When I finally met up with my father 20yrs later he showed me pictures he had from our childhood and there was my twin brother pushing me in a wooden cart with a red metal handle (I also remembered my leg was in plaster because I'd broke it) and in the picture there was the plaster cast!.... I remember my P1 teacher at Easter giving all us kids Cadbury cream eggs, I remember those days as clearly as yesterday. So YEP, core memeories last until certain diseases steal them!

Clarifying it now, my class helped make a box for my kindergarten teacher to use to propose to his gf, once the box was finished he took it, put the ring inside and proposed to her some time after taking it. We didn't see the proposal, we just know that he did and that she said yes.

That was actually the perfect way to include her class on her special day! Having them at the ceremony plus a mini reception at the church, including the children, was brilliant! Having them at her actual reception would have really increased the cost, and honestly, little kids at a reception just get really bored quickly, and because of this, can end up running around, and creating havoc!
I love how excited her students are. U can tell they love her. How often does a kid that age witness something like that!? Beautiful thing for young men & women to be to learn. Commitment & marriage, choosing a spouse to live your life with. Made me cry. Those squeals - those kids were sooooooo excited. Imagine when mum says 'how was your day at school today' 😄❤

$100 a plate, I would say no way to any part of the reception! When my second grade teacher got married, we are informally invited to the church wedding (at same church where we went to school) but nobody went because our parents knew it was a gesture and a bunch of little kids who gave knows her all of 6 months would be annoying and potentially loud! A parent collected $5 from each family and we gave her a wedding gift as a class. I love my kiddos at school but not on the most important day of my life (plus reception: my dad saved that for me and and future husband!) maybe if I had a former student who was grown up and we had kept in touch, but that’s different. That’s kind of a proven relationship now young adult and a nice representative of all kids i have taught over the years.

She invited all of her class to her wedding. Mrs. Mathews was her name. She made a major positive impact on my life. Not only educational but life lessons.
