I love this flip through. Your artwork is beautiful. I’m amazed how much you were able to do even when you were feeling burnt out. Your gentle commentary about your work and your journey during last year is so honest and captivating. It felt as though you came to a new appreciation of what you accomplished and took us along for the ride.
Hi Margaret, thank you for leaving such a thoughtful comment! ❤ It may be because I am always inspired, encouraged and supported by the journaling community. I am so happy to share my journey with you 🥰, and I really appreciate your words!
I enjoyed this so much! It represents the ebbs & flows of real life. That’s why journaling is immensely personal. And you should in no way feel inauthentic. This proves just how authentic you. And yes, give yourself more grace! Thank you for sharing! 🙏🏾💗
Your journal and illustration style are so beautiful! I remember discovering your account around this time last year and being absolutely in awe of your spreads. I'm sorry to hear that you've had a tough time behind the scenes but I'm glad you've had the chance to gain some perspective and distance from those videos and spreads and being able to appreciate them as part of the process. Having a creative side hustle, having a day job and trying to engage on social media in between is nearly impossible to balance... I've had my fair share of burnout last year as well and I'm also trying to learn to be more graceful with myself, less perfectionist and just trying to put certain things as priorities in some weeks whilst others have to take a back seat instead of trying to do everything all at once all the time. And the intro of this video was just beautiful! 🖤
Hey Michaela! Thanks for leaving such a thoughtful comment ❤️ I am so happy you found me and that you have firsthand experience of what I’m talking about 😌. Your journal is so meticulous, I can only imagine how you manage that, your social media posts and your professional life! I’m such a fan of your journaling and hope that this year you’ll also find the balance to keep creating but also to be content with every other area of your life 🥰
