How? His point was you can be the best player in the league, put up stats and have a great record but you still aren’t mvp. Thats his point. Shaq was best individual player and most dominant player from 1999-2004 in the nba but he only deserved one mvp. Jokic best player in the league, great season great record but shouldn’t be mvp. Sga should be. Shaq was displeased how voting went were sga, Luka, Brunson and edwards got no votes which shows the voters aren’t voting properly for who is mvp. Sga has the individual stats, team success, team importance, individual achievements that make him a better mvp than Jokic. Like Nash wasn’t the best player in the league, but he had the individual stats and impact on his team and team record that gave him the award.
TD, Shaq, kg, Kobe, lebron, dirk, dwade, AI all have cases to mob in their career but didn’t win as many as you’d think because of the criteria of mvp. Kobe didn’t win mvp in his best season.

But, Nash was exceptional that one year and propelled the unexpected Suns team to heights no one expected, and he won the MVP which was deserved. Same can be said for this year, SGA was the best player on the best team in the western conference, and his play propelled the youngest team in the NBA to win the Wild Wild West, and surpassed Jokic’s Denver Nuggets which was not an easy feat. Now, you have the audacity to ask me if I know what MVP means? Read the above explanation again, I just explained it for you with an example.

Because nobody watched full 82 games of all the teams to have a holistic view. So to pick the most valuable you have to take a look at terms like value added and value repacement and win shares and on and off the court and stuff like that. Which all of them, belongs to joker with pretty large margin. At the end you can choose who you want, but you have to back it up with quantify the word "value", unless you are just picking your favourite player

This a nba problem because he has more MVPs don't means he better player. More MVPs than Shaq, Duncan, Kobe, curry and Ginnias. Shaq got 28 points and 12 rebounds (in a really good year). He didn’t get squat in assists so his team didn’t get any other benefit from him other than other than rotationally because of the double teams. Jokic gets 26+20 points for his teammates along with the 12 rebounds. So his team is getting 46 points from him instead of 28 AND they had to hide Shaq at the end of games because fouling him gives your team an automatic win. You’re saying that the MVP is devalued since Shaq ? 😂

@@Chrispd2005 Shaq was never the scoring leader was a terrible free-throw shooter which meant he was useless in the last five minutes of games, and had no ability to score more than 5 feet away from the basket. That was my point, that everyone says he deserves more than one MVP yet his only real skill was being bigger and quicker than other centers so he ran into an over people to dunk the ball.

You gotta look at how’s the team without the player plus their team record. Both at the end got the exact team record but iirc the Nuggets without Jokic have like the biggest differential going from like +9 to -9 that just shows how VALUABLE Jokic is to his team, almost impossible for the Nuggets to win games if he isn’t there, same thing when the time he’s resting in-game. While SGA does indeed have a good narrative the OKC actually are solid and it showed in those last games he didn’t play that the team could handle it.
