Cedar is perfect for kindling. They replaced all the telephone poles on my street two years back. Before removing the old ones they cut off the top 6-7 feet. I spoke with them and they happily left me 8 of the sections. Got my chainsaw out and cut them into rounds. I now have several years of kindling for the house and to take with us when RVing. Used some while ATVing (CFMOTO 600 Touring) on the Seguin trail last week. Had a nice fire by the lake. 👍

I got my splitter out, I had a huge tree taken down in my yard. Now I have to get it cut up, split and stacked before snow fly......I hope, lol

Working on it, the base of the tree is about 5 feet across. I cut some then split some and the stack some. I had to buy a 32inch bar for my chainsaw
