I literally just bought the same machine and sold my ranger crew. I have a garage full of goodies sitting in the garage waiting until I can get back up to my property in northern michigan and do the full build in my pole barn. Nice work bud.
That’s awesome! Man so far I’m loving the general. I was kind of leery because I loved the performance of my Rzr 1000, but the General is like a Swiss Army knife
@@RaztechPowersports yeah we had a 17 rzr 1000 xp4 that we loved but we have 4 kids now and everyone wants to ride so we "upgraded" to a ranger xp1000 crew and it was great for a while but I had back surgery last September and I just could not take the punishment of the ranger in the trails anymore. Long story short we did a bunch of research and since the general has a wider cab we opted to try and make it a 6 seat as opposed to a rzr especially since I'm 6' 250 lol and it's worked out terrific. Went with a utvma rear bench and center console delete and we went with a mountain fit hoods front bump seat to still retain our front center console. Superatv control arms, ball joints, rhino axles, 30" terrabites on tusk wheels, xp fender flares, upper doors, heater etc etc. Overall you have a new sub and I look forward to what you do with yours, same color as mine and everything 😀 maybe we will find some inspiration from you.
@@MrKeithJ2 yeah the Ranger is definitely more of a workhorse. That upright seating was not for me either. The general feels like a lazy boy recliner compared to the seats in the Ranger. I also really like the automotive grade full doors. Nice and safe for the kids. Thanks for the sub and I’ll have more content coming soon 👍🏻🏁
GREAT VIDEO!!! I have been searching all over for a video of someone who did this exact setup, and it looks great!!! I have the same General 4, and it is even the same color, so thanks for the visual! Did you end up doing any clutch work or gearing for the larger tires? Does it feel like a dog with the extra weight and diameter?
Thanks! No clutch work. Still feels pretty snappy but a little bit more belt drag / engagement in high while taking off slow. your reduction might be a ticket but it’s a ton of work. Definitely not necessary, just use low range more often.
@@sethtromburg1589 The only area that it rubs is the front fender flares on full compression. I’m considering having some larger bump stops installed or installing/building a front lift kit. More front preload is the temporary fix for now

@@RaztechPowersports Awesome, thanks! Did that inner fender end up rubbing when offroad or no? Looks pretty close!! Again, great video!
