Overloading An Inverter: How does it work

- Most inverters let you oversize the array up to a point relative to the inverter AC output. We often call this overloading ratio or DC/AC ratio. I get questions like "how does that work?" and "how does that not damage the inverter?".
This is how the inverter handles an oversized array (be sure not to exceed the inverters published limits).

You are showing point on iv curve on 5 kw and speaking that it will try to reach 8 kw ! Explanation not proper at all and what you show on graph you speak totally differently and very fast too
You are confusing the I-V curve to the P-V curve. That's ok! Look carefully at the key and color code. The teal color and dot isn't representing power (current vs voltage relationship), only the yellow. The explanation is correct. Thanks for watching! :)
