insincere.
Bagwell was a good talent in WCW, but not as great as he makes himself out to be...his best stuff was the work he did with Scott Steiner
kirkangel525 but in the end scott steiner betrayed him and threw him out of the nwo wolfpack
kirkangel525 that's why buff bag well has nothing to do with him anymore
@@chriszimmerman4141 I'm sure you do realize that Steiner booting Buff from NWO was just an angle. I suppose that there are a LOT of fans in the wrestling world that still think that every feud was "real" and all of the stories are 'real-life' I guess that just reiterates that there are a LOT of wrestling fans that aren't very bright and very naive. Wrestling, no matter what company, is literally "Sports-Entertainment" and basically is the same concept of a "Travelling-Carnival" where for the most part, all of the men & women are, for a lack of better words, Friends as well as co-workers. Sure there was a few 'bad-apples' in the group but they all usually discuss their matches with each-other and go over what moves etc they will be doing against each-other. These 'matches' are basically choreographed ahead of time in order for the wrestlers squaring off against each-other to try and make sure that they work a decent match, 'save' each-other from serious injuries and try to sell their matches as being "real" and judging by the fans reactions a lot of fans completely buy into the match as something that is a 'real-life' feud etc. This is good however, because if these wrestlers make the audience buy into it and become engaged in the match, then the wrestlers did their job by selling each-other as legit adversaries. Basically, a lot of these wrestlers are GREAT actors!! It seems that the wrestling rosters of 'today' aren't as focused on the promos as the wrestlers of back then were. There are some exceptions of wrestlers that can't cut a promo to save their life! There was a time that Roman Reigns was absolutely awful at doing promos and the ones that do the promos are supposed to lead the fan to believe what they are saying, these are the wrestlers that usually get the biggest 'push', an example of a coupla guys that can't do or rarely do promos, guys like Cesaro or Finn Balor, and theres plenty more, that rarely do promos simply because they are terrible at it! Ric Flair was probably the best at doing promos. Funny, believable and full of energy and speaking off the cuff and improvising. "Rolex wearing, limousine riding and private jet flying son-of-a-gun!! "'Whether you like it or you dont like it, its the hottest thing goin today!"' Ric is just as much as a legend as Hulk Hogan, in fact, I think Ric is more of a legend than Hogan. Hogan was what they call a 'gimmick-wrestler', less than a handful of moves and not knowing a wristlock over a wristwatch!!
Buff be lying his ass off
Bagwell beat everything except being a Perpetual liar.
He refers to himself in the 3rd person constantly, he was a junky, was never great in the ring, never great on the mic. Hmm, I wonder why he never made it.
Hey mo facko what was the company u scouted talent 4?..no not a scout? K well u must b a worker?..o no?that's right bitch u couldn't get over 2 set up a ring!Bagwell was a good worker n 1 of the best on the stick n the biz, probably top five talkers of his era!n u must mean n the wwe win u ask bout him make'n it,cuz n the south they all ways new buff was the stuff.vince didnt invent the biz....o n 1 more thing the 3rd person thing is cuz be was playing a role on tv,actors dont use there characters name.whats the difference?
Buff bagwell was let go cause his terrible attitude. Not to mention he wasn’t worth having
