I just looked up Milady. She basically lies, tricks, seduces, and murders men for revenge, power, and money. Its ironic that, with Milady's background of marrying one of the three musketeers Athos, who was Milady's first husband, that Haru wears a musketeer's outfit. Could this irony be that Haru will be faithful to whomever she marries, yet she rebels against her own father?
I don't know if Atlus put too much thought into the fact that Milady de Winter is a VILLAIN in Three Musketeers. She's a pretty horrible person. I think they just liked the idea of a Musketeer design for Haru, and...well..Milady IS the most famous female character from that book, even if she's one of the bad guys.
MrMrMrprofessor People view Haru as a liar, most likely because of her father. That’s reflected in her outfit and Persona. The whole point of the costumes and Personas is so that they take off the mask that society gives them. That’s why she literally takes off the mask on her suit to summon her Persona.
To anyone having trouble in this Palace: For the first part of the dungeon (collecting ID cards), make sure to always have Ann and Morgana in your party as the little robots in this section are weak to wind and fire so eliminating them is your first priority before you attack the main chief of the fight. Make sure you are always using skills that begin with "Ma," since they attack multiple foes at once. When you take out the smaller robots, the chief will repeatedly summon one, while he is doing this you want to always take it out so he's stuck in an endless cycle of summoning a robot while your other two party members are focusing on damaging him. Second part (dealing with the moving pads, along with the 30 second time limit), make sure to at least eliminate the mobs that block your way otherwise you will just end up getting attacked, and ambushed while sprinting to your next pad. This part is fairly easy since there are no real robots to deal with. Third part (reaching the end of the pads, and encountering the small golden robots similar to the one from the first part), make sure to bring Yusuke along as these robots in particular are weak to ice. Every turn he will hit their weak point which will cause him to engage in constant +1 more moves, making it very easy to deal with these foes. Fourth (airport flying, or whatever), I have nothing for this since I pretty much figured it out on my own with a bit of backtracking. Fifth (boss fight), for this all you need to remember the color of the robots so you can make out what they are weak to. I don't remember what the tall red and blue robots were weak to, but I know the giant, green one is weak to Psy? The fight after that will be the executive chief, keep in mind that this specific boss has no real weakness (or I don't think it does since I never hit a weak spot on it), and actually takes time to beat with patience. After you fight him, you will finally face-off Okumura who can be defeated in 1-2 turns. A lot of people here probably finished the Palace but I just wanted to throw that out there, good luck. :)
Define "sweatshop": A factory where workers are employed at a very low wage and work long hours under poor conditions. That fits this Palace and the ruler pretty well. Almost too well.
i already knew this, but reading this and not thniking it makes me wanna cry. (keep in mind my empathy is super low) I mean can you blame me? Persona 5 is deep af.
Do you know what’s especially scary about Okumura’s palace (Aside from the difficulty, amirite)? The cognition of Haru’s fiancé is literally no different from the real life version of him. Okumura _knew_ how awful he was, and yet he intended on selling Haru off to him anyway. That scene alone made me hate him.
Okumura before his change of heart is literally one of the worst fathers one can be. He didn't even view Haru as a person, only as an asset that he could employ any way he wanted.
I think they went for the full atmosphere thing here. Since the shadows come from how Okumura sees his workers, of course most of them will be a lot more used to physical stuff if working so hard physically is the norm for them. Things like that are why I actually really like this palace loads. Or why you've gotta go through just mobs and mobs of enemy shadows. Okumura sees them as expendable and replenishable. Sounds a bit counterintuitive, but the fact that the palace furthered the theme of Okumura so much, it's got its memorable and sensible parts cause of it
Miguel Carvalho Is not really that bad, in fact is one of my favorite because of the ambience, I think that the principal reason why People hate so much this palace, are the enemies of this palace.
One of my fondest moments of this game was when I first entered Okumura’s dungeon and this theme started playing...it was 3am, nobody was awake....and I got up and danced shamelessly for a good 10 minutes.
In this Palace right now. I don't know how I feel about the gimmicks so far, but the idea of us exploring a SPACE STATION is super cool to me, and this music sets the theme. It's a very neat setting.
@@egg8404this banger of a theme must have been put in Okumura's Palace because the devs knew it was going to be even more suffering than it already is otherwise. I may lose half of my mind, but at least I get to listen to some dang good beats while Im losing it.
She kinda was though. 1. Senpai 2. Empress Arcana 3. Filthy rich, inherits a business 4. Engaged to a guy she doesn't want to marry, can get together with MC instead 5. Father is killed by the traitor
I feel like Haru is a sadist underneath the fluffy exterior. Her comments in Mementos has convinced me of that, and seeing the background of her initial persona Milady, I can only fathom the thought of Akira enduring hell if he romances with her, since the confidant explanation says that he becomes her new fiance.
"The treasure is just passed this door" (or something similar to that quote) Oh man the false sense of hope Persona 5 gave me. Despite that being said a couple of times I still believed it was true so it hurt more when I was hit with airlock puzzles. Even though i could come back another day refreshed but you know once I enter I don't come out until ive secured the route to the treasure. it would be an inconvenience to the time I need to spend with confidants
This is probably my favorite palace theme so far. I liked the palace, but that Morgana troll moment kind of got me. "The treasure's right through this door!" *Had to make three more long trips and bring SP drinks*
My only complaint about this palace is that this one was the only one that didn't take place in a classic heist location. Palaces like the castle and the art gallery (I'll avoid pointing out the later ones to avoid spoilers) are usually targets in heists and fit well with the gentleman thief motif. This one was really out there and didn't fit well with the rest of the game. I did like the puzzles though.
There's a reason why it didn't seem like it fit with the rest of the game. That's a story spoiler though, considering what happens when you beat this palace, and all the things you learn about the palace owner, and the reason why they are the target that's chosen. The game throws this palace as a curveball because that's its purpose, to throw you off. It fulfills its role perfectly and the game doesn't ever suffer from it, it's so good how the game plays out.
I agreed with that at first when reading it, but given the music, the space station, and the gentleman theif theme...It gave me a Cowboy Bebop feel. The Shadow costume RUINED IT, but I would argue that it could be an homage to all the sci-fi tropes where they make Space Westerns...even Trigun could fit in that category. Youre right, the execution was kinda garbage. Anticlimactic for the end... But listen to this and then Cowboy Bebop Jupiter Jazz.. I think this is what they were after
Soulnfinity Stealing the Death Star plans??? there's lots on theivery of the Empire in star wars. Okumura is a clearly dart Vader (altered voice and lite Brite chest.)
Haru telling about the abuse and neglect she has faced and coming to reconcile with that as well with how awful her father really is. The background music absolutely going off!
This Palace may get a lot of hate for how tedious and unforgiving it can be if you're not prepared (don't even get me STARTED on the boss fight), but you cannot deny that this theme absolutely SLAPS.
Shawn Peterson Yeah imo the space station aspect was really cool and I enjoyed the air lock puzzles, if only for the fact that you were floating through space.
The only thing I really didn't like were the massive amounts of physical resistant enemies. The puzzles were some of the best in the game and the music is amazing.
Tora Kyte Oh god yeah, ran out of sp really quickly in this one, I think this was around the first time I actually needed to swap out my party members.
I absolutely adore Haru, but she was introduced much too late for her to be useful. I didn't have enough time to finish her confidant, and I didn't have time to properly max her out. I used Ryuji and Makoto, and Haru's gun skills complimented the team nicely. But she was just underpowered (on NG+ when you don't have to worry about social stats, she's a lot better). So when Akechi joined the party I was really fucking happy, he was of a great power level, and his Bless, Curse, and Almighty skills worked perfectly. But we all know how that turned out...
Jamie Metcalfe Seriously ,Akechi was OP as hell. I wish he had stayed for a longer time so it wouldn't arouse suspicions of him that easily. Would love to have used Robin Hood more than I did!
I felt like every time I used him, he wouls die from a stray mudo skill. Especially when I went farming in mementos, I would have to revive his butt. And that's why you never have a weakness to hama/mudo skills, kids.
You mean the part where you find out that Akechi was pure evil? That he doesn't deserve respect, symparthy, empathy, or even forgiveness? Yes! Akechi deserved to die in the end, after all the people he killed, including Oracle's mom and Noir's dad. And no, Shido is just a client, Akechi is the hitman directly responsible for the murders.
Honestly...I've been through Tartarus. And I've played Persona 1. AND I compulsively breed Pokemon for perfect IVs and ev train them. For hundreds of hours at a time. This dungeon is nowhere near tedious.
Mannequin Victoria Chase Its not just that, people usually go physical because it has more mileage when it comes to clearing dungeons quickly due to SP costs of healing < SP cost of attack magic So being forced to use attack magic more often than not makes the dungeon artificially longer (and note that alot of people already found it tedious with its puzzles and navigation)
XxKyKiske2007xX the only bad part of the casino one was the panels and dark Maze Imo. Some of the ideas were really cool. Maybe I just love casino levels...
At first, this palace’s boss fight was an absolute hell to go through, but now that I think about it, it succeeded in one thing: making me use other parts of the battle system. I never really played any turn based RPGs other than Pokémon so I was used to just attacking everything and anything in my way, but the limitations applied on the boss fight made me use items in battle, both stat items and battle items. Truly a game changer that made the rest of the game easier and more enjoyable for me
The problem with the boss fight is that you get pretty much NO indication that it's coming. There's nothing that trains you for it-you have to learn how to abuse the Baton Pass mechanic by yourself. And if you don't have the resources or knowledge to properly do that, God help you.
Okumura's boss fight was among the best in the game as it actually demanded you to think about your moves. People be blasting Okumura's palace and boss fight when Kaneshiro exists.
@@ProfessorGopher2030i mean it very easy if you know how to do but a 30 minutes remain is a stupid thing, even if you strategy but if time over ? I play in Hard Mode for the first play and it give me 💩 while take so long to fight all their robot.
Well,if we're getting technical here, the guy was just using the food industry as a stepping stone to get into politics. So he didn't exactly care about his company anymore.
This is why the dungeon emotionally disturbed me so much. The analogies it uses can be applied strongly to real-world counterparts, try as I may not to dwell on it or on what world we live in >_< It's why I appreciated this game so much more, though.
Playing through all this in Persona 5 Royal, I knew what to expect. I still kept falling for Morgana's "The treasure is just right past this door". Thank god the Will Seeds restore SP

I thought this palace was gonna be absolute hell based on what I heard for so long, but it was pretty fun It was the shortest, enemies were the same for all of it, so they weren't hard to deal with and the boss actually made me think for once in this game. Took me three tries, but felt like the most fun battle I had so far
@@ProfessorGopher2030 Yeah! This fight feels like it was just meant to be taken in one way and only one way only. That Airlock part... Actually, i wanted to go into the airlock part of the palace ever since i saw it in trailers. It was the part of the game i waited for since beginning of playing it. ...I kinda loved it.
I saw everyone complaining about this palace before getting to it. When I finally got there, I was like "alright, let's see what everyone's complaining about" And it wasn't bad at all. I enjoyed this palace and I find it way more memorable than Kaneshiro's and Futaba's.
The Palace itself isn't that bad at all. Granted, it can be a bit of a long haul, especially if you're not prepared. It's the boss fight, specifically in Royal, that tends to be the tipping point.

I shudder too think what might off turn into if she dint join the phantom thieves
S Manly
And let’s not forget that Haru has sadistic tendencies..
VenomLeon she does make a flowerbed on the roof of their school, though
To anyone having trouble in this Palace:
For the first part of the dungeon (collecting ID cards), make sure to always have Ann and Morgana in your party as the little robots in this section are weak to wind and fire so eliminating them is your first priority before you attack the main chief of the fight.
red is weak to lighting and blue is weak to wind.

Define "sweatshop":
A factory where workers are employed at a very low wage and work long hours under poor conditions.
That fits this Palace and the ruler pretty well. Almost too well.

Yeah exactly and I’d that didn’t hammer the point enough cognitive haru was a fucking robot that KILLS herself in his boss fight in royAl
@@frostycane5134he sees her as a means to an end
Damn
And if you're playing Royal, the boss fight will make you hate him even more with how hard it can get (I heard it's a bit easier in vanilla)
Okumura deserved to die.
Okumura before his change of heart is literally one of the worst fathers one can be. He didn't even view Haru as a person, only as an asset that he could employ any way he wanted.
Haru has more screentime in this video than she does in the entire game
A curse all final party members in Persona games seem to bear. :(
Luigi in SPM got the same treatment.
Haru is in the shitty position of being one of the last Phantom Thieves we recruit. That means her storyline stays unfinished quite often.
This dungeon depressed me
why
that was 9 months ago
The_Gamer-V2 that was 3 days ago
The_Gamer-V2 so what?
agree
I think they went for the full atmosphere thing here. Since the shadows come from how Okumura sees his workers, of course most of them will be a lot more used to physical stuff if working so hard physically is the norm for them. Things like that are why I actually really like this palace loads. Or why you've gotta go through just mobs and mobs of enemy shadows. Okumura sees them as expendable and replenishable. Sounds a bit counterintuitive, but the fact that the palace furthered the theme of Okumura so much, it's got its memorable and sensible parts cause of it
probably important enough to note that the corporobos are actually cognitions, and not shadows
This palace really made you feel like one of the workers by being an absolute chore
i dont care what others say about sweatshop/okumura's palace, this shit SLAPS
This one pretty darn catchy
when you grind this palace and you’re in it for too long, this theme becomes HEADACHE INDUCING.

This theme gets so much hate. But those synths and synth bass are just PHENOMENAL!!!
Is not the theme that gets hate, is the palace that's in that taints it. Cuz i haven't gotten to this place yet and I'm vibing
First thing I thought about this music when I first entered the Palace is that it’s awesome.
I mean it aint kaneshiro’s palace theme (price) but it still goes hard

this theme slaps and i’m tired of pretending it doesn’t.
Agree
I saw Haru in the trailer and thought she would be like Mitsuru but no. She's a little bean
i wish tho
She’s got the sadism to pull off a Mitsuru Execution under all of that fluff.
She kinda was though.
1. Senpai
2. Empress Arcana
3. Filthy rich, inherits a business
4. Engaged to a guy she doesn't want to marry, can get together with MC instead
Fiance, lover, who cares, if she's happy, then I'm happy
"NEVER ANNOY WOMAN WITH A AXE"
"The treasure is just passed this door" (or something similar to that quote) Oh man the false sense of hope Persona 5 gave me. Despite that being said a couple of times I still believed it was true so it hurt more when I was hit with airlock puzzles. Even though i could come back another day refreshed but you know once I enter I don't come out until ive secured the route to the treasure. it would be an inconvenience to the time I need to spend with confidants
as soon as i saw the door puzzle i put the game down wnet to bed and said maybe next week
This is probably my favorite palace theme so far. I liked the palace, but that Morgana troll moment kind of got me.
"The treasure's right through this door!"
*Had to make three more long trips and bring SP drinks*
You could argue they are robbing a major coorporation and that's very heist-like. Put the sci-fi elements out and it still someone fits.
Soulnfinity a top secret base is a classic the if trope. Have you watched Mission impossible?
Okumura is a clearly dart Vader (altered voice and lite Brite chest.)
this theme and palace do not deserve the hate!! the space theme and design are so sick and this hard synth beat goes off!!
Haru telling about the abuse and neglect she has faced and coming to reconcile with that as well with how awful her father really is.
The background music absolutely going off!
Maybe the entire palace is a metaphor for what the workers have to go through every day. Mundane a choir and a real annoyance
Okumura’s Palace
Pros:
- Haru
- It’s in Space!
Cons:
- Everything Else
Cons: It’s in space.
Pros-
This theme.
Con: WASTING SP
This Palace may get a lot of hate for how tedious and unforgiving it can be if you're not prepared (don't even get me STARTED on the boss fight), but you cannot deny that this theme absolutely SLAPS.
This music is so grating to my ears and actually gives me a headache sometimes, but for some reason I come back to it every now and then.
Unpopular opinion but this is one of my favorite palace themes
You’re not alone. That said, I honestly love them all
I seem to be one of the few that actually enjoyed this palace.
I did too it was fun!
Shawn Peterson Yeah imo the space station aspect was really cool and I enjoyed the air lock puzzles, if only for the fact that you were floating through space.
pk100 I like it because of how it set the story afterwards
The only thing I really didn't like were the massive amounts of physical resistant enemies. The puzzles were some of the best in the game and the music is amazing.
Tora Kyte Oh god yeah, ran out of sp really quickly in this one, I think this was around the first time I actually needed to swap out my party members.
Playing through this dungeon was easily one of the most stressful things I've ever done.
It seriously gave me a real headache around the half of it.
I would have you know that pancakes are a wonderful thing.
I know what happened, he went to go eat those *thicc* and delicious pancakes
After having to deal with a thousand Anubis’s in the last palace, this one was a joke.
So you too were grinding for the Eternal Lockpick, it appears
oh yea, Fuck those guys.
Honestly...I've been through Tartarus. And I've played Persona 1.
AND I compulsively breed Pokemon for perfect IVs and ev train them. For hundreds of hours at a time.
This dungeon is nowhere near tedious.
Dungeon isn't hard, maybe the casino one because it was long as hell.
You mean Teddieous
this dungeon was so much fun, it was the best one imo
Mannequin Victoria Chase Its not just that, people usually go physical because it has more mileage when it comes to clearing dungeons quickly due to SP costs of healing < SP cost of attack magic
So being forced to use attack magic more often than not makes the dungeon artificially longer (and note that alot of people already found it tedious with its puzzles and navigation)
XxKyKiske2007xX the only bad part of the casino one was the panels and dark Maze Imo. Some of the ideas were really cool. Maybe I just love casino levels...
Absolutely my favorite palace hands down. Favorite puzzles in the game.
Amazing theme, mediocre dungeon in comparison.
I wish they could have given Haru a little more spotlight.
agreed wholeheartedly, haru had so much potential
But Haru is hot though.
XxKyKiske2007xX yeah I mean look at those melons the way they are placed
Now I have not gotten that far into the game yet, but I heard that her Persona had two phases. Thats where the spotlight went I think,.
Personally I wish that the enemies were less of a pain to fight
so many resist phys/gun skills, it forces you to waste SP for a lot of fights
Fuck his fight, I used harus triple shot on okumura once it was finally his turn.
Granted, Okumura can be easily blown through if you know what to do. But if you don't…you better get comfortable with those robots.
@@ProfessorGopher2030i mean it very easy if you know how to do but a 30 minutes remain is a stupid thing, even if you strategy but if time over ? I play in Hard Mode for the first play and it give me 💩 while take so long to fight all their robot.
the main good thing about this dungeon: it's music is FANTASTIC.
Good soundtrack for my gym workout
Nice. I might do that as well as a matter of fact...
i find it weird how a restaurant company is a dungeon
Well,if we're getting technical here, the guy was just using the food industry as a stepping stone to get into politics. So he didn't exactly care about his company anymore.
This is why the dungeon emotionally disturbed me so much. The analogies it uses can be applied strongly to real-world counterparts, try as I may not to dwell on it or on what world we live in >_< It's why I appreciated this game so much more, though.
Wendy's too She totally went Savage!
PrinceNakasuki sounds like someone needs a change of heart ;)
Well Okumura views the restaurant as a dungeon
Almost everyone hates this palace, but you can't deny that this soundtrack is straight fire
“The treasure is just up ahead!” Morgana said 7 hours before reaching the treasure.
Suddenly, this became Wild Guns... in outer space.
This is a good thing.
I should stop reading comments while sipping my coffee or my screen will pay for it.
Where'd you get the coffee, Leblanc?
I've heard this for 12 minutes and I AM NOT TIRED OF IT.

Me when I make it to the fifth palace: "This is coolest thing I've ever heard!!!"

All I can imagine is a GIF of every party member rave dancing to this song.
Loved this dungeon and the theme feels like your in a rave.
I honestly think this track really fits with the palace. I like it.
Yuki Yuhi It really does!
once I start listening to this I don't think I can ever stop listening.
I thought this palace was gonna be absolute hell based on what I heard for so long, but it was pretty fun
It was the shortest, enemies were the same for all of it, so they weren't hard to deal with and the boss actually made me think for once in this game. Took me three tries, but felt like the most fun battle I had so far
Just beat Royal last week and okumura's boss fight went from a breeze, to making me want to take a bullet to the brain
I can relate. I had to grind 10 levels to make it through. At least Cognitive Haru was very easy
Okumura's fight is a complete joke if you know what to do. If you don't, it becomes the worst godforsaken thing ever programmed by a human being.
@@ProfessorGopher2030 Yeah! This fight feels like it was just meant to be taken in one way and only one way only. If you try to use any other strat you just can't get past this fight at all almost like most of the secret bosses in persona style. It doesn't help that the robots have higher health compared to the ones you fight before.
This was so dope that I jammed it out with this song when I first heard it!

It was the part of the game i waited for since beginning of playing it.

I saw everyone complaining about this palace before getting to it. When I finally got there, I was like "alright, let's see what everyone's complaining about"
And it wasn't bad at all.
One of my favorite places. I really loved cyber punk space theme, robots, and future setting that was different from the others. Plus the music fits it very well and was a good challenge.
