I applaud you and your determination to make a home for yourself. You're doing great. I had the same problem with my air conditioner. I made some prexy glass panels and taped them with clear tape, looked a lot neater then the carboard and tape that I was using. I will take time, be patient and I'll happily share with you what we are trying to do. We need help with leveling right now, if anyone has any tips.

We moved in our home in 1992. It was not a new home when we moved it. We finished raising our children here. We don't have a lot of money but it is ours. It needs a lot of work. But we are blessed to have a roof over our head and have tried not to live outside our means. I am 68 and my husband is will be 73 in January. We keep it clean and neat and decorated the best of our ability. You will get there, just keep working at it. You have a good head on your shoulders and you will not be one of those people who judge others because of their home.

If you’re not comfortable inviting people over make sure it’s not because you don’t have good friends. If your friends are judging your home that they don’t pay for then maybe find new friends. And if it’s just something about you, just work on the fact that you have more than some people in this world and your home is perfect for you. Your real friends should help you realize that. ❤️
I grew up very poor and remember a time when I would've been so thankful to have the home you have! Is it paid for? If so, take your time and renovate it correctly...make it what you want it to be. My son bought a mobile home, gutted it down to the wall studs, added new insulation, new windows, had to replace a lot of wood and flooring and then he laid the luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout except the bathrooms, and painted throughout. He still has a way to go..and he may add an A Frame with metal roofing in the future..but it's a home and it's his!! Be thankful and be blessed 😊❤❤❤

This is reality in a nutshell. I’m telling you when all my babies were home it was a hot mess most days but they had a hot meal and a nice bath and a warm bed and a roof over their heads and we made many many memories and it was kids sharing bedrooms and ohhh man the giggles I used to listen to when they didn’t even know I could hear them. That’s when you know you are doing something right when your babies can laugh and play and sleep sound that’s all that matters. Keep doin you girl.

I love your home ❤ I just moved into a 70's mobile home. The previous owner did a lovely job of remodeling with drywall, new cabinets and flooring. It still has the "cabin" looking bathroom and unfinished shed/laundry room. It's a single wide and small but it is paid off. Watching your video made me think and appreciate my new simpler life. You are doing better than most 45 year olds clock that tea! I saw nothing u should feel ashamed of u show you are grateful and working on your home. My husband and I lost our new home in2013 I vowed I was so scarred from it BUT GOD! 8 years later we were blessed with a home double the size of the first one. It’s a beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood in fl but I have some cracked tiles and other stuff to replace. We will slowly as we have since we purchased it. I lived here 4/years before being told they want to sell and do we want to purchase. God had put the plan in place in 2016 and I was just being obedient had I not we would have had bad credit, no down payment and other obstacles. Keep up the great work be proud of your accomplishments and continue turning your house into a HOME. It’s beautiful with the minor touches u made already!

Thanks for sharing your home, I live in a mobile home and it’s not brand new, but it’s mine. After renting apartments most of my life it is a blessing to have a home of my own. I have a mortgage and I’m not mad, grateful to say the least. I do what I can to fix it up. DIY’s the $ store, Walmart and Amazon and an occasional yard sale. My home has come a long way. I’m always looking on RUclips for ideas and how to make changes without spending a lot of $. I’m a woman and have learned to change out my toilets, put up canon lights, even purchased some peel and stick tile off of Amazon for half the price among other things. My son was 10 years old when I purchased this place and now he’s 23 and this has been a blessing from the lord. After all these years there are still things that need fixing, slow and steady wins the race. I am content and thankful, God can bless you with something that is all yours, but remember no matter where you live, a mobile home, a brick and mortar home a rental a hotel or motel. It’s never the outside that makes it a home it’s what’s on the inside and I mean the inside of you and me. That’s what truly makes a home. God bless you.
Congratulations on your new baby! My only advice would be declutter. Especially while renovating. Declutter then declutter again then declutter some more. Get it out of the house as soon as possible. You'll have so much more room and it'll feel so much cleaner. Can you eliminate the window AC altogether? Maybe a swamp cooler on top of the house or if funds permit install central AC. Definitely exciting to live mortgage free..
More foam and white tape for the ac and I had a man Cork and install a wood board sealed in, it looked very put together and you can paint it after that. Also heavier curtains on both sides maskes additional details. On the sides and you can frame the curtains higher to the ceiling it brings your eyes up. Also priming and painting and thick vinyl flooring makes a world of a difference house or trailer.

You are so right about being authentic with your home and channel. My hubby I fixed up 2 really old houses. My suggestion is try to finish one room at a time so it gives you a sense of peace. Pull out the non-working dishwasher and store tools/paint cans in that space. You can hide them with a curtain on a tension rod. Good luck 🍀
First time viewer and I would like to start off by saying for just having a baby...you look awesome! I love it. Especially first homes are so special and it is fun fixing things, changing things, etc. It takes time and money and you do like you all are doing and do what you can when you can. I don't know where you live but where I live we have a place called Habitat for Humanity and you can go there are get kitchen, bathroom cabinets, door, sinks. toilets, etc for cheap. We renovated our kitchen here in our "forever home" and we donated all the things plus extra furniture, drapes, etc. Me and my husband have 40+ years on you two young'ens...:) Thank you for the tour. My husband an I took over my dads mobile home, a 1990 skyline, very well made home. So when he got alzheimers ,we remodled everything but his bathroom and his bedroom, so he recognized and was comfortable . We eventually finished the whole house when he passed . Well Covid then my husband died. So I am grateful it was done before he passed . Just so much harder without him, this was supposed to be setting up for our retirement, thank God the home was already paid off. I have lived in mobile homes several times in my 65 years.outside of hurricanes ,but so far this home has stood the test of time.I am grateful I have this home. Its my sanctuary! Keep going you guys will have a very good home made for you and the way you live ,I did my home for the way we lived and so glad I didnt listen to everyone else on how or what we should do!

You can remove the wall strips and put spackling or dry wall mud in them smooth them, sand them paint them, and there won’t be any breaks in your walls.

I just found your RUclips channel. I love your openess and gratitude. As a grandmother of 6 grown children and 7 grandchildren, I find your whole attitude refreshing. I have a 1996 mobile that I bought 14 years ago , it is breaking down and my husband is fixing what he can and as Our Lord supplies . I homeschooled my 6 kids and I have few regrets. I wish I knew about minimalism when my kids were home. While they weren't over run with toys , we did have lots of clothes. We live in the northeast with very changeable weather. I had another homeschool mom tell me of a friend of hers whose children had only 6 outfits each, she had 5 children. At the time I thought that was weird, but thinking back on it , it was a wise thing to do. My kids played outside almost every day. They said they had enough toys, I probably would have had fewer things. Some people may think that sounds mean or stingy. I look at it as a positive thing. Kids nowadays are overwhelmed by the excess of things. I am mentioning this not to be controlling or bossy, I just wish I had known this myself when my kids now age 36, 34, 33, 31, 30 and 27 were little. God Bless you and your family. 🎉

We lived in a single wide mobile for many years out in the country. My dad replaced all the floors with real wood (not vinyl). Repainted some walls. It was nice. Your home has much potential, it’s much cheaper to do when you live in it. It just takes longer. I have window units in the home I’m living in now, one thought to cover up the ugly screen parts is to get foam board from dollar store and cover it with fabric.
When my husband and I retired we wanted to move to the mountains. While still working we looked at homes in the area we wanted to live. Everything was so expensive we wouldn’t be able to afford it once we retired. We ended up buying a double wide manufactured home (on a foundation, titles retired). It’s on an acre of land on a dirt road. We sold our house on 2+ acres and moved after we retired. We love the area, it’s quiet, lots of wildlife and plenty of room for a garden. Been here now for six years and don’t regret our decision. I’m too old to care what people think. You have to do what’s best for you. These days you’re blessed to have a place to call home.
Keep the black cover underbelly without any holes and keep the underpinning to prevent cats especially from getting underneath and tearing the black liner off. It will keep it so much warmer. Use dap spackling wood filler in the square pink container for basic nail hole filling, to reshape wood use dap in the round can. If your windows leak air use the 3m window plastic install indoors using a hairdryer. Makes a huge difference in your light bill.
I always told my son and I think it myself, there will always be ppl that have more than you and there will be folks that have less. Appreciate what you have and fo your best to take care of it. As a single woman home owner, I have somewhat limited funds. I try to do smaller projects each year and it all adds up in the end. You are doing great. Yard work and a little landscaping are small, inexpensive changes with big payoff on how ppl think about your home.

Me & my husband got Blessed & got a double wide on own land with well septic power & outdoor heater & air ALL in good shape 2005 needed some kind of flooring put in the bank ripped out all the carpet & just loving touches it was a forecloser on action great deal. Loved our kitchen perfect size 4 -2 so when u said what u said at the end I agree 100%. It's our home paid for & our loving warm cozy home. God Bless u & your family aww new baby. I absolutely love mobile homes and I wish more people would start embracing this way of living because they are very affordable and so peaceful. The maintenance on mobile homes are easier to do than traditional brick and mortar homes. Don't you dare feel no type of way. Your life is great. And for your air conditioner put some wood panels under it and extend the panels to add a space for a picture or plant to sit next to it

I’m 63 and I own a 1999 Mobile home. It wasn’t not my “dream” home when we bought it 12 years ago but it was what we could afford. Very slowly I have had things fixed, repaired and painted and upgraded but it’s taken a while because my husband passed away 6 years ago. This home has kept me safe, dry and warm. It’s a haven to me because it’s paid for and it’s mine. Without this home I would not be able to survive on social security. You are completely right in your thinking. Love your home. Improve it and care for it as it’s a family member because it will take care of you and your family. I’m happy to follow you and the progress and the journey. ❤

My husband and I brought out first home at the age of 23 and 22. Its a 1971 trailor 2 bedroom 1 bath. We knew we wanted to renovate so we worked on a new project every year. In 2014 we got a roof built over it, 2015 we enclosed the and added a piece in the back the same size as the trailor....and we did that up until last year now we have a 4 bedroom, 2 bath and laundry room. All the renovation we did along with help of youtube and family so yall definitely can do it!! And afterwards you'll sit back and be like look what we built together ❤️

My husband and I lost our new home in2013 I vowed I was so scarred from it BUT GOD! 8 years later we were blessed with a home double the size of the first one. It’s a beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood in fl but I have some cracked tiles and other stuff to replace. We will slowly as we have since we purchased it. I lived here 4/years before being told they want to sell and do we want to purchase. God had put the plan in place in 2016 and I was just being obedient had I not we would have had bad credit, no down payment and other obstacles. Keep up the great work be proud of your accomplishments and continue turning your house into a HOME. It’s beautiful with the minor touches u made already!

Thanks for sharing your home, I live in a mobile home and it’s not brand new, but it’s mine. After renting apartments most of my life it is a blessing to have a home of my own. I have a mortgage and I’m not mad, grateful to say the least. I do what I can to fix it up. DIY’s the $ store, Walmart and Amazon and an occasional yard sale. My home has come a long way. I’m always looking on RUclips for ideas and how to make changes without spending a lot of $. I’m a woman and have learned to change out my toilets, put up canon lights, even purchased some peel and stick tile off of Amazon for half the price among other things. My son was 10 years old when I purchased this place and now he’s 23 and this has been a blessing from the lord. After all these years there are still things that need fixing, slow and steady wins the race. I am content and thankful, God can bless you with something that is all yours, but remember no matter where you live, a mobile home, a brick and mortar home a rental a hotel or motel. It’s never the outside that makes it a home it’s what’s on the inside and I mean the inside of you and me. That’s what truly makes a home. God bless you.

Congratulations on your new baby! My only advice would be declutter. Especially while renovating. Declutter then declutter again then declutter some more. Get it out of the house as soon as possible. You'll have so much more room and it'll feel so much cleaner. Can you eliminate the window AC altogether? Maybe a swamp cooler on top of the house or if funds permit install central AC. Definitely exciting to live mortgage free..
More foam and white tape for the ac and I had a man Cork and install a wood board sealed in, it looked very put together and you can paint it after that. Also heavier curtains on both sides maskes additional details. On the sides and you can frame the curtains higher to the ceiling it brings your eyes up.
Also priming and painting and thick vinyl flooring makes a world of a difference house or trailer.

You are so right about being authentic with your home and channel. My hubby I fixed up 2 really old houses. My suggestion is try to finish one room at a time so it gives you a sense of peace. Pull out the non-working dishwasher and store tools/paint cans in that space. You can hide them with a curtain on a tension rod. Good luck 🍀

First time viewer and I would like to start off by saying for just having a baby...you look awesome! I love it. Especially first homes are so special and it is fun fixing things, changing things, etc. It takes time and money and you do like you all are doing and do what you can when you can. I don't know where you live but where I live we have a place called Habitat for Humanity and you can go there are get kitchen, bathroom cabinets, door, sinks. toilets, etc for cheap. We renovated our kitchen here in our "forever home" and we donated all the things plus extra furniture, drapes, etc. Me and my husband have 40+ years on you two young'ens...:) Thank you for the tour. My husband an I took over my dads mobile home, a 1990 skyline, very well made home. So when he got alzheimers ,we remodled everything but his bathroom and his bedroom, so he recognized and was comfortable . We eventually finished the whole house when he passed . Well Covid then my husband died. So I am grateful it was done before he passed . Just so much harder without him, this was supposed to be setting up for our retirement, thank God the home was already paid off. I have lived in mobile homes several times in my 65 years.outside of hurricanes ,but so far this home has stood the test of time.I am grateful I have this home. Its my sanctuary! Keep going you guys will have a very good home made for you and the way you live ,I did my home for the way we lived and so glad I didnt listen to everyone else on how or what we should do!

You can remove the wall strips and put spackling or dry wall mud in them smooth them, sand them paint them, and there won’t be any breaks in your walls.

I just found your RUclips channel. I love your openess and gratitude. As a grandmother of 6 grown children and 7 grandchildren, I find your whole attitude refreshing. I have a 1996 mobile that I bought 14 years ago , it is breaking down and my husband is fixing what he can and as Our Lord supplies . I homeschooled my 6 kids and I have few regrets. I wish I knew about minimalism when my kids were home. While they weren't over run with toys , we did have lots of clothes. We live in the northeast with very changeable weather. I had another homeschool mom tell me of a friend of hers whose children had only 6 outfits each, she had 5 children. At the time I thought that was weird, but thinking back on it , it was a wise thing to do. My kids played outside almost every day. They said they had enough toys, I probably would have had fewer things. Some people may think that sounds mean or stingy. I look at it as a positive thing. Kids nowadays are overwhelmed by the excess of things. I am mentioning this not to be controlling or bossy, I just wish I had known this myself when my kids now age 36, 34, 33, 31, 30 and 27 were little. God Bless you and your family. 🎉

We lived in a single wide mobile for many years out in the country. My dad replaced all the floors with real wood (not vinyl). Repainted some walls. It was nice. Your home has much potential, it’s much cheaper to do when you live in it. It just takes longer.
I have window units in the home I’m living in now, one thought to cover up the ugly screen parts is to get foam board from dollar store and cover it with fabric.

When my husband and I retired we wanted to move to the mountains. While still working we looked at homes in the area we wanted to live. Everything was so expensive we wouldn’t be able to afford it once we retired. We ended up buying a double wide manufactured home (on a foundation, titles retired). It’s on an acre of land on a dirt road. We sold our house on 2+ acres and moved after we retired. We love the area, it’s quiet, lots of wildlife and plenty of room for a garden. Been here now for six years and don’t regret our decision. I’m too old to care what people think. You have to do what’s best for you. These days you’re blessed to have a place to call home.
Keep the black cover underbelly without any holes and keep the underpinning to prevent cats especially from getting underneath and tearing the black liner off. It will keep it so much warmer. Use dap spackling wood filler in the square pink container for basic nail hole filling, to reshape wood use dap in the round can. If your windows leak air use the 3m window plastic install indoors using a hairdryer. Makes a huge difference in your light bill.
I always told my son and I think it myself, there will always be ppl that have more than you and there will be folks that have less. Appreciate what you have and fo your best to take care of it. As a single woman home owner, I have somewhat limited funds. I try to do smaller projects each year and it all adds up in the end. You are doing great. Yard work and a little landscaping are small, inexpensive changes with big payoff on how ppl think about your home.

Me & my husband got Blessed & got a double wide on own land with well septic power & outdoor heater & air ALL in good shape 2005 needed some kind of flooring put in the bank ripped out all the carpet & just loving touches it was a forecloser on action great deal. Loved our kitchen perfect size 4 -2 so when u said what u said at the end I agree 100%. It's our home paid for & our loving warm cozy home. God Bless u & your family aww new baby. Hey beautiful I just found your channel. I'm restarting my journey on RUclips. I have owned and lived in about 3 different mobile homes. I absolutely love mobile homes and I wish more people would start embracing this way of living because they are very affordable and so peaceful. The maintenance on mobile homes are easier to do than traditional brick and mortar homes. Don't you dare feel no type of way. Your life is great.
And for your air conditioner put some wood panels under it and extend the panels to add a space for a picture or plant to sit next to it

I’m 63 and I own a 1999 Mobile home. It wasn’t not my “dream” home when we bought it 12 years ago but it was what we could afford. Very slowly I have had things fixed, repaired and painted and upgraded but it’s taken a while because my husband passed away 6 years ago. This home has kept me safe, dry and warm. It’s a haven to me because it’s paid for and it’s mine. Without this home I would not be able to survive on social security. You are completely right in your thinking. Love your home. Improve it and care for it as it’s a family member because it will take care of you and your family. I’m happy to follow you and the progress and the journey. ❤

My husband and I brought out first home at the age of 23 and 22. Its a 1971 trailor 2 bedroom 1 bath. We knew we wanted to renovate so we worked on a new project every year. In 2014 we got a roof built over it, 2015 we enclosed the and added a piece in the back the same size as the trailor....and we did that up until last year now we have a 4 bedroom, 2 bath and laundry room. All the renovation we did along with help of youtube and family so yall definitely can do it!! And afterwards you'll sit back and be like look what we built together ❤️
