I'm from Poland, I was raised in a Catholic family, I converted to Islam around 6 years ago Alhamdulillah. All that Shaykh is saying here is totally true. We learn about the history of Christmas in school here. So everyone know about it. And they don't care. That's just something that I could never understand. People say here that they keep the Catholic and Roman traditions. They know that but they don't want to think about it, that they actually keep the pogan traditions, that it has nothing to do with Jesus a.s.. This is one of many reasons why I became Muslim SubhanAllah.

Growing up in a Catholic school, I have always questioned the validity of Christmas as the birthday of Jesus. Though my question was as simple as, if BC is “Before Christ”, why isn’t Jesus’ birthday on 1 Jan AD? 😂😂😂
Another question I had was why all over the world celebrate Christmas with decorated pine trees and Santa Claus in winter clothing? While in Australia it’s summer in December, and the tropical countries know no winter. Why does the world celebrate Christmas in winter vibe?
This video answers so many of my childhood questions 😂😂😂

@@gabrielaprofetaphillips1740 that is also what the pastor explained, which is acceptable.
The thing is that, after school, I would go home and study the Quran. And everything in Quran is so clear, there are straight answers to any question I can think of. There is no “hidden meaning”. A is A and B is B.
There’s no “Well it’s not actually the birth of Jesus, but….” or “God is one, but…..”
Those “extra explanations” I would get in my Catholic classes felt unnecessary (for lack of better word) to me, because in comparison, I never needed those when I studied Islam.
As for the Christmas trees and Santa Claus, that’s just straight up western propaganda to me. There are different trees all over the world, and light can be represented in many different ways. The fact that it’s always a pine tree covered in snow means that it started from one source, and that source is in the northern hemisphere.

@@gabrielaprofetaphillips1740You can't pick and choose which verses of the Quran you wanted to believe , Quran is not a Bible & Islam is not Christianity , you don't do that in Islam , you don't interpret the Quran as you see fit , Allah says very clearly in the Quran that He will never accept any religion other than Islam , and you must follow it wholeheartedly.
O believers! Enter into Islam wholeheartedly and do not follow Satan’s footsteps. Surely he is your sworn enemy.
      -Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 208
And whoever desires other than Islām as religion - never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.
      -Surah Āli-ʿImrān, Ayah 85
And from those who say, “We are Christians,” We took their covenant, but they neglected a portion of what they had been commanded to uphold. So We let hostility and enmity arise between them until the Day of Judgment, and soon Allah will inform them of all they have done.
      -Surah Al-Māʾidah, Ayah 14
Those who say, “Allah is one in a Trinity,” have certainly fallen into disbelief. There is only One God. If they do not stop saying this, those who disbelieve among them will be afflicted with a painful punishment.
      -Surah Al-Māʾidah, Ayah 73
Indeed, they who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the worst of creatures.
      -Surah Al-Bayyinah, Ayah 6
Of course you will meet with your Lord , there is nothing guarantee in this life except death , but if you meet Him as a disbeliever , what's the point ?
They seek to deceive Allah and the believers, yet they only deceive themselves, but they fail to perceive it.
      -Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 9
He is the One Who has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book, of which some verses are precise-they are the foundation of the Book-while others are elusive. Those with deviant hearts follow the elusive verses seeking ˹to spread˺ doubt through their ˹false˺ interpretations-but none grasps their ˹full˺ meaning except Allah. As for those well-grounded in knowledge, they say, “We believe in this ˹Quran˺-it is all from our Lord.” But none will be mindful ˹of this˺ except people of reason.
      -Surah Āli-ʿImrān, Ayah 7

    NOTES 📝
    Islamic perspective on Christmas
Two important individuals who shaped modern christianity
    Paul (around 40- 50 CE)
    Constantine (around 300 CE)
Paul was from the earliest converts, he never met Jesus, he claimed that he saw Jesus in his dream, Jesus told him he was sent for all the people not Jews alone, and he came to abolish the law
Paul formed the Pauline christianity on the above principles (he never said Jesus was God)
Christianity was then divided to two main sects and many other sects as well
    Pauline Christianity and Jewish Christianity
Jewish Christianity was the original with a bit of changes, the closest to Islam, the closest to the teachings of Isa (AS), they believed in all Prophets and strictly observed the law (shar’iah)
Pauline Christianity was preached to the Romans, a lot of Romans began accepting this version of Chrisitianity
Christianity was not governed by any scholarly body as a result of which different interpretations formed different sects and there were different interpretations of the trinity.
In the year 310 CE, Constantine made Christianity the official religion of Rome, in order to settle the disputes among the Christian sects, he called for a gathering of priests at Nicaea (Turkey) and they settled at the trinity. (from there this was the mainstream Christianity which was to be followed)
As a result of the Nicene Creed, all other versions died out. Paul however did not introduce the concept of trinity
Constantine introduced Sunday to be the holy day as it was the Sun’s day (their God) before they adopted Christianity
During the winter solstice (they had their festival called Saturnalia) because now the days were going to become longer,i.e, the sun is getting stronger, as the sun will help in agriculture, so they celebrated it.
Saturn was their god of Agriculture
    This introduced Sunday and Christmas
Viking accepted Christianity after 600+ years, they had a different mythology
Their god would come to people to give gifts on reindeers during the end of winter
A sect of christianity venerated Saint Nicholas, he would give gifts to children
So eventually,The Vikings mythology, Saint Nicholas formed Santa Claus and giving of gifts and the reindeers.
Early christians were anti christmas, the puritans in England banned it and passed a law in 1659 against it.
Germany was where the christmas took its full form, as they had the trees, and they celebrated this pagan festival. The Royal Family of England were actually from Germany, the house of Windsor, the postcard story and from there the celebration of christmas spread across Europe

Some correction.. 17:55 , Emperor Constantine didn't declare Christianity as the state religion of the Roman Empire. It was done by Emperor Theodosius, in the Edict of Thessalonica, some 50 years later (380 AD). Constantine however, put the kibosh on the persecution of the Christians.
20:05 Emperor Constantine didn't name Constantinople after himself. He named it, 'Nova Roma' or 'New Rome'. It was named Constantinople in his honour some 100 years later (450 AD) by the Emperor Theodosius II.
Notable mention that Emperor Constantine did not call the Council of Nicaea because he wanted an orthodoxy to be solidified. Then Bishop of Cordoba (Spain), Hosius, advised Constantine to do it because of the great 'Arian Controversy'. Basically a Bishop named Arius in Alexandria, Egypt, had different ideas about the nature of Jesus (still trinity, but it's complicated). Arius started to clash with another Bishop, called Athanasius of Alexandria. And Arius started to gain followers quickly. Which posed a threat to the church. To resolve this issue, the first council of Nicaea was called. Constantine did not say anything, did not persecute anyone. Although he suppressed paganism. He basically asked the Bishops to settle their differences on the nature of the Christ (Monophysite, Miaphysite etc), as it was causing issues among the Bishops.
Fun fact, they couldn't come to an agreement. And many councils took place over the next centuries. The Nicene creed that people know today, is from the council of Constantinople (381 AD).
Second fun fact, Constantine eventually agreed with Arius, and banished the Trinitarian Athanasius of Alexandria to somewhere in Europe. Just before Arius could implement his ideas inside the church, he died and the church went back to the older trinitarianism. A Year later Constantine passed.

This is an interesting mixture of facts and mistakes. Firstly, Konstantin did not introduce trinitarianism. The idea of a trinity was around in the second century CE, and was extensively documented in the early third century, roughly 100 years before the reign of Konstantin. Also, Arian Christianity is a variety of trinitarianism; it's nothing like Islam, and nothing like the religion of Jesus's (AS) earliest followers.

Hi Julian, you might ask yourself if Trinity is such a core and important belief (as it should be, if it was true) why didn't Jesus preach Trinity and explain it unambiguously throughout his ministry? Why is the only verse in the New Testament that explicitly mention trinity was deemed as not in the original text and hence had to be taken out of the bible in the 20th century by bible scholars?

    • @Julian581000
      @Julian581000 Год назад

      @grastant6819
Simple search would let one understand the aspects of Trinity in both Old testament and in New testament.
One thing both Christian and Muslim agree upon is that Jesus is the Messiah.
What confirms that he is the Messiah? The Old testament Prophecies. Specifically, crystal clear picture portrait of Prophet Isaiah. Prophecies are inspired revelations from God to his people. Now let's see what God has revealed about Messiah.
Isaiah7: 14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
      Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
      Isaiah 53
He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.
We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.
By oppression and judgment he was taken away. And who can speak of his descendants? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was stricken.
He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.
Yet it was the LORD's will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the LORD makes his life a guilt offering, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand.
After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light of life and be satisfied ; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities.
Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
These are just few of many, Daniel, Micah, Jeremiah etc.. from Old testament.
Why would a Prophet calls Messiah as Mighty God and everlasting Father ?
In Daniel why was Messiah given seat next to God himself?
Why would Messiah have authority over all creation and has the ability to forgive, breath life, ressurect which are the exclusive attributes of God?

      - I have the authority to lay my life and raise it back again.
      - I saw Satan fall down like lightning.
      - On the cross he forgives and say the thief will be in paradise.
      - All authority over the world is given to me.
      - Ordering the Ocean
      - Attributing quality of God to himself such as Light, truth, life.
      - So'n shall set you free.
      - Alpha and the Omega, First and the last.

@@TheJackjackWe read in Genesis, the Old Testament, that Prophet Ishmael is not only the eldest son of Prophet Abraham (peace be upon them), but it also praises him as being righteous, promising him a great nation from his offspring; chapter 16, 17, 21, 25 tells the story of Abraham with his wives, Sarah and Hagar.
I will select the verses that are pertaining to our subject, however, I request readers to read those short biblical chapters in order to grasp the complete meaning:
[And the angel of the LORD found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur] (Genesis, 16:7)
The above verse is talking about Hajar and Shur is current day Saudi Arabia and Yemen; specifying Yemen means that it is the western coast of that region where Makkah is currently located. The above short verse coincides well with the Islamic belief that Angel Gabriel helped Hajar to find water. Please pay close attention to the word “wilderness”; Allah says in His book when Abraham left Hajar and Ishmael (peace be upon them) in Makkah when it was a wild uninhabited land:
{Our Lord! I have made some of my offspring settle in a barren valley near Your Sacred House! Our Lord! I did so that they may establish Prayer. So make the hearts of people affectionately inclined to them, and provide them with fruits for their sustenance that they may give thanks} (Ibrahim 14:37)
Regarding Ishmael’s credibility which is completely ignored by the churches and their followers, the Old Testament states:
[And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.] (Genesis, 17:20) The nation mentioned in the above verse is no other than Prophet Muhammad’s nation (peace be upon him), the Muslims.
If we read Genesis 21:13-21, the picture even gets clearer, I will only quote the last verse:
[And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink. And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer. And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.] (Genesis, 21:19-21)
The verses before the above, makes it clear that it is talking about Ishmael and his mother (peace be upon them); this is describing when she reached the barren valley without water then God send His angel to show her the well of water; no other than the Zamzam well. The wilderness of Paran has been identified as current day Makkah; I am quoting: “the wilderness and mountains where Mecca is situated” The Quran mentions the name Bakka for Makkah:
{Most surely the first House appointed for mankind (for the worship of Allah) is the one at Bakka, blessed and guidance for all nations. In it are clear signs: The station of Abraham (where he used to stand in worship). Whoever enters it is safe. Performance of pilgrimage to this House is a duty to Allah for all who can afford it;…} (Aal-Imran 3:96-97)
In Psalms 84:6, Baca is mentioned by name according to King James Version:
[Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.]
While in the Aramaic Bible in Plain English’s version, the word “Baca” has been translated into its original meaning “weeping”, since “Baca” means so in both Aramaic and Arabic; names of people and places shouldn’t be translated but it has been, so I have to use two different versions to make my point clear.
[They passed by the valley of weeping and they have made it a dwelling place, also blessings will cover The Lawgiver.] The King James Version mentions “well” while the Aramaic version mentions that they make the valley a dwelling place. If we put both together, we get the whole picture, the people who are performing pilgrimage drink from the well and make Baca a dwelling place. This is explained through Barnes’ notes on the Bible, I quote:
“It would be vain, however, to attempt now to determine the locality of the valley referred to, as the name, if ever given to it, seems long since to have passed away. It may, however, be used as emblematic of human life - “a vale of tears;” and the passage may be employed as an illustration of the effect of religion in diffusing happiness and comfort where there was trouble and sorrow - as if fountains should be made to flow in a sterile and desolate valley.
Make it a well - Or, a fountain. That is, it becomes to the pilgrims as a sacred fountain. They “make” such a gloomy valley like a fountain, or like a road where fountains - full, free, refreshing - break forth everywhere to invigorate the traveler. Religious worship - the going up to the house of God - turns that in the journey of life which would otherwise be gloomy and sad into joy; makes a world of tears a world of comfort; has an effect like that of changing a gloomy path into one of pleasantness and beauty.” Even though the writer of the above notes does not seem to identify the place of the Baca valley, however, he mentions immediately in the paragraph below about pilgrims and about worship in the house of God turning that in the journey of life.
Please notice the similarities in the explanation above and the Quranic verses that I quoted earlier. Also Muslims call the pilgrimage the journey of life since it is only required once in a life time if one can afford it.
Unfortunately, the churches with all their different denominations and not specifically the Catholic Church hide these facts and do not speak about Ishmael’s side. The story ends that him and his mother were sent away; it will be hard to believe that Abraham sent his wife and a child into wilderness without accompanying them as the Quran mentions. To complete the story, Abraham left them in the wilderness as a command from God. Angel Gabriel dug the ground to uncover the well. An Arabian tribe came and settled with them due to the presence of water. Abraham returned to the valley when Ishmael was a married man. They completed the building of the Kaaba structure together. It is hard to swallow that Jews and Christians do not know the life details of one of the most important prophets in the three major religions, Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him), or have they chosen to ignore that portion of his life which has to do with Islam.

Where did he get the idea that Jesus' original name was Esau? It was well documented to be Yeshua. Also, an epistle isnt a book; Paul didn't write a single book in the NT, and he didn't abolish the law. Paul simply claimed that the law was for the Jews, and didnt apply to Gentiles. The "faith only" doctrines mentioned are also found far later than Paul, originating with the early Protestants.
Also, some of the history regarding how fast and where Christianity spread at what times is a bit inaccurate (the land now called england was christianized twice). It's also inaccurate to say that Islam didn't struggle against Pagans easily, because there are still pagans in formerly Muslim lands (hindus in what is now india), and neglects to mention that the reason there's no pagans in Arabia is because they were persecuted, while in Rome they were still treated as citizens until Justinian.
The visitgoths were also Chalcedonian by the time the Muslims arrived, and they were only a small ruling class. Arian Christianity is also still extremely different from islam.
He's also conflating Saturnalia and the birthday of Sol Invictus, but he's pretty close to the reasons that Christmas is celebrated on Dec. 25
Vikings are not celtic. Wtf is he smoking? Not to be rude, but seriously, don't be so ignorant if you're going to be a public speaker.
Also, the puritins are not early Christians, and Santa Claus's origins aren't German; just our cultural depictions are similar.

Jesus Clearly turned water into wine. That is written. Jesus walked on water literally. Jesus raised the dead and healed the sick. Jesus referred to himself as the Son of Man. Died on the cross and was raised from the dead. See who is ignorant or stubborn? You only believe what's written in Quaran. Why even read the Bible at all?

This lecture is a short summary of Christianity. If you would like to know more then read and research for yourself.....I suggest that you read academic works so that you have peer reviewed, which are least biased.
      Hope that helps
