Something that consistently stands out-Chloe's confidence and leadership while putting the music first. She is leading the orchestra, but as a team player, not as a "prima donna." What an extraordinary achievement so early in her career! I think we all look forward to what's next when it comes to Chloe Chua and the SSO.
@@huitrecouture All I mean is that Chloe seems to give a lot of attention to the orchestra as a member of the ensemble. I agree that Prima Donna to describe other soloists is inappropriate. I meant to express that I her level of eye contact and non-verbal communication with the conductor and other principals (for example) is unique and displays confidence for a musician of her age.
I've carefully listened to the Digital Recording and have watched the stream many times to form a critical review and to show that even though I'm partial but not a sycophant. Chloe and SSO! The verdict is out: I accuse you of being faultless :)
The slow-paced interlude that begins at 3:12 is out of this world and breathtakingly beautiful. The single note with which it ends - which Chloe holds for 30 seconds - is incredibly rich and moving. (Some budding composer somewhere should build on Cage's 4' 33" by writing for Chloe a work of the same length that consists of a single note!) The CD is "Album of the Weekend" on the UK's classical station "Classic FM." Tracks from the album will be aired over the weekend, beginning at 2pm on Friday March 11.
Bravo ….. keep it up the good work …. You will shine more with classical music as u grow older with better strength … can’t wait to listen to you again 10 years later
I enjoyed immensely your video and deeply appreciated your talent. I also watched your & Christian Li in the Menuhin Competition 2018, it was spectacular play. Though I do not know much about violin 🎻 but I do listen to classical music, and honestly I love Vivaldi The Four Seasons very very much.
