I mean, being Mexican and trying false imitations of Mexican cuisine such as Taco Bell and other cheap alternatives, I can understand that it’s not even remotely close to being authentic yet I’m not going to make a huge deal out of it and treat it like like I’m touching a rodent like these Italians did. Just eat it for what it is: fast food that’s not meant to be given much thought anyway. They were excessively in offense to it. I guess that’s the Italian way to be dramatic

Two things of note: 1) When they wrote "disappointed in Italian" He said "No raga ti prego" (which means no guys, please!) and 2) Italian food is very local and very much a specialty per region. Ingredients are fresh and simple. Frozen food is not fresh or local, so it is very difficult to get it to taste good. Frozen food is better when it is a stew, soup, or sauce simply because it masks its frozen flavor--as an example I wonder if Trader Joe's made ribollita (a Tuscan soup) if it would get a higher score? Anyways, if you want quick Italian food, I'd recommend just making a simple pasta (using the brand De Cecco or a similar high quality brand) and San Marzano tomatoes; easy and delicious!

Trader Joe’s is great. Love the frozen Indian meals and dried juicy mango slices. If I’m feeling for Italian then I’ll go to Eataly.
Would love to know what’s in the meatballs, beef, chicken, etc? Italians make meatballs with beef, pork and veal and we use grated cheese too.

Pasta for 2 takes some 15 minutes to cook, and there are plenty of sauces you can make in that meantime while pasta is cooking: carbonara, tomato, puttanesca, pesto, walnut sauce just to mention a few.
