Great video! I really appreciate your perspective: do you watch tv? I heard someone say recently that she does not watch tv, basically for the same reasons you stated for why you only listen to gospel music - it's guarding what she allows into her spirit. Especially with all of the garbage that's on tv these days. I had never thought about it from that exact perspective but I had already stopped watching reality tv shows because of the way I noticed I would feel watching them. Watching people arguing and fighting all the time was making me upset and angry. No judgment against people that do watch them, but I knew that for me, I had to cut that out of my life.
Definitely will be getting that book Crazy Love, I've been feeling like a lukewarm Christian lately and want to be on fire for God again. Your videos are helping me, thanks!

Lineage of grace is a personal favorite (i think im gonna read it again lol) what i love about these books is that they draw readers even closer to God. as for my notebook i alwys love go back and read my notes specially the sermon/workshops notes I would love to hear your book suggestions for ladies in ministry, must have books on apologetics etc...maybe in part 2 vid???

I think starting out when you're trying to find Christian music to listen to it can be a bit overwhelming because it's artists you've never heard of, songs you've not heard, etc. It took me a while to get into it-- but just wanted to share how I found music I liked. I got a Pandora account (free) and listened to the Contemporary Christian, Gospel, or Christian Top Hits channels (there are all sorts of Christian stations on there) and would jot down the songs I enjoyed and then ended up making a playlist with that music on RUclips, but you could put it on you iPod or whatever. Just wanted to share something that has helped me in that regard. :)

I completely agree that The Bible is the foundation course and backbone to further reading. The Bible itself urges us to be of the World but rooted in Him & this is why I disagree when believers only listen to christian music or cut themselves off completely from reality. In order to draw more souls to God, it is wise to still be conscious of what connectors are present but other than that, I concur with all points made in this video. Hey hun, Im not condemning any Christian who listens to other genres of music this is my own preference as a Christian especially after I read Colossians 3:16 .and also the bible doesn't say we should be of the world, Romans 12:2 tells us 'Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind' , 1 John 2:15 also tells us not to Love the world. So we are in the world but not of the world. Thanks for the love, I really appreciate it xxxxx
No where in the Bible are we urged to be "of the world"! Jesus tells us "you are not of the world therefore the world hates you".Another part of the Bible says "If any man loves the world the love of the father is not in him." This is not referring to the people in the world but to loving the corrupt worldly system that is evil and opposed to the Lord.
