8:46 why the expression is -0.5*thisLayer.index+0.5? I know what's your intention but the number of -0.5 and 0.5 I don't understand exactly. 0,5 means 0.5 frame or 5 frame?
Ok - so its all working - except my repeated shapes dont scale/rotate individually. They all rotate and scale of the null's x/y pos and anchor point. Any tips?
How did you actually do this with the previous animation? Because as I understand it, you can't use this technique with "repeater", you have to break apart each level into a different layer to offset it.
Hi there, thanks for this excellent tutorial. I'm having a few issues with the alpha layers not being in sync when I transition the blocks off - thus creating hairlines that are a few frames out...Its fines animating in / up. Any help / advice would be awesome...thanks again
hello, i am really enjoying your tutorials! I had a question if you dont mind, at the beginning of the video when you are demoing the effect, around 0:08, there is a purple background. It looks like there is some sort of texture or effect that changes every frame or so, and it looks really cool. Is this effect easy to pull off? I am not sure how to do it. Thank you!
Hi, thank you! Yes, it's really easy to make. Just add a Fractal Noise layer, turn up the contrast and turn down the brightness until there's just a few white spots. Then you can use it as a Luma Matte layer with any color :)
ngl, i love the intro transition expecially with the music!
Hehe appreciate it!
Love this content, so happy you are back! I am excited to learn that grain effect soon :)
