A-ha was probably the first group to use this type of video with the song Take on me

This was written during its not a celebration of war or a tribute to war. BUT a commemorate of service.

You were a little distracted by the stop motion work (understandably), but this anti-war song has Mark Knopfler's beautiful guitar work and emotional depth in it, that should make you cry. I was in the UK for three weeks, when the Falkland war began, and it was so useless...

As I understood it. Mr. Knopfler lost a friend in the Falkland wars. A war started by politicians for prestige.

This is about a dying soldier talking to the soldiers round him, you did not forsake me my brothers in arms.
    Then the futility of war....❤

Sir, let us salute and give thanks to all those who protect as, may it be the military, police, firefighters or EMTs. All those people risk their live every day.

I can still barely watch this video without tears running down my face, for the lyrics and what they represent. After all these years. I think those people, "in the crowd, cheering," are supposed to be people drowning in that flood of war. Nothing about this video is victorious. It's about the tragedy of war and the brotherhood of those who fight together and sacrifice everything for their brothers.

Hey my friend, This song allways reminds me of a British Mechanic i worked with in the 90s ,Former SAS ,Fought in the Falklins war! From a Canadian Army vet (First Field Artillery, Halifax, Dartmouth Reserves) Great Reaction video!

I have one question; did he tell you he was ex SAS, if so he wasn't, 99.9% of ex SAS would not admit to the fact they were special forces. and to work as a mechanic naa,

-We can see a classic scene with this song, on the TV show "Miami Vice" in the 1980's, (in last scene of the episode: 'Out Where the Buses Don't Run')

I'm sorry as said in another comment below, you talk too much, and you seem to be more into the pencil work, than the meaning of this song and video, good grief this is about people dying...

I'm new to this. Have some grace and manners. Your comment is what friends say to each other, not to people you just met. Your opinion is welcomed but would be better received with some tact. I wish you a wonderful life, peace.
