This song finally got the views it deserves
6 years ago, I had discovered this song while studying at my university library. It was a bright day, I had just finished a grueling math assignment, and I was feeling like having a good day. Coming from a lifetime of depression, I remember walking along the coastline and feeling happy for the first time. I stopped to smell the roses, and in that moment it began to bud in me that there was hope. I didn’t have to die, things weren’t that bad, and quite frankly, everything will be okay.

Here again two years later! I’ve since moved into my own apartment, started two new jobs (not concurrently), and been through a couple of relationships that ended in mostly good terms. I’m sitting near the shore right now, a ton of birds surrounding me cause I have some fries they want.
Overall, life is okay. My brother passed away in 2022 and I’ve been grieving my best friend who left us in 2012, but each day I can wake up and recognize where I’m at is a gift. It’s the best outcome of the worst timeline, and if nothing I’m grateful to be someone that people go to for help and comfort.
