    When will you have the new shades of the Purito bb cream? I’m curious about the new shades, and though you said you considered the newer lighter shades more fair, I worry they’re just different undertones. I’m excited to see swatches. 🤓

    I love the Bondi Sands Hydra range. I have extremely dry skin and wear the Hydra face sunscreen most days. I’m still working my way through my bottle of Hawaiian Tropic body sunscreen (sentimental buy for the scent) but have the Hydra body sunscreen in my back-up drawer. I’ve just received the Purito BB cream so still trying it. It took an age to get here. I also got some Tony Moly lip stains which are a great pop of colour and terrific under masks. Great video as always.

    The propolis ampule got me thinking the Beauty of Joseon Glow serum, which is fantastic. It heals my skin like nothing else, I’ve been struggling with light perioral dermatitis and after just a couple of weeks of using the serum it calmed down almost completely. It has 60% propolis and 2% niacinamide, I think the propolis is what is healing my skin. It’s marketed as fighting inflammation, controlling sebum production and treating hyperpigmentation, so it makes sense. I’m on my second bottle and I have a third in the cupboard! So so good! And it’s affordable, cruelty free and comes in really cute packaging! It’s not scented but has a faint citrusy scent, probably from one of the plant extracts in it. If you haven’t tried it I highly recommend it! Their new sunscreen is also supposed to be great.

    I've been using Skylar and 7 Virtues perfumes their both cruelty free, clean and affordable, personally I like the warm woody leafy smells and they both have a few I like. I've never used the Paula's Choice cleanser so I cant recommend a dupe but the best cleanser in the world is the Ole Henriksen Oil Balancing cleanser it's the only one that both keeps my oil in check and keep me from getting dry spots combo skin suck.

    The closest dupe to the Paula’s Choice Resist Cleanser that I’ve found is the La Roche Posay Hydrating Gentle Cleanser. Fragrance free, really gentle, lotion texture, and non-foaming. No idea if it’s cruelty free or carried in NZ

    The purito BB cream has an SPF of 62. And a pirido sunscreen has an SPF of 65. So it seems to me that the BB cream would be a slightly better sunscreen. But from your comment I get the impression you don't agree?

    • @ambergerhelper7852
      @ambergerhelper7852 2 года назад +2

      My understanding is you must apply 1/4 teaspoon to get the SPF on the label. For a foundation, it would be too cakey. Doing two thick layers of sunscreen is much different than two thick layers of foundation.
      I do mix sunscreen and foundation (with SPF), though, to tint my sunscreen. I’ve heard that’s a no-no, but I’ve never had an issue, and the sunscreen filters work fine together.

      on my bb cream it says spf48 x"DD but she said on the new bottle theres no spf written, so either they took it completely out or they tested it and the spf didnt work like back then in their centella sunscreen. Either way, theres no one in the world who would put as much bb cream on their face as we need for broad spectrum protection, so usin a sunscreen under ur base is highly highly recommended. Most common messure to decide how much spf u need, is 1/4tsp but Cassandra Bankson always says 2 finger lenght if its in lotion form, 3 if its fluid.

      @@ambergerhelper7852 sunscreens are formulated so that they can create a film over the skin. That involves both the active and inactive ingredients in a formulation. When you mix two sunscreens (or a sunscreen with a foundation) you are affecting the sunscreens ability to form that film and likely lowering the SPF.

    • @erinodonnell386
      @erinodonnell386 2 года назад +2

      Depends. If you apply a quarter to a half teaspoon of sunscreen thoroughly to your face, neck, and ears (including around your eyes, your eyelids, behind your ears, in your eyebrows, in your hairline, etc) then you are likely getting the spf stated on the bottle. No one applies their foundation, bb cream, tinted moisturizer, etc that way because you’d look insane. That’s why it’s recommended that you use a dedicated sunscreen, let it dry for 15-20 minutes so it can set up its film, then go in with your makeup.
