- Hey everyone! This is just a super quick video to show you how we prune our cucumber plants. We have been doing it this way for years and it always gives us amazing production! In previous years, we have had problems with Cucumber beetles, but we purchased some beneficial bugs through NATURAL INSECT CONTROL ( We are not sponsored ) and I really think it worked as far as keeping our beetles and spider mites away..here is the link if you want to get info or order through them.

Great help for this new gardener! Quick, concise, & clear--THANKS!
You ladies are awesome!
I was just in the garden and noticed that my Armenian cucumbers vines are beginning to spider web out. Grabbed my laptop, watched your 4 minute video, and now ready to prune and tie. Short and sweet, my favorite format for a how to video...thanks!
Thank you! Love that you just pinch because I think it's so much work to always clean pruning shears!
”Short and Sweet” is the best straight to point video. Hope you do more this kind of.
Thank you! 🌷❤
Love short and sweet videos, right to the point, very informative and I just learned how to prune my cucumbers!
Direct, clear and concise instruction. Thank you!
Wow I've been watching all sorts of cucumber youtube videos and this is by far the best explanation on stringing & pruning cucumbers. So neat. I'll be doing the same but I have 7" trellis netting I'll clip to. Subscribing. I love how you break down the structure of the vine.. the main stem, the branch, the fruit, the tendril and the sucker. Make it so easy.
I’m brand new at gardening and I started w cucumbers. Four plants in a 8x3 wooden raised bed and one tomato plant...which is hidden under my “invasive weed” looking cucumber plants as Miss Molly called them. Lol. I wish I would have found your channel sooner. I can’t wait for round two. I will learn a lot watching you girls. Y’all are awesome. Thank you
Thank you from Fiji. Definitely applying this lesson in my garden.
Thank you for sharing this video. It was so helpful to a novice gardener like myself. Easy to follow and straight to the point, just the way I like it. Thanks again.
No time is wasted. Thank you.

Short and sweet!👏🏻👍🏻🌹
Great video. Thanks for the information 👍
To the point short and sweet
The only pinching I do is my wife 😅 but yes this does improve growth in cucumber as well, I can't stop hearing this Jamaican guy, cucumba, it's probably my favourite thing in my garden, cucumber takes away bad breath, incredible how much water it has and yet so insanely flavourful ❤ hope I didn't offend anyone, I had a few drinks and actually added a slice of cucumber to it, kinda killed the taste in a good way, I feel very healthy right now 🥳😇
Very nice and simple video, thanks 🙏 greetings from Thailand 🙏
Wonderful.
Thank you for the tip great video👍🏽🙌🏽
You're welcome 😁
Thank you
Short and sweet like you two awesome ladies are. Well Haili is the short one. LMBO. Oh she is gonna get me for that. Great job done my friends. I kinda let mine run wild this year. Most of the time I pure the snot out of them. Hope you ladies have a great day. Tell Wayne I said Happy Fathers Day!
Thanks my Awesome friend! Happy Father's Day!
Good things come in small/short packages😉 Happy Fathers Day!!
Haili is definitely a farmer girl!!
@@Growwiththelaplantes where do you get those clips and what kind of string are you tieing the plants off to?
Oh thanks for this! I wasnt sure what to prune back but this was very helpful thanks ladies :) May I ask how tall your cucumber plants are in this video? I just need an idea of how tall I need to prune mine back because I have my cucumbers growing on our balcony so I'm looking for ways where I can keep my balcony nice and tidy like yours :) thanks in advance :) - Marie
Great video! Especially liked Matt's [Off The Ranch] theme song music in the opening. Much Love,
Very helpful, ty!
WOW! Thank You. I am New At This! This Is A Big Game Changer. Heading Out To Do What You Just Taught Me. I Wish Much Love And Happiness Forever!!! -tracy-
Nice vlog thank you for sharing your ideas
Remove the 1st 5 flowers. You get a longer harvest, plant gets stronger (more root mass). If not, you overload your cucumber plant! Greetings from a agronomist.
I wanted to know what those buds were on my cukes and you two sweeties went right to it. I'm trimmin when I'm done with my salad. Thanks ladies!
Interesting experience u màke me wana to try!
I like the information you shared. waw....you have really a nice garden. Best wishes...👍👍👍
Excellent
I watch this and it makes perfect sense. I go to my two cucumber plants and have very hard time figuring out which part is the growth point. My first garden so I'll keep watching over and over.
Hi you are showing us the grow point is from the female flower how about male flower is there any growing point
Yes pruning is essential, but there are times when I don't like to cut the suckers maybe because I only have one or two cucumber plants hehe! Thank you for the tips sis.
Lovely
O my god you are so good thank you so very much, howdy from Fortworth texas
Very interesting 👍
nice ! , I just grew my own cucumber plant in a pot and it is masive , i had secure it with some wooden dowels and string but I pruned some branches already , now Im getting male flowers but I hope my plant starts producing female flowers soon so i can get some fruit :D

Great video … straight to the point! Where do you get those plastic clips?
Great video.👍👍👍♥️😁
thank you so much :)
Thanks for sharing 😍👍👍👍
Very informative and perfect length! What variety are they?
Much obliged ladies
thanks
Ahhhaa. Nice one
Thank you :)
Thank you so much for this video. This is exactly the information I needed. I think I’ve pinched suckers too early on my tomatoes armpits. Is it possible that I pinched out future tomatoes?
Great video, thanks! I’m curious why you add new clips instead of twisting the plant around the string. Would save time and clips 😊
Great video, were you using drip? What kind of Fertiliser did u use?
Thank you ladies. I have similar setup, using Earthbox's. I've not tied them up like that before. Is that just for space management?
Very helpful indeed !
How to take care of cucumber is good, make you happy
Thanks for the help! I am a novice gardener as well. Where do you get the clips and strings from? Thanks Jim
Thank you for this clip,
I am new to gardening and never grown cucumbers, now I got some very large potted cucumbers and all of them starting to have droopy leafs:( I’ve been watering them and it’s pretty warm in my greenhouse. I’ve been researching so much and everyone is saying something different. Did a test on the stems and and it’s not a bacteria infection, some leafs have yellow spots, some are good looking. Is there anything I can do to safe them?
Thanks, alway wanted to know about how it's done.
You're welcome
The branch with the huge leaf is also called the Sun Leaf ... thanks for the help! Hope my 5 cucumber plants end up successful like your green house
Thank you, and best of luck!
