Release Fuel Pressure Before Opening Fuel Lines BMW E34

Before opening fuel lines, you need to release fuel pressure inside them. This is how I do it in my car, this would apply to most other vehicles. You start the engine and turns off the pump while engine running so that the engine uses up fuel that was pumped. Turning off made possible by pulling out the respective fuse.
This saves you from potential fuel jet-outs when opening lines. Please know what you are doing before trying, you need basic knowledge to get into this domain. Sharing for the DIY mech.

hey i have a 525i that won’t start my fuel pump works i have spark but i don’t know what’s wrong with it

1. Check fuel filter and see if petrol coming to the front fuel rail
2. Check fuel pressure and regulator
3. check injectors - you might want to clean them
4. Check MAF sensor - the sensor after the air filter

Same exact thing with me, after replacing the fuel filter, my car won’t start, I should mention that the fuel line was cut without doing any of this, and and I think there is now air in the fuel line, idk how to bleed the air out 😢
