Please also make tutorial on how to make low poly hair cards to make low poly hairs 🥺
Amazing introduction not only into new hair system, but also into geometry nodes.
Thank you a lot.
I have to try this (using Blender3.3). Thanks for this tutorial.
Already conversant with the new hair system of blender, take your flowers my gee!!!!
The best video ever on making hair! As a Blender beginner I have spent days trying to figure this out...I wish I would have saw this video days ago! You definitely are a master! Thank you so much!
You're very easy to follow, it popped into my head when you couldn't think of a specific word and I still knew what you meant before you remembered.
Love your work, easy to follow. A quick tip in terms of the production of your videos…this video has a high level noise, maybe a fan or something you have running in the background, maybe a heater…maybe run your video through some audio filters that get rid of the annoying frequency noise. It would really up the production value of your work and not distract from the great information you are presenting.
You have the most clear explanation out of all others I have watched so far. Thank you for this! Do you think there is a way to "thin out" the clamped ends? They look good but I think an adjustable thining (or making them gradient transparent?) would make them look even more perfect. Also, is there way to apply some sort of spline subdivision to make any angles smooth?
Please tell me I’m not the only one who got Michael Meyers vibe from the thumbnail.
This video is a good example of how the complexity and non-obvious requirements to make something produce a usable result results in so much time consumed that the artistic impetus has long been forgotten. I want a tool where I can make art not get stuck playing with endless groups of technical objects whose purpose I do not understand. This is why I never get anything accomplished in blender after two and a half years of playing with the program.
very good tutorial!! super useful! namely the geo node workflows...not much documented! thx!
amazing tut!!! had to rewind a couple times to truly follow, but rly well explained. Thnk u :)
one weird question tho...
how to you add the UV map to this new system so you can use a texture map from Substance as its material?
I see that the Surface tab gives you two options: Surface and UV map. No idea if that's how you use it... but is it? I'm too n00b for this :(
This tutorial is so simple and so effective! Awesome! Thanks!
I'm gonna try to add one or two clump modifiers.
Super excellent video, thank you.
thankyou!
Fantastic!! thank you
I think I've fallen in love with our tutorials. On the "Easiest way to create hair in Blender 3.4" (next one) I found out and solved your problem with the eyelashes at 19:18. Congrats anyway.
i have a question pls, this hair in your vide looks beautiful but i guess if you make this to a mesh it would be over 100 MB or ?, should i prefer the method in your other video ( AAA Realtime Hair ) when i want to make hair under 10 MB ? 😇
So with the current version, you add an interpolate hair geo node then a clump node , frizz etc which is fine.
But how do a I create a new empty hair group with the same modifiers, but with no curves
So for example like you have done I want do have the top of the hair, side ,back all separate, but with the same modifiers on each hair group
EDIT so i went to link data, copy modfiers which works fine :)
Thank you - I am also moving to geo-node for hair. Looking forward to more tut from you!
Thank you
Vry well done!
Thanks man!!! Please make more grooming tutorials)
Extremely useful, thanks! Any thoughts about physics simulation using curve workflow?
No doubt it will be implemented to geonode system soon but maybe there are some workarounds for now?
just asking as a beginner, is this method like the new way i should learn, or do i have any interest on learning the method where u start creating a scalp, then use particle hair etc ? because it looks like you have way more controle this way and the combing in sculpt mode make it looks way more fun !
why my Hair is lagging ? when i start grooming, or add hair its hard lagging, even in Evee on low settings...can you help me ? did i missed something ? thanks sir ! this is really great
Greate tutorial but in sculpt mode its working slow. how can we speed up the sculpting?
Thank you!
Great tutorial! Hey, does anyone know how to convert it to curve (not CurveS), so we could export it as alembic? (I mean, I exported it as an alembic file, but Unreal didn't recognize it as alembic and gave me just that standard mesh importing option tab. i want to make MetaHuman groom hair)
amazing tutorial. thank you
how to rig this new hair system? mine dont want follow the bone :(
Iam getting UV islands must not overlap error how do i fix this?
Properties Editor > Curve Data tab > Surface Panel said someone on stackerexchange to get a UV map to see where it overlaps, but iam unable to find the "Properties Editor"??
all very nice, but i'm still waiting to see how we can animate the hair. right now there seems to be no way to do it
i thought the intention of the new system was for the hair to animate automatically if the mesh it was on was animated?
@@sonickles_ It deforms with the surface, but Shah is, I believe, talking about simulations for longer hair. As it is, this new tech can only really be used for short hair.
@@recurveninja yup exactly. for longer hairstyles some simulation is necessary. right now you cant even manually animate
actually figured out a way to animate the hair. it works with a mesh deform cage.
I have the latest blender, but this does not work. It's like you did a step in-between but didn't
want to show us. smh. Like everybody else
I notice you are having the same issue as I ama with hair passing through the ears or scalp, is there a way to apply collision detection between the hair and the body and hair collision with itself also?
At the moment that feature hasn't been added
Using your setup where would you place the curve to mesh node for exporting a mesh of the hair?
I have downloaded 3.3 version but cannot find density and some other tools, any idea?
It works but my hair has a lot of straightness to it It doesn't look natural at all because it's not curvy.
The value math random value node keeps displacing the whole thing into random direction as well as spreading it appart,
I cant my bro my said missing uv map ? how create one
When I paint the hair strands on to a mesh they appear as big thick spikes rather than small strands of hair...total blender noob here...is there a setting I messed up somehow? Haven't really touched the hair system before so I don't know how I could have messed it up.
Seems to be something related to the imported mesh cuz when I just start new project and apply hair to the default cube it looks fine....idk
Cool but how to save this hail like mesh?
why its so lag on me?
Hair is not rendering for me in render- cycle
Why ..?
But it can be seen in Evee Render
its just not adding any hair for me
5:00 when i change the number of amount in Duplicate Node my hair Disappear. Only when i change the number under 7. I left it on 7 so i can follow the rest of the video.
Next Drama: In Minute 12:40 when you add the Vector Math Node. When i change the number of scale nothing change. Nothing !
I waste 1 Hour on this. Iam done
i dont see the add new hair option
make sure you selected the head or object before
@@dahnsenwahnsenyes i needed to update bkender thanks
This does not work for the random value made the hair into a box
Bledner
that's not how you do grooming
nice tutorial, thank you
