My favorite part of the Izuna Drop is just how impossible it is. Particularly how the Ninja pulling it off doesn't get equally hurt by it. Especially when there's an explosion involved. I just love the ridiculous Ninja move!

I also like how you added both well known AND underrated/obscure fighting games in this compilation, it's much better that simply adding the most famous iterations of this iconic move such as the ones from Hayabusa or Yoshimitsu.

Amaterasu can also perform this move in Okami by equipping a reflector as a sub-weapon and blocking an enemy attack at the right time.
This was really well done, a ninja move set is not complete without the classic Izuna Drop.
I think the last bit could've been saved if you remembered one of Spider-Man's moves on SM2 (the movie's game). He actually does an Izuna Drop with no height limit as long as you can go to the tallest point possible and it gets REAL fast on your way down.
That game was so freaking good.

i liked the Izuna drop in DOA 3 on the last world stage is the best cuz Hayabusa just screams haa!!! and u fall for a amount of time and take out half of the opponenets health.

Its such a ridiculously over the top and awesome move with a basis in reality. One of my personal favorite "ninja techniques" that's stuck in media. It even has a basis in reality: Weasles jump on birds IRL to do air takedowns!
Randleman suplexing Fedor was probably the closest to irl Izuna Drop
Izuna Drop was popularised by Kamui Den and its spinoff Kamui Gaiden, both Sanpei Shirato Works.
Came here from Kamui Gaiden which was the earliest piece of media to use this movie

Honestly the Izuna Drop and Kinniku Buster might be the most recognisable grapples in video game and anime history.
Do the Japanese have some sort of thing with dogs doing this move? You've got Poppy, Amaterasu, and Iggy all doing it. I guess it's true you can't spell "izuna" without "inu".

Ryu Hayabusa might not be the creator of the great izuna drop but we can all agree that he is the only character that does it way more majestically and basically at this point this is his signature technique along side the flying swallow.
Plus the fact that in Ninja Gaiden 3 razor's edge he created different variation's of the izuna drop just shows how he has become the true master of that technique.
Hell yeah, he's the greatest Izuna Dropper! That's why I based the whole video around his theme!
Saeki/Ryuji and Master, as well as Joker and Cherry, also use this technique in Fighter's Destiny and Fighter Destiny 2 for the N64.
Nero from Devil May Cry 4 can do the izuna drop to the angel armors. Kanbei from Sengoku Basara too

Of all games to have one, i know that in Lego Legends of Chima: Laval's Journey, Eris has an izuna drop as one of her finishers, not a fighting game i know but still an izuna drop in a lego game of all things
