Great choice❤❤❤❤No one is reacting to the Feelies. I have been fan since the late 70s. Saw them perform live at least twice. There are a few Feelies spin-off bands that are worthy such as Yung Wu, the Trypes, the Willies. Keep the ear worms coming!

Feelies are amazing. Moscow Nights and Loveless Love are my favourites but their music is something else man

In the back of my mind I know I've heard this. I know the name because the late Anton Fier was an early drummer. His later group, the Golden Palominos, are equally underrated.

Hey Grey… that was brilliant ! Right up my alley! ( Correction… after a second listen…. It’s F’ing brilliant). I knew the band name but never got around to listening to them. Yeah you can really hear the VU influence. Another band they would have had an influence on were Galaxie 500 and lead songwriter Dean Wareham in particular …. In fact I believe the Feelies drummer Stan Demeski went on to play drums in Wareham’s post Galaxie 500 band Luna! You’ve reacted to both them before. I also thought the singers voice sounded very like another brilliant band from New Jersey (Hoboken)…. They are Yo La Tengo. Think you’d really like them… they started in 1984… never broke up and still releasing albums to this day…..Music is such an endless adventure…even though I’ve heard a lot of different music over the years… I always feel that in knowing a lot of music it actually makes me realise how much I don’t know…. As there’s always so much out there that I have yet to discover…. I’ll definitely be checking out some Feelies now!👍

Awesome input, as usual, Mr. Finbarr. And glad you liked.

I have to check out this album. For some reason I stopped at Crazy Rhythms (which is amazing)!

Love the Feelies for quite some time. They have a few songs with that slow build or long fade, and with The Feelies, lyrics and vocals seem to be a stream of consciousness kind of thing. Alternately trancelike, and frenetic, kind of puts you in mind of another band that came out of Jersey around this time, huh? Thanks for this upload.

Just found this song myself this year. Duh. How did that never get on the radar?

This is one of my top songs ever. And most fun to play on guitar!

…. And on another point you made… the intertwining guitar melodies…. That was great. One other band comes to mind that do this so well…. A band called ‘Band of Susans’ from New York. They were around between ‘86-‘96. Three guitarist in the band… with all The guitars weaving in and out and round each other. Amazing! Louder , guitars than the Feelies but so good…I’d recommend their second album from 1989 called ‘Love Agenda’…. The track ‘It’s Locked Away’ is so good.

A fraud or an impostor would be someone who was engaged in misrepresentation. You’ve been clear that this is a voyage of discovery of songs and sounds that you missed when they were originally happening and you’re doing catch-up. No shame in that. Great is great whenever you find it (and there’s a lot to find). Most people were not tuned into music like this when it was happening (I was tuned in and there’s still a lot that I’m only discovering now). Maybe you weren’t supposed to discover it until now so that you could share your journey with us on the YT. Who knows?
Based on your reaction to this band and song (its a great one for sure), I will recommend another band to you called Green on Red that was part of the 80’s Paisley Underground psychedelic revival scene. I would suggest the song “Narcolepsy.” Its a classic from that time.
