Excellent presentation. However, let’s address the real and serious aspect of alcohol in SOP. It seems that most of the School Leaders are addicted to alcohol at some level. So being the case why is alcoholic served to aspirants at spiritual retreats? Serious question and one which seems to be conveniently ignored in SOP.
There was often mystery in certain school behaviours when i attended. One was almost afraid to ask. It offered some good stuff however there were alot of spiritualized egos. It seems to go hand in hand with the subject matter. Back to your point maybe a good stiff drink and philosophizing go well together. I find it so. Were all dreamers to some degree. I dont know if the SOP students would admit it. Hope you get a response to your question as it will hinder your experience there.
@brandankelly, Thank you for your comment. We do sometimes have wine available on retreats but consumption is very modest. What you describe isn’t our experience but it is a serious point. Perhaps you could contact us via hello@fses.org if you have any further concerns.
So happy that Hypatia is getting proper objective examination.
Thank you so much for presenting this.
Glad it was helpful! Yes there is a lot of myth around Hypatia.
Really enjoyed this
Glad you enjoyed it - thanks for watching.
