    This is actually pretty cool. Not the design of the phone, tbh it's forgettable. But being able to pull the battery is great on a phone at this price. Usually it's only on true budget you can do that. I guess HMD are going for true dependability. So it's a good move.

    I'd love to see a phone with this kind of repairability, but with slightly faster chipset and better display. Then I would definitely consider buying it, repairability is a very important factor for me when buying devices, and I'm really glad that HMD actually made the decision of making an eco-friendly phone, which I can fix myself without losing warranty.

    • @reyynerp
      @reyynerp Год назад +3

      the constraint factor of having a "slightly" faster chipset is that the chip will output more heat, and almost every android manufacturer overcome this problem by adding passive cooling on the back of the phone, which means poor repairability, poor sustained performance, not-so-good peak performance, and ofcourse, cannot implement removable batteries

    One main suggestion for Nokia would be reduce the aspect ratio of the screen from 20:9 to 19:9 or 19.5:9, the 20:9 aspect ratio is irritating, second reduce the size of bezels those are an eyesore and doesn't makes the device look good while using it, reduce the bezels until the display starts making 87% of screen to body ratio or more than that, that's it for now.

      @roshanpereira7650 Год назад

      @@somethingiknow26 yeah according to my experience of using 10s of phones so far, 6.1in display is the best size for a phone, the 16:9&19.5:9 aspect ratio is the best, however they are not putting a 8gen2 or a isocell gn2 camera sensor or 12gb lpddr5 Ram etc. in it to make a huge phone like this, these phones are coming with cheap processors which can still run efficiently with stock Android and 4500mah battery, the display quality would also increase in an LCD when higher pixel density is created, it can be written display size is reduced but not the resolution, by putting this unwanted thick bezels Nokia is wasting our money as we are not getting the screen but a rubbish but black piece of glass all around the screen 🤢🤮

    The fact that you can easily repair the device by yourself, in this day and age, is amazing.
    Software being pretty much stock android is another thing i like about Nokias.
    On the other hand, the design is a bit old now already. Especially the display. Bezels need to be decreased and you could just have a punch hole for the camera. I can understand if the old design is to save money. After all, this device is on the cheaper side.
    Having a super low resolution macro and a low resolution ultrawide cameras is funny to me. Those will just be inactive 99% of the time since the image quality will be poor when compared to the main sensor.
    I guess its cool to have 3 cameras nowadays. Advertising and all that.

      Bro I think you've updated the device, I'll suggest you one thing when you buy any Android phone refrain from updates, if you'll not update the phone till it's life time it will work as new, it's not this Nokia's problem, is because of the Android update that is creating this restart problem please try to understand it, I'm a die hard fan of phones, I've buyed several of them, and every phone which I've updated has gone through serious bugs like the Moto X play switches off automatically when at 40%, it can't keep itself connected to 4g connection for more than 10 seconds, my realme C2 and 7 pro both have faced the issue of ghost touching after updating them, realme C2's half of the screen is now not at all responding to touches and more devices have faced such issues
      It's Google behind all these problems
      *JUST MARKETING TACTICS*
      They purposely create bugs in their update so as to slow down ur phone and after some time u get so irritated that you change the phone, if you change the phone then obviously it's going to be a new phone, the new phone's manufacturer pays license fees, etc for the Android OS and Google's proprietary apps installed in that phone and Google creates its profit out of there, and the phone manufacturer also gets profit as it's product is being sold and these manufactures too induce some bugs purposely to increase their sales
      Hence never update any device, and make sure I'm not talking about the app updates in Play Store I'm talking about the system update in settings okh.

    Nice but we need better SOC than Unisoc T606 and fixed position of status bar icons, cuz on renders looks nice, but IRL they are not centered(on G60 they are too high, on X30 also and on X20/X10 too high and too left, new Motorola phones have it centered, so its possible on almost clean Android)

    I really love nokia and it's clean ui but i can't use Nokia mobile due to the lack of call recording feature which is essential to my work.

    Can we just go back to the old days? When we can swap, or change the battery so easy. No need tools like phone nowadays. And please, don't use cheap processor with high price phone. If Nokia targeting midrange phone, they're just need to use midrange cpu too. Not low cpu, but the price is almost like flagship phone

    Would be great to bring the same concept brought to a slightly higher end phone, or even a range of phones. Sick of having to buy a new phone every 2 years due to the battery being knackered.
