I hope the P-8 crews are selected to be tough, and not intimidated by Chinese aircraft flying close to them, and if there is a collision the P-8 will not land on Chinese soil at any cost, unlike in 2001.
***** We are building island in our yard, lol, what can u do except HAHAHA? I think u should bring some present with u if u want to come visite, lol ^-^
I used to fly Maritime Air Patrol / ASW missions in P-3s in VP-6 (decommissioned in 94) in 77-80 and VP-01 82-87 in these same areas shown here but the Chinese had not completed the build ups that they have now. Good to see the P-8. Hope to get a chance to tour one at NAS Whidbey when they get here.
Even as a non Frenchman i didnt like it, a dirty non victorious win, like when the best almighty fighter is outdone at the last minute illegally by being hit from behind and outnumbered against the rules. Viva Napoleon. He still was the better fighter. I guess unfortunately thats why there is no glory in War, its win at all costs no matter how dirty and twisted you bend the rules. The Unsavory side of the business of WAR. SO Avoid it at all costs unless absolutely necessary. And if necessary make sure you have as much inside info as you could ever have mustered up. Go the P8.
Ah right I was thinking of USAF rank, forgot the P8 flies in the Navy. I heard recently that the lower rank flies in the left seat as it's easier because that pilot has a HUD.
Its an air duct. It pulls cold air from outside the aircraft into the equipment racks. The red stripe is a silicone rubber flexible joint. You can see in a bit more detail here: ruclips.net/video/HFjbAsdQVg4/видео.html
They are all wearing Bose headphones. I had two sets fall apart on me because the headphones are mostly plastic. Never again will I trust Bose. Only metal headphones.
+Zyth Music It's owned by the Navy not the Air Force. However, it is a modified 737-800. It's the base of the 738 but it has the wings of a 739 which also has the raked wing tips like the 787/ 777-200LR/ 747-8.
Strengthened airframe for flying low, torpedo bomb bays, radar... The kc135 tanker are 707’s the kc10 are dc10s the kc46 are 767’s the p3 orion was an old passenger plane modified.... yes they repurpose certain airframes which is smart. The new tanker the kc46 is a modified 767. Why create a whole nnew plane just because? The 767 will do fine just like the 707 did. Keeps costs down and parts availability high. No reason to build a whole new plane just to put a boom on or in this case why not use the 737 design... Did you not realize the awacs, e8’s, kc135 are 707’s?
Philippines. Close to the Philippines and hundreds of nautical miles away from China and its water boundaries. Chinese greed and probably war strategy; which is why the US is tracking all of the territorial incursions and illegal conquest of islands by China. All Southeast Asian nations are displeased with China's war mongering attitude and constant harrassment.
P8 a 220 million plane replacing a 50 million one and yet cannot do job as well. They even left off the mad boom to save money the version India is buying has it guess they can afford it.

So same question by the President of the Philippines: so, why didn't you stop the Chinese building artificial island in the Philippine jurisdiction? Why are you in in Clark air base? If you can't protect Philippines GTFO and go home. You are wasting time.
First of all, I'd like to say I am a huge fan of your videos! I love the beauty of engineering. In this particular occassion, I say bravo for PLA Navy! The era of US domination and bullying around the globe is nearing an end. Plus look at the mess US left in Liby, Egypt and Syria... Truly sickening, in which part was that positive intervention?!
danied thank you for the BEAUTIFUL language used in your reply. every word used is a reflection of your social class, education and sadness of your life. just let it out, let it out, I bet it is hard for you to get some internet time.
That is some serious posturing by the PLA Navy.
I hope the P-8 crews are selected to be tough, and not intimidated by Chinese aircraft flying close to them, and if there is a collision the P-8 will not land on Chinese soil at any cost, unlike in 2001.
Wonkabar007 Don't worry, after they die, they will be tough and stiff. lol

+Zhou Sophie LOL! That was funny. I remember that Chinese pilot did just that.
One bump one kill
As always, yet another great contribution from AIRBOYD. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome!... we have just taken delivery of the P-8A for our RNZAF.. thanks from NZ 👍✈️🇳🇿
Maybe they're building their very own Saudi Arabia? Resorts, casinos, sandy beaches...? Great video, thanks for sharing!

Wow that Poseidon is heavy, took almost 6 seconds from rotating to wheels off...
As a Frenchman, I feel ashamed to cost you money to keep me safe.
So the least I can do is to say THANK YOU AMERICA
yep we shouldnt forget that the prussians came and took out Napoleon at Waterloo to save the Brits.

I guess that’s why they got the gov’s contract haha

tywang more often than not, countries in the SEA region who often have territory dispute with the PRC view the PRC as the bully
Stuff Turkey
You mean Vietnam and Philippines...
This is an internal issues between these countries. Why would US try to aggravate this problem...
its not internal if its international territory disputes
Keep in patient, China, Time is on our side.
