I fish for sheepers often here in Tx. Theyre on fire right now. I love taking my boat to dowks/jettys and use a 10 foot carp pole - no reel. Just a crab or live shrimp on. Man you get a 20" on and youre in a fight. Getting back to basics. Great fun. But can only use the method in right conditions. Depth/where youre fishing. You know what I mean.
Yes I know what you mean. I’ve love to try a cane pole at the rigs but just haven’t brought it out with me yet. I hear them Texas jetties get pretty stacked as well. Sounds like fun
@@CaptCollier it’s not just Mobile area either. We went in Mobile over spring break and crushed them. Went again off Grand Isle, LA about a week ago and crushed them again. Average size was just like Y’all…. 19-20” quit fishing after an hour and a half both times because I didn’t want to clean any more than what we had.
You should try to colaberate with bama beach bum. It would help your subs for sure. You are entertaining and video quality is getting better with each video. Maybe get him on for the king migration. You both would get in some good videos.

Oh yea, I usually have a couple setups rigged and ready to go. Them big sheeps will mess up even the strongest of hooks if they get it in their mouth just right
I've always enjoyed catching sheepheads they put up a nice fight especially snagging them lol. I used to catch them to sell to mostly black people when I fished D.I .fishing pier on the weekends they use to bring me $100 to $150 a night but if they come back on the next weekend & the same people I just give it to them for free.
