Round 5 opponenent here. I had watched a few of your videos in the past. At the time was interested in mono white, and since you play pretty much everything i watched a few. After playing in person (which i was pretty nervous about) i can say that you were my favorite opponent of the day. as a note, i really had never played a paper match of vintage before that day and had only played a few matches of mono white about a year prior. Happy to say that i ended up cashing, which was a first for me as well. All in all, the my first experience playing vintage is easily one of the best memories i've made in a long time and i'm glad i got to play against you!
@26:00 you mentioned BUG at 18th. I looked into it and thats the pilot that lost the win and in to Dave Kaplan! And get this... it was UNPOWERED BUG! 🤯 It was the highest placing non powered list in the tournament. I have a list of the unpowered rankings and players if youre ever interested. BUG seems like the perfect blue deck to play unpowered if youre going that route. Anyhow cheers and awesome vid!!
Really enjoyed your breakdown of the feature match. It's a great point that live chat always seems to miss that Magic is played by two humans and humans make mistakes. It's also much easier to see the correct line with overhead views and hindsight.
A little piece of feedback - the Moxfield deck tech is a good interface, being able to mouse over cards and stuff. But it wouldn't hurt to have deck photos in there somewhere. Not for minutes on end, but worth a few seconds somewhere. Part of what's great about the older formats is how pretty the decks are.
Loved playing vintage for the first time in paper. Forgot to say hi, but loved the deck and will most likely try some PO variant next time around. Blue lurrus seems a bit broken rn.
Glad you found a deck you like! going 7-2 with an off-meta pick is of course very impressive. As a viewer I love seing games played using this deck. It makes for interesting games.

Was Hank the originator of oswald lurrus in general or just the main innovator post Saga restriction? Im super curious about the history of the deck

Nico who made the deck had an article on it
"... Just to hear what Reid and ... The... Commentators... have to say." LOL, thanks 😉
Just to hear Kevin's silky smooth voice
the stops on the faces are gold.
I swear, next year i will make it to eternal weekend
Last time I was in Pittsburgh I was in a semi parallel parking on the sidewalk to unload alcohol.
Reject haters, become PO
Until Ouphe cycle back in
Don't mind this deck vs ouphe. Lots of answers. Its not easy but it's OK matchup
I was finally able to afford playing at the vintage champs thanks to counterfeits! It was a lot of fun!
red hot video, king.
I am glad you won!
Poor David Tao...
Nathan balanced me so hard R1 G3 T2 on the play I just immediately lost the game to it he is an insanely good player
