I LOVE broccoli, but my husband hates it. This year I'll be growing my favorite: Romanesco Broccoli. It's very sweet with a mild nutty flavor. Kind of like a beautiful, spiraled child of cauliflower and broccoli but better than both. There's no way he'll be able to turn up his nose at THAT. I started 4 plants in a tub for my first time this year,. All did wonderful even though I am not sure I planted them in the right timing? Well I should say last year I planted them in 2021 and kept them pretty much inside all winter accept on nice days that were not freezing cold. It did take 4 months to get any heads on them and 3 of them are producing heads minus 1 I just ate! YUM! First time I had organic Broccoli I grew myself. It was AWESOME! I am letting one go to seed since it did bolt on me and it was a smaller one of the 4. But I now have a couple varieties growing and even purple now too. I hope its good because I have never eaten it before.

I grew 12 broccoli plants this year. They all grew so good.
