Hey Chris, my name is Elijah. I build puzzle boxes as a hobby and I would love to send you some of my work if you'd be interested. I will pay for shipping so it won't cost you anything. Just let me know if you'd be interested. Thanks for your time.
You seem to be the only video creator on Yt who understands that background music needs to be QUIET! Thank you SO much for making it easy to hear you speak.
It isn't that the magnet moves "past" the repelling. It's always repelling. But by offsetting the magnet you can make it pass the center point and start repelling the opposite direction, locking it in place.
First of all, the fact you could work all that out was absolutely insane. Second of all, as someone who is a nail tech i just need to say how nice your nails are hahaha!
@@MissZombunnie The technique is you just bite the corner to establish the tear, then you pull across to remove the rest of the nail segment. Any of the underbed stuff that gets left behind is easy enough to nibble with the front teeth, by day 2 you'll never notice.
Chris, you have become one of my favorite creators on the tubes. Your work on the Monroe institute was awesome. As a kid, my dad used to listen to the Gateway program, and you inspired me to get into it again myself (tried a few years ago). I appreciate all that you do and I wish you all the best man. This was a great puzzle, simple but complex, much like life these days.
I'm a relatively new viewer but have binge watched the channel since I found it, I love the format it feels almost intimate like you could be there in the room, I find many content creators annoying but I find Chris very sincere & most importantly honest especially when he talks about his struggles with mental health issues of which I can definitely relate. It's this channel that has got me through some tough days,it's fun to switch off that part of the brain & turn on the creative, puzzle solving part, I found some puzzle solutions if applied to life also work, thanks Chris just know that you're appreciated.
I just wanted to say thank you....I watch you everyday bc I'm living vicariously thru you 😆...I loved doing puzzles....but my RA has stopped everything fun 😖....cant even hold a dang pencil....but thankfully I can watch you...which is next best thing! 😉💜
Honestly with every video you can always tell the amount of work and commitment to provide such quality intros. I will admit that it's never something that really "matters" to me but I have to acknowledge the craft and ability. Even saying that I really enjoyed the more simplistic intro in this video all while still doing the puzzle justice.
I was legitimately heartbroken thinking you’d stop doing puzzles lol I watch them to relax & I genuinely don’t like anyone else’s versions lol you’re just relaxing 😌 lol yay
Chris, it is a revolver cylinder! You literally are ‘reloading’ and rotating the barrel to fire the next round. I bet it makes a really nice short of firing it out, sliding it on the side, rotating and reloading it.
How do you miss SO MANY OBVIOUS SOLUTIONS in your escape room game videos, then come up with such an elegant solution & explanation for this beautiful puzzle? I adore you and your excellent content. I wish there was a video of the mailbox reassembly. How long did that take? ❤
Amazing puzzle concept! Have backed the kickstarter and can’t wait to try it out myself Chris thank you for continuing to make such fantastic puzzle content ❤
I'd love to know why RUclips refuses to serve me your vids even though I'm subbed with the bell on... silver lining, I have some content to binge :D Awesome video as always!
I guessed immediately that the middle piece would need to be inserted through the "bottom" (as most people think top-down; I tend to think backwards), but didn't know about the magnet move. Dang, almost got it from just watching.
It seems like a clue is that the piece is in place initially, held by the magnets, and can easily be ejected. But, once ejected, it no longer goes in. So, something shifted during the ejection that needs to be delicately restored to the correct spot.
kinda thought it was a sort of maze on the inside of the insert and only getting the bead in the correct spot would it be able to go back inside the cylinder by using the magnets to move the bead around.
Love your vids man, but it drove me nuts you calling it a barrel, it's called a cylinder on a gun. I know, nit picky lol. Keep up the awesome vids regardless!!
This is amazing, think of the potential for energy usage, a build up of static energy+ all the benefits of magnets, then transfers into kinetic, the generation of electricity and motion... this is..I'm struggling to find the words.
I love the puzzles you do and can only wish to be half as good as you. Unfortunately I can not afford puzzle boxes, the kind you do, being on SSI doesn’t allow me to have the extra cash
Who's looking forward towards the end of September? With the fall soon approaching the colours grow in brilliance! As we feast on the summers toils. Don't forget the roses, carnations, and one of my personal favorites Solidago of the Asteraceae family. May their fragrance sooth as you trot on by!
Lol I've had this in my watch later for a month and finally roll it into my day and the terrible coincidence of Kill Tony being mentioned after the PR incident is poor timing. Youch
I think there could’ve been two magnets in the barrel. One to repel and a stronger one further in to attract. Edit: love your videos I’ve been watching them for years
1:29 gun "cylinder" not barrel. The barrel of a gun is where the bullets are shot out of - no matter the make or model. The cylinder is the part of a REVOLVER that holds the cartridge, which houses the lead bullet, the gun powder and the primer. 😃 N'est-ce pas? Comprend?

Revolver cylinder NOT gun barrel
Aged like shit
Amazing Video Chris. Were humbled by everyones support and enthusiasm for our latest design! Thanks so much!
Heck yeah!
It's genuinely an incredibly elegant design
Can we acknowledge the fire ass intro. The best thumps. Awesome puzzle guys. So intricate.

He also uses some kind of side chain compressor which many creators should do

yes

Wow, thanks!
I like the pen and paper to break it down. Made it fun to follow and exciting when you hit the solution. Nice one! Love these smaller puzzles.

I love the cinematics…
Keep it up and keep your head up high.. never let anyone bring you down down.. 🤗😘
What a simple yet complex puzzle! Great look and great solve. It was exciting and fun to watch you work it out. Thanks for all you do, Chris!

This is a great little puzzle that I never would have solved. Super clever.

I love the notepad diagram to explain how these puzzles work. It makes it really easy to understand how they work.
Me: that looks like a 🥦 grinder
Chris: it looks like a gun barrel
Me: oh
Which it is not. I mean it looks like revolver cylinder, not like a barrel.

That's an amazing puzzle that still uses repulsion to solve, but the fact it relies on forcing a magnet to repel past another magnet is amazing.
I'd love to know why RUclips refuses to serve me your vids even though I'm subbed with the bell on... silver lining, I have some content to binge :D

What an awesome puzzle and an even more awesome break down and solve! Excellent work Chris! 👍
That was so good and again as always awesome intro there!!!
That was a really good one. And even got the solution a second ore to before you. Have a nice weekend 🥰💡
Collaboration with Kill Tony is absolutely legendary bro that’s amazing 🔥
I always love your background music.
Such a simple, yet ingenious solution. Very nice.
Dude, that's looking brilliant in the rear view mirror.
Kick-ass doesn't start to describe it.
It is 7 a.m. woke up and first notification is Chris uploading a new vid 'just now'. A great way to start a day😁
I guessed immediately that the middle piece would need to be inserted through the "bottom" (as most people think top-down; I tend to think backwards), but didn't know about the magnet move. Dang, almost got it from just watching.
Same!
What amazing photo of the puzzle in preview! 😮 Hope it made you proud and happy.
whenever i watch your videos and you pick something up i scream in my head ''spin it'' and im never satisfied until you eventually always do lol
Still love the puzzle drop with whistle and graphic. Classic.
I have a grinder that looks like this.
Sweet, must be nice to use with those grooves 👌
It seems like a clue is that the piece is in place initially, held by the magnets, and can easily be ejected. But, once ejected, it no longer goes in. So, something shifted during the ejection that needs to be delicately restored to the correct spot.
just found your vids recently, enjoying all the older vids as well.

The most elegant
slip out ever seen.
hahaha truly beautiful!
What a fun and simple mechanic for the puzzle to hinge on.
This idea can be used for lock mechanism. Maybe it *IS* a lock mechanism in first place, from which they come up with puzzle.
I love the processing gag. I feel like that a lot during the last hour of my shift.😆
I love all your content chris
It's very cool. Not my type of puzzle but very well built and a great fidget toy. 👍
kinda thought it was a sort of maze on the inside of the insert and only getting the bead in the correct spot would it be able to go back inside the cylinder by using the magnets to move the bead around.
Very interesting. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful Day. Thank you for Sharing
And the bottom of the chamber is probably concave so when you lift the magnet, the bead rolls to the center.
Just starting following about a week ago. Already so excited for new videos!!
Great explanation and nice intro!
so cool. it's still repelling, just pushing the piece IN instead of OUT once you drop the bead underneath.
Love your vids man, but it drove me nuts you calling it a barrel, it's called a cylinder on a gun. I know, nit picky lol. Keep up the awesome vids regardless!!
Awesome drawing for the explanation!
I wonder if I would ever figure that out. I may have to find out.
Wow! Unironically incredible puzzle. The repulsion is both the problem and the solution.
Simply genius puzzle! ❤
That is so simple, and very clever :)
That was a cool puzzle. Great video!
What a good-looking puzzle. Very classy
Imagine getting $30,000..... a years salary for some people.... just to create a puzzle. These are crazy times we live in.

They thought it was funny so who cares
I'd love one for my collection but I now have a mortgage to pay.
I have just pledged on Kickstarter based on this.
This is an amazing puzzle
Similar to a gun cylinder, not a barrel.
I'm thinking the nonmagnetic ball stops the other magnetic part from sliding in 1 position, but in another allows it to slide.
I think there could’ve been two magnets in the barrel. One to repel and a stronger one further in to attract.
Edit: love your videos I’ve been watching them for years
Super simple, yet super brilliant.
Question: has Chris ever played the video game portal? I think you'll be very interesting doing a playthrough with him.
1:29 gun "cylinder" not barrel. The barrel of a gun is where the bullets are shot out of - no matter the make or model.
The cylinder is the part of a REVOLVER that holds the cartridge, which houses the lead bullet, the gun powder and the primer. 😃

Super cool !
Put the insert in ... holding it ... and smack it hard on the table to lock it into position..
