Today I wanted to look into history of something very special. Something that influenced auto industry in so many ways, but sadly left forgotten by many people. If you ever have driven a modern muscle car or a large family saloon, you should be thankful for Pontiac Catalina because this is where it all started taking shape and raising a bar to the highest point. And today I want to take you on a trip through the evolution of this amazing automobile. And I'm sure that after watching this video you will understand why this is truly one of the most amazing cars in auto history and should never be forgotten! I just purchased a 60 Catalina. It’s far from stock. I love the 60 Impala but you can basically have the same car with the Catalina for less than half the price. Gotta love it.

pontiac in 1982, downsized bonneville, renaming the grand lemans. it was a huge failure. in 1983, pontiac was forced to import the parisienne from canada, to stay in the full size rear wheel drive segment. the car reminded americans of the chevy, (basiclly it was a rebadged chevy) and was discontinued at the end of 1986, only the wagon survived, being called safari, until the end of 1989.
