When you mentioned Jimmy Carter's funeral, I double-checked. It's a holiday for federal employees, but no one else, unless your employer deems it a holiday. That's so strange. I think there should be a national day of mourning for the victims of the terror attack in The French Quarter, but maybe I just feel that way because it hits so close to home.
